Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in microchannels

Different metallic supports (aluminum foams of 40ppi, honeycomb monolith and micromonolith of 350 and 1180cpsi, respectively) have been loaded with a 20%Co-0.5%Re/γ-Al2O3 catalyst by the washcoating method. Layers of different thicknesses have been deposited onto the metallic supports. The catalytic coatings were characterized measuring their textural properties, adhesion and morphology. These structured catalysts have been tested in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) and compared with a microchannel block presenting perpendicular channels for reaction and cooling. The selectivity depends on the type of support used and mainly on the thickness of the layer deposited. In general, the C5+ selectivity decreased at increasing CO conversion for all of the systems (powder, monoliths, foams and microchannels block). On the other hand, the selectivity to methane increased with the thickness of the catalytic layer due to the higher effective H2/CO ratio over the active sites resulting from the higher diffusivity of H2 compared with CO in the liquid products filling the pores. Indisolublemente ligado a su percepción como producto destinado a un público infantil, el cómic ha evolucionado a lo largo del siglo XX desprovisto de la legitimidad intelectual rápidamente adquirida por otros medios como el cine o la fotografía, y la atención que se le ha dedicado desde la arquitectura lo ha relegado habitualmente a la categoría de mera curiosidad. Pese a ello, los cómics han suscitado y continúan suscitando el interés de la disciplina, siendo objeto, desde su introducción en el espectro cultural y académico en los primeros 60, de un flujo constante de artículos, exposiciones y estudios que lo redescubren periódicamente para su consumo por parte del público arquitectónico general. Sin embargo, este interés no es un fenómeno reciente. Las relaciones entre narrativa gráfica y arquitectura se remontan en realidad al comienzo de la modernidad, que intuyó en ella un potencial revisitado por nuevas generaciones de arquitectos interesados en explotar sus posibilidades como herramienta de comunicación, pero también de diseño

Se ha estudiado la flora vascular de un área representativa de la Navarra silícea: la Sierra del Mendaur. El catálogo elaborado comprende 561 táxones de los cuales, más de una veintena se citan por primera vez para Navarra

Ectomicorrizas presentes en la plantación trufera “Los Quejigares” (Soria)

En este trabajo se describen las ectomicorrizas presentes en 16 plantas de Quercus ilex L. subsp. ballota (Desf.) Samp. de 22 años, de la finca de 600 ha que gestiona AROTZ-CATESA en el término municipal de Villaciervos (Soria). Además se presentan los porcentajes de micorrización de las ectomicorrizas más interesantes. Este estudio se incluye dentro del proyecto LIFE 99 ENV/E/000356 “Revalorización de bosques productores de trufa: un ejemplo de gestión sostenible”. SUMMARY: This study describes the ectomycorrhiza occurring in 16 twenty-two years old seedlings of Quercus ilex L. subsp. ballota (Desf.) Samp., in the plot of 600 ha that AROTZ-CATESA manages in of Villaciervos (Soria). Mycorrhization percentages of the most interesting ectomycorrhiza are also reported. An approach to the spatial distribution of fishing effort in the Gulf of Cadiz.

The spatial distribution of the fishing effort exerted by the trawl fleet of Isla Cristina port (Huelva, Spain) is simulated by means of an application (FAST) for Geographic Information Systems (ArcView), which can offer results just with limited input data. The simulation were carried out with three input variables: depth, distance from fishing grounds to port and the fishing laws in force in the area. The results obtained from two simulations tested match up the effort distribution detected in the area for both the fleet as a whole and a given segment of the same.Postprin

Au/CeO2 metallic monolith catalysts: Influence of the metallic substrate

Ceria-based gold catalysts were successfully deposited on ferritic stainless steel (Fecralloy) and aluminium monoliths. The prepared monolithic and reference powder catalysts were characterized by means of S BET, X-ray diffraction, glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray analysis techniques and tested in the CO oxidation reaction. Characterization results put in evidence the diffusion of cations from the catalytic layer on the surface of the monoliths to the metallic oxide scale and inversely, from the oxide scale to the catalysts, thus altering the catalytic formulation and affecting the CO oxidation properties of the catalytic device. The extension and nature of the modifications produced depend on the nature of the catalysts and the metallic substrate, as well as the reaction conditions applied. These facts must be considered when gold catalysts are supported on metallic-structured devices. © 2013 The Author(s).Peer Reviewe

Standardized Symbology for MSP, delivered Styled Layer Descriptor for MSP INSPIRE Data model

Es una presentación oral sobre los trabajos realizados por personal del IEO, en relación a la elaboración de una "Style Layer Descriptor" SLD, que permite asociar una simbología común a los objetos existentes en el MSP INSPIRE Data model, desarrollado por ECOACUA.Se trata de una comunicación oral presentada en el Workshop MS11: Ready to use MSP products, enmarcado en el proyecto MSP-OR. Advancing Maritime Spatial Planning in Outermost Regions. En este workshop se muestras productos generados en otros proyectos de MSP que son de utilidad.
