Given the importance of this crop, it is necessary to have a tool for proper nutritional diagnosis. So, the present study sought to determine the DRIS (Integrated Diagnostic and Recommendation System) standards for the cultivation of pineapple, that is, a methodology for the interpretation of foliar analyzes, based mainly on the establishment of reference populations for obtaining norms or ideal relationships of nutrients, which serve for the interpretation of the nutritional content of a certain species. A randomized complete block design was used, with six treatments and four repetitions, based on different fertilization plans, sampling four stages of the crop. A soil with a pH of 3 was used. The results showed deficiencies of B, S and Zn; elements such as Cu and Na showed limitations as a result of excesses, followed by Fe, but only for the first stage, while P was one of the mineral elements that presented a good balance during the entire stage of the crop. The decreasing order of deficiency constraints for the leaf tissue concentrations in the pineapple was divided into four stages of crop development: the first stage 3 months after sowing: Mn>B>S>Ca>K>Mg>Cu>N>P>Zn>Na>Fe, the second stage 6 months after sowing: Zn>B>-Na>Ca>Mn>Mg>K>N>P>S>Cu, the third stage 9 months after sowing: B>Zn>S> Mn>Ca>N>K>P>Mg> Na>Cu, and the last stage 12 months after sowing: B>Zn>Mn>Ca>Mg>N> K>S>Na>P>Cu.Bibliografía y webgrafía: páginas 327-32

The daily activities that man carries out cause the increase of greenhouse gases (GHG), which are naturally found in the atmosphere, but by increasing their concentration, their residence time provides a greater potential for global warming, since its concentrations in the past were lower than the current ones. The Universal Morphology (UniMorph) project is a collaborative effort providing broad-coverage instantiated normalized morphological inflection tables for hundreds of diverse world languages. The project comprises two major thrusts: a language-independent feature schema for rich morphological annotation and a type-level resource of annotated data in diverse languages realizing that schema. This paper presents the expansions and improvements made on several fronts over the last couple of years (since McCarthy et al. (2020)). Collaborative efforts by numerous linguists have added 67 new languages, including 30 endangered languages. We have implemented several improvements to the extraction pipeline to tackle some issues, e.g. missing gender and macron information. We have also amended the schema to use a hierarchical structure that is needed for morphological phenomena like multiple-argument agreement and case stacking, while adding some missing morphological features to make the schema more inclusive. In light of the last UniMorph release, we also augmented the database with morpheme segmentation for 16 languages. Lastly, this new release makes a push towards inclusion of derivational morphology in UniMorph by enriching the data and annotation schema with instances representing derivational processes from MorphyNet

The James Webb Space Telescope Mission

Twenty-six years ago a small committee report, building on earlier studies, expounded a compelling and poetic vision for the future of astronomy, calling for an infrared-optimized space telescope with an aperture of at least 4m4m. With the support of their governments in the US, Europe, and Canada, 20,000 people realized that vision as the 6.5m6.5m James Webb Space Telescope. A generation of astronomers will celebrate their accomplishments for the life of the mission, potentially as long as 20 years, and beyond. This report and the scientific discoveries that follow are extended thank-you notes to the 20,000 team members. The telescope is working perfectly, with much better image quality than expected. In this and accompanying papers, we give a brief history, describe the observatory, outline its objectives and current observing program, and discuss the inventions and people who made it possible. We cite detailed reports on the design and the measured performance on orbit.Comment: Accepted by PASP for the special issue on The James Webb Space Telescope Overview, 29 pages, 4 figure

    Get PDF
El efecto de la nutrición en la calidad se ve influenciado fuertemente tanto por las dosis bajas y altas de N, K como de elementos menores, mientras que el P no presenta características marcadas.//Abstract: The pineapple is one of the tropical fruits produced and consumed worldwide, in Colombia is among the main horticultural production lines with more or less 800 thousand Ton, production distributed in different departments of the country being Santander, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Target the largest producers. Pineapple cultivation requires large amounts of fertilizers and like any crop the nutrient withdrawals are conditioned by different variables that must be taken into account when establishing a production system, generally in our country farmers base their fertilization plans On the recommendation of other countries or by their own customs, which means that the highest yields and the highest production are not obtained from the crop. An important alternative to improve crop productivity is to determine the nutritional requirements in the environmental conditions where they are established, to perform growth analyzes, to analyze foliar, among others to determine the needs of the plant. The objective of this research was to determine the need for nutrients of the pineapple variety MD-2 in different phenological epochs and its effect on yield and quality in conditions of the Municipality of Santander de Quilichao. Six treatments and four replicates were evaluated in complete blocks Random, the treatments consisted in the variation of sources of N, P, K, T0 (Witness), T1 (Model farm), T2 (Frupasa), T3 (Unal1), T4 (Unal2), T5 (Unal3), on the Level of natural soil fertility. For each of the treatments, 4 foliar analyzes were carried out at different stages of the crop, nutrient analysis on fruit, growth analysis for growth curves, accumulation of dry and fresh matter and growth indexes, efficient use of nutrients And the effect of treatments on productivity and quality. The results showed that the crop absorbs large amounts of N and P the first stages and decreasing until the floral induction the opposite behavior of the K that absorbed low quantities in the first months and was increasing over time. The behavior of the treatments in terms of nutrient distribution and absorption was similar, with T2 and T5 being the ones with the highest absorption values in the same way was the behavior in the growth analysis, on the contrary, T3 was the highest values Of nutrient use presented, in terms of productivity T2 and T5 presented the highest values. The effect of nutrition on quality is strongly influenced by both the low and high doses of N, K and minor elements, while the P does not show marked characteristics.Maestrí
