Pressure induced superconductivity in CaFeAs
CaFeAs has been found to be exceptionally sensitive to the
application of hydrostatic pressure and superconductivity has been found to
exist in a narrow pressure region that appears to be at the interface between
two different phase transitions. The pressure - temperature () phase
diagram of CaFeAs reveals that this stoichiometric, highly ordered,
compound can be easily tuned to reveal all the salient features associated with
FeAs-based superconductivity without introducing any disorder. Whereas at
ambient pressure CaFeAs does not superconduct for K and
manifests a first order structural phase transition near K, the
application of kbar hydrostatic pressure fully suppresses the
resistive signature of the structural phase transition and instead
superconductivity is detected for K. For kbar a different
transition is detected, one associated with a clear reduction in resistivity
and for kbar superconductivity is no longer detected. This higher
pressure transition temperature increases rapidly with increasing pressure,
exceeding 300 K by kbar. The low temperature, superconducting dome
is centered around 5 kbar, extending down to 2.3 kbar and up to 8.6 kbar. This
superconducting phase appears to exist when the low pressure transition is
suppressed sufficiently, but before the high pressure transition has reduced
the resistivity, and possibly the associated fluctuations, too dramatically
Performance analysis of contention based bandwidth request mechanisms in WiMAX networks

In order to support QoS, bandwidth request (BW-REQ) mechanisms are suggested in the WiMAX standard for resource reservation, in which subscriber stations send BW-REQs to a base station which can grant or reject the requests according to the available radio resources. In this paper we propose a new analytical model for the performance analysis of various contention based bandwidth request mechanisms, including grouping and no-grouping schemes, as suggested in the WiMAX standard. Our analytical model covers both unsaturated and saturated traffic load conditions in both error-free and error-prone wireless channels. The accuracy of this model is verified by various simulation results. Our results show that the grouping mechanism outperforms the no-grouping mechanism when the system load is high, but it is not preferable when the system load is light. Super-ASTROD: Probing primordial gravitational waves and mapping the outer solar system
Super-ASTROD (Super Astrodynamical Space Test of Relativity using Optical
Devices or ASTROD III) is a mission concept with 3-5 spacecraft in 5 AU orbits
together with an Earth-Sun L1/L2 spacecraft ranging optically with one another
to probe primordial gravitational-waves with frequencies 0.1 microHz - 1 mHz,
to test fundamental laws of spacetime and to map the outer solar system. In
this paper we address to its scientific goals, orbit and payload selection, and

The effect of the motion of the Sun on the light-time in interplanetary relativistic experiments
In 2002 a measurement of the effect of solar gravity upon the phase of
coherent microwave beams passing near the Sun has been carried out with the
Cassini mission, allowing a very accurate measurement of the PPN parameter
. The data have been analyzed with NASA's Orbit Determination Program
(ODP) in the Barycentric Celestial Reference System, in which the Sun moves
around the centre of mass of the solar system with a velocity of
about 10 m/sec; the question arises, what correction this implies for the
predicted phase shift. After a review of the way the ODP works, we set the
problem in the framework of Lorentz (and Galilean) transformations and evaluate
the correction; it is several orders of magnitude below our experimental
accuracy. We also discuss a recent paper \cite{kopeikin07}, which claims wrong

Pemertahanan Bahasa Bali Aga pada Ranah Keluarga di Desa Belantih, Kintamani, Bali
The objective of this study is to determine the language maintenance occurring in the family domain in Belantih village, Kintamani, Bali. The analysis was limited to the language maintenance in the family domain in the form of speech and lexicons contained in Belantih Village. The data were elaborated on the analysis and presented qualitatively in the form of speech and vocabulary using the theories of the domains of language USAge that proposed by Fishman (1968), the theory of language maintenance and language shifting proposed by Fishman (1972) and to determine the factors that cause the language maintenance that analyzed based on the theory strategy of language maintenance proposed by Holmes (1992). The result of the study showed that family domain is the smallest in the domains of social life, and the domain becomes an important indicator of language maintenance. BBA in the family domain in the Belantih village still USAge until this time at the level of phonological which there is phoneme /a/ in the middle or at the end of the lexicon, and based on the lexical level, there are several lexicons which is the original lexicon of Belantih village. In maintenance the minority language in the middle of majority language takes some strategies such as phonological and lexical factors, the pattern of language use, demographic factors, and attitudes to the minority language, so in this case the society should have a positive attitude and a sense of belonging to the mother tongue or language minorities. This research is expected to contribute to further research related to the maintenance language as a mother tongue and not only in the domain of family but all of the domains in the society
Large magnetic penetration depth and thermal fluctuations in a Ca(PtAs)[(FePt)As] (x=0.097) single crystal
We have measured the temperature dependence of the absolute value of the
magnetic penetration depth in a
Ca(PtAs)[(FePt)As] (x=0.097)
single crystal using a low-temperature magnetic force microscope (MFM). We
obtain (0)1000 nm via extrapolating the data to .
This large and pronounced anisotropy in this system are responsible
for large thermal fluctuations and the presence of a liquid vortex phase in
this low-temperature superconductor with critical temperature of 11 K,
consistent with the interpretation of the electrical transport data. The
superconducting parameters obtained from and coherence length
place this compound in the extreme type \MakeUppercase{\romannumeral 2} regime.
Meissner responses (via MFM) at different locations across the sample are
similar to each other, indicating good homogeneity of the superconducting state
on a sub-micron scale
