A new mode of advertising, behavioural advertising, is enjoying considerable success on the Internet. But the advantages for companies and users are weighed against the risks to privacy. A range oflegal norms have been approved to complement self-regulation in arder to protect the consumer and / or user of this new facet of Web 2.0
10 Gigabit White Rabbit: sub-nanosecond timing and data distribution
Time synchronization is a critical feature for many scientific facilities and industrial
infrastructures. The required performance is progressively increasing everyday, for instance, few tens of
nanoseconds for Fifth Generation (5G) networks or sub-nanosecond accuracy on next family of particle
accelerators and astrophysics telescopes. Due to this exigent accuracy, many applications require specific
timing dedicated networks, increasing the system cost and complexity. Under this context, the new IEEE
1588-2019 High Accuracy (HA) default profile is intensively based on White Rabbit (WR) which can
provide sub-nanosecond accurate synchronization for Ethernet networks. However, current WR solutions
have not been designed to work properly with high data bandwidth delivery services even in 1 Gigabit
Ethernet (GbE) links. On this contribution, the authors propose a new architecture design that enables WR
and, consequently, the IEEE 1588-2019 HA profile to be deployed over 10 GbE links solving the already
identified data bandwidth problem. Furthermore, this work addresses different experiments needed to
characterize the system performance in terms of time synchronization and data transfer. As final result, this
contribution presents for the first time in the literature a new WR system which allows high bandwidth data
exchange in 10 GbE networks while providing sub-nanosecond accuracy synchronization. The proposed
solution maintains the time synchronization performance of existing WR 1 GbE devices with significant
advantages in terms of latency and data bandwidth, enabling its deployment in applications that integrate
data and synchronization information in the same network.European Union (EU)

Emissions pollutant from diesel, biodiesel and natural gas refuse collection vehicles in urban areas
Urban pollution is more and more concern due to human health implications. In that way, emissions pollutant from commercial vehicles which move daily at fixed itineraries such as, buses and refuse collection vehicles must be monitored. In this study we have aimed to show the results of the test made on refuse collection vehicles, in real conditions, with regard to their energy consumption and emissions pollutant. A comparative study is carried out with regard to CO, HC, NOx, PM and greenhouse gas emissions, in respect of two types of engine with three different fuels. The fuels analyzed are diesel, biodiesel (B50 and B100) and compressed natural gas (CNG)
Heat Transfer Limitations in Supercritical Water Gasification
Supercritical water gasification (SCWG) is a promising technology for the valorization of
wet biomass with a high-water content, which has attracted increasing interest. Many experimental
studies have been carried out using conventional heating equipment at lab scale, where researchers
try to obtain insight into the process. However, heat transfer from the energy source to the fluid
stream entering the reactor may be ineffective, so slow heating occurs that produces a series of
undesirable reactions, especially char formation and tar formation. This paper reviews the limitations
due to different factors affecting heat transfer, such as low Reynolds numbers or laminar flow regimes,
unknown real fluid temperature as this is usually measured on the tubing surface, the strong change
in physical properties of water from subcritical to supercritical that boosts a deterioration in heat
transfer, and the insufficient mixing, among others. In addition, some troubleshooting and new
perspectives in the design of efficient and effective devices are described and proposed to enhance
heat transfer, which is an essential aspect in the experimental studies of SCWG to move it forward to
a larger scale.Consejeria de Economia y Conocimiento (Junta de Andalucia) P18-RT-252
Colour morph does not predict brood size in the Booted Eagle.
Mechanisms regulating colour polymorphism remain largely unknown and detailed investigation is required to explore the biological consequences on population dynamics. This paper presents the first study of the possible connection between colour polymorphism and productivity in a Booted Eagle (Aquila pennata) population breeding in southeastern Spain. To that end we used 19 years of data of non-marked individuals. A total of 738 pale (91.6%) and 68 dark (8.4%) adult Booted Eagles were observed in our study area, including 57 territories. Our results suggest that colour morph of both sexes remained stable in the population over the study period. Although we found a higher number of offspring produced by parents exhibiting the dark morph than those of the pale morph, statistical differences were not significant. Hence, our models showed that colour polymorphism was not a good predictor of Booted Eagles'productivity, although further research by capture-recapture analysis would be needed to explore the influence of colour variation on fitness components at individual level and its consequences at population level of long-lived species
