    Nyamplung (Callophylum inophyllum L.) and johar (Cassia florida Vahl.) are alternative plants that are resistant to drought. Global warming that occurred in the last few years caused extreme climate change, one of which is drought. The purpose of this research were to examine and determine the growth and development of plants and the response of morphology, physiology, and anatomy of these plants to drought condition, and adaptive species to drought. This research used drought stress treatment for 10 days, 20 days, 30 days, and 40 days, while control plants were watered every 2 days. Each treatment used 3 replications. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, proline levels, plant water content, total dry weight, root dry weight, stomata index, root anatomy, anatomy of stem, and leaf anatomy. Physiological data obtained were analyzed using T-test. The results showed that plants responded to drought stress by decreasing plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, root dry weight, total dry weight, water content of plants, transpiration rate, stomata lindex, root cortex thickness, leaf mesophyll thickness, leaf phloem thickness, other wise occurred increasing level of proline, root epidermis thickness, stem xylem diameter, stem cortical thickness and leaf xylem thickness. Johar plant was more adaptive plant to drought stress than nyamplung plant

    Os esportes de aventura quando tematizados nas aulas de Educação Física têm o potencial de despertar fortes emoções, principalmente pelas experiências de risco e aventura, no contexto escolar, a Base Nacional Comum Curricular-BNCC, existe há necessidade de se trabalhar a educação emocional. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o comportamento socioemocional dos alunos diante de uma intervenção de corrida de orientação. 39 escolares do ensino médio participaram do estudo. Foi aplicado o questionário Big Five Inventory (BFI) após uma intervenção de corrida de orientação para a avaliação do perfil socioemocional. Foi constado que as maiores médias entre os perfis foram: Abertura (34,59), amabilidade (30,44), conscienciosidade (28,23) (tabela 1). A corrida de orientação, se mostra eficaz no desempenho emocional dos escolares pois os perfis de maior as maiores medias foram para os perfis de: Abertura, amabilidade e conscienciosidade. Está intervenção também atende aos requisitos presentes no BNCC sobre o desenvolvimento emocional como também sobre a necessidade de práticas de aventura para a Educação Física.Adventure sports when thematized in Physical Education classes have the potential to arouse strong emotions, mainly through risk and adventure experiences, in the school context, the National Common Curricular Base-BNCC, there is a need to work on emotional education. The orienteering race proves to be effective in the emotional performance of the students because the profiles of the highest the highest averages were for the profiles of: Openness, kindness and conscientiousness. This intervention also meets the requirements present in the BNCC on emotional development as well as on the need for adventure practices for Physical Education.Los deportes de aventura cuando son tematizados en las clases de Educación Física tienen el potencial de despertar emociones fuertes, principalmente a través de experiencias de riesgo y aventura, en el contexto escolar, Base Curricular Común NacionalBNCC, existe la necesidad de trabajar la educación emocional. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el comportamiento socioemocional de los estudiantes ante una intervención de carrera de orientación. 39 estudiantes de secundaria participaron en el estudio. Se aplicó el cuestionario Big Five Inventory (BFI) después de una intervención de carrera de orientación para evaluar el perfil socioemocional. Se encontró que los promedios más altos entre los perfiles fueron: Apertura (34,59), amabilidad (30,44), escrupulosidad (28,23) (Tabla 1). La carrera de orientación demuestra ser efectiva en el desempeño emocional de los estudiantes debido a que los perfiles de los más altos los promedios más altos fueron para los perfiles de: Apertura, amabilidad y escrupulosidad.     Diagnostic accuracy of a clinical diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: An international case-cohort study

    We conducted an international study of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) diagnosis among a large group of physicians and compared their diagnostic performance to a panel of IPF experts. A total of 1141 respiratory physicians and 34 IPF experts participated. Participants evaluated 60 cases of interstitial lung disease (ILD) without interdisciplinary consultation. Diagnostic agreement was measured using the weighted kappa coefficient (\u3baw). Prognostic discrimination between IPF and other ILDs was used to validate diagnostic accuracy for first-choice diagnoses of IPF and were compared using the Cindex. A total of 404 physicians completed the study. Agreement for IPF diagnosis was higher among expert physicians (\u3baw=0.65, IQR 0.53-0.72, p20 years of experience (C-index=0.72, IQR 0.0-0.73, p=0.229) and non-university hospital physicians with more than 20 years of experience, attending weekly MDT meetings (C-index=0.72, IQR 0.70-0.72, p=0.052), did not differ significantly (p=0.229 and p=0.052 respectively) from the expert panel (C-index=0.74 IQR 0.72-0.75). Experienced respiratory physicians at university-based institutions diagnose IPF with similar prognostic accuracy to IPF experts. Regular MDT meeting attendance improves the prognostic accuracy of experienced non-university practitioners to levels achieved by IPF experts

    Gd2Zr2O7 and Nd2Zr2O7 pyrochlore prepared by aqueous chemical synthesis

    Pyrochlore structured Gd2Zr2O7 and Nd2Zr2O7 are produced via complex precipitation processing. A suite of characterization techniques, including FTIR, Raman, X-ray and electron diffraction, TEM, SEM as well as nitrogen sorption are employed to investigate the structural and grain size evolution of the synthesized and calcined powder. Results show that Gd2Zr2O7 with the pyrochlore structure are produced after calcination at 1400 °C for 12 h while Nd2Zr2O7 has already formed the pyrochlore structure at 1200 °C. This method allows the formation of dense materials at relatively low temperature, with bulk densities over 92% of the theoretical values achieved after sintering at 1400 °C for 50 h. This unique aqueous synthetic method provides a simple pathway to produce pyrochlore lanthanide zirconate without using either organic solvent and/or mechanical milling procedures, making the synthesis protocol an attractive potential scale-up production of highly refractory ceramics. © 2013, Elsevier Ltd

    A novel chemical route to prepare La2Zr2O7 pyrochlore

    Lanthanum zirconate has been prepared via a new chemical synthesis method by combining sol–gel processing and complex precipitation. The synthesis was carried out in aqueous solution under ambient conditions. The synthesized powder possessed the pyrochlore superstructure upon calcination above 1200°C. A suite of characterization techniques, including FTIR, Raman, X-ray and electron diffraction, TEM, SEM, and nitrogen sorption were employed to investigate the microstructural evolution and bulk properties. Dense ceramics (>90% relative density) were obtained after sintering at 1400°C, without need for additional processing (i.e., hot or cold isostatic pressing) or any milling steps. A mechanism has been proposed that elucidates molecular assembly of this chemical synthesis method. © 2012, The American Ceramic Society

    New synthesis route for lead zirconate titanate powder

    Phase pure lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powder was produced via a new aqueous coprecipitation method. A suite of characterization techniques, including FTIR, Raman, X-ray diffraction, SEM as well as nitrogen sorption were employed to investigate the structural evolution of the synthesized and calcined powder. The dried precipitate formed in aqueous phase yielded approximately 80 wt% final product after calcination. The PZT perovskite structure was obtained after calcination at 550 °C for 3 h. Milling of the calcined powder reduced the mean particle size from approximately 10 µm to 2 µm. With increasing calcination temperature from 550 °C to 700 °C, both surface area and pore volume decreased while pore size increased from 3.4 nm to 9.8 nm. The bulk density of pelletized samples increased from 4.83 to 7.57 g/cm3 with increasing sintering temperature from 800 °C to 1200 °C. Powder processing using this aqueous route is simple and reproducible leading to a method that is readily scalable for industrial applications. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd
