Superconducting Pairing Symmetries in Anisotropic Triangular Quantum Antiferromagnets
Motivated by the recent discovery of a low temperature spin liquid phase in
layered organic compound -(ET)Cu(CN) which becomes a
superconductor under pressure, we examine the phase transition of Mott
insulating and superconducting (SC) states in a Hubbard-Heisenberg model on an
anisotropic triangular lattice. We use a renormalized mean field theory to
study the Gutzwiller projected BCS wavefucntions. The half filled electron
system is a Mott insulator at large on-site repulsion , and is a
superconductor at a moderate . The symmetry of the SC state depends on the
anisotropy, and is gapful with symmetry near the
isotropic limit and is gapless with symmetry at small anisotropy

Theory for Gossamer and Resonating Valence Bond Superconductivity
We use an effective Hamiltonian for two-dimensional Hubbard model including
an antiferromagnetic spin-spin coupling term to study recently proposed
gossamer superconductivity. We formulate a renormalized mean field theory to
approximately take into account the strong correlation effect in the partially
projected Gutzwiller wavefucntions. At the half filled, there is a first order
phase transition to separate a Mott insulator at large Coulomb repulsion U from
a gossamer superconductor at small U. Away from the half filled,the Mott
insulator is evolved into an resonating valence bond state, which is
adiabatically connected to the gossamer superconductor.Comment: 10 pages, 13 figure
Towards run-time monitoring of web services conformance to business-level agreements
Web service behaviour is currently specified in a mixture of ways, often using methods that are only partially complete. These range from static functional specifications, based on interfaces in WSDL and preconditions in RIF, to business process simulations using executable process-based models such as BPEL, to detailed quality of service (QoS) agreements laid down in a service level agreement (SLA). This paper recognises that something similar to a SLA is required at the higher business level to govern the contract between service producers, brokers and consumers. We call this a business level agreement (BLA) and within this framework, seek to unify disparate aspects of functional specification, QoS and run-time verification. We propose that the method for validating a web service with respect to its advertised BLA should be based on run-time service monitoring. This is a position paper towards defining these goals
An empirical analysis of the influence of macroeconomic determinants on World tourism demand
This paper considers three econometric models to determine the relationship between macroeconomic variables and tourism demand. Tourism demand is measured by the inbound visitor's population and also by on-the-ground expenditures. Macroeconomic determinants include the exchange rate, the relative domestic prices, and the World GDP per capita.
The database is an unbalanced panel of 218 countries over the period 1995-2012. There is evidence that an increase in the World's GDP per capita, a depreciation of the national currency, and a decline of relative domestic prices do help boosting the number of arrivals
and the correspondent expenditure level. The World's GDP per capita is more relevant when explaining arrivals, but relative prices become more important when we use expenditures as the proxy for tourism demand. In particular, we cannot reject the hypothesis of a relative prices unitary elasticity of expenditures. Additionally, we have also partitioned our data by

Full one-loop QCD and electroweak corrections to sfermion pair production in collisions
We have calculated the full one-loop electroweak (EW) and QCD corrections to
the third generation scalar-fermion pair production processes at an
electron-positron linear collider(LC) in the minimal supersymmetric standard
model (MSSM). We analyze the dependence of the radiative corrections on the
parameters such as the colliding energy and the SUSY
fundamental parameters , , , and so forth. The
numerical results show that the EW corrections to the squark-, stau-pair
production processes and QCD corrections to the squark-pair production
processes give substantial contributions in some parameter space. The EW
relative corrections to squark-pair production processes can be comparable with
QCD corrections at high energies. Therefore, these EW and QCD corrections
cannot be neglected in precise measurement of sfermion pair productions via

Accounting for Unintended Consequences of Resource Policy: Connecting Research that Addresses Displacement of Environmental Impacts
Natural resource policies enacted to protect environmental integrity play an important role in promoting sustainability. However, when resources are shared ecologically, economically, or through a common, global interest, policies implemented to protect resource sustainability in one domain can displace, and in some cases magnify, environmental degradation to other domains. Although such displacement has been recognized as a fundamental challenge to environmental and conservation policy within some resource sectors, there has been little cross‐disciplinary and cross‐sectoral integration to address the problem. This suggests that siloed knowledge may be impeding widespread recognition of the ubiquity of displacement and the need for mitigation. Here, we connect research across multiple disciplines to promote a broader discussion and recognition of the processes and pathways that can lead to displaced impacts that countermand or undermine resource policy and outline a number of approaches that can mitigate displacement
Effects of the R-parity violation in the minimal supersymmetric standard model on dilepton pair production at the CERN LHC
We investigate in detail the effects of the R-parity lepton number violation
in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) on the parent process at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The numerical
comparisons between the contributions of the R-parity violating effects to the
parent process via the Drell-Yan subprocess and the gluon-gluon fusion are
made. We find that the R-violating effects on pair production at the
LHC could be significant. The results show that the cross section of the pair productions via gluon-gluon collision at the LHC can be of the order
of fb, and this subprocess maybe competitive with the production
mechanism via the Drell-Yan subprocess. We give also quantitatively the
analysis of the effects from both the mass of sneutrino and coupling strength

A Novel Multi-Color Feature Selection Method for Person Re-identification
In this paper, a novel multi-color feature selection method is proposed for person re-identification. Firstly, multi-color features, which consisting of HSV, LAB, RGB and nRnG color features, were extracted and concatenated into a whole feature vector. Then the D-optimal Partial Least Squares feature selection method was adopted to select an optimal feature subset that could minimize the variance of the regression model. Finally, an asymmetric distance model for similarity matching was utilized to observe distinctive features from a different perspective. Experimental results show that rank 1 performance of the proposed method were 48.67%, 63.12% and 65.04% respectively on the VIPeR, Prid_450s and CUHK01 databases, which have achieved state-of-art performances
