The present research work explains the influence of tourism activities, as an educational
alternative, about the learning of regional cultural historical content. Currently there is a
marked lack of interest in students to learn cultural historical content, faced with this
situation, tourism activities promote meaningful learning in students, since it allows them to
have a direct approach with what they are studying and thus have greater willingness and
interest in the contents that before seemed to them to be tedious, contributing to the
generation of new knowledge; In addition the tourist activities promoting cultural identity,
fundamental to the formation of every citizen, as well as the care and preservation of the
environment.
Therefore, it is feasible to affirm the tourist activities to strengthen and adequately
complement the meaningful learning of regional cultural historical content. This research
was a pilot study with a representative sample of 28 students in the fifth grade of the
results that demonstrate the positive influence of the tourist activities as suitable for the
process teaching and learning, to be significant for students, applicable to today's education.Tesi

In vitro regeneration of Pinus brutia Ten. var. eldarica (Medw.) through organogenesis
This paper describes two in vitro regeneration systems through direct and indirect organogenesis in Pinus brutia using fascicles aseptic cultures as explants. Mechanical scarification and gibberellic acid (GA3) were evaluated on in vitro seed germination. Scarification was the treatment that allowed for in vitro seed germination. The highest direct organogenic response was obtained in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing 4.5 µM thidiazuron, whereas the highest indirect organogenesis was obtained with 9.8 µM thidiazuron and 3.4 µM paclobutrazol. The isolated shoots were rooted on MS medium supplemented with 1.70 µM indoleacetic acid. A large variation in root ability was observed among plantlets. These results suggest that both regeneration systems can be applied to the micropropagation or genetic transformation of P. brutia.Key words: Pinus brutia, organogenesis, fascicles, paclobutrazol, thidiazuron
Relationship of Weather Types on the Seasonal and Spatial Variability of Rainfall, Runoff, and Sediment Yield in the Western Mediterranean Basin
Rainfall is the key factor to understand soil erosion processes, mechanisms, and rates. Most research was conducted to determine rainfall characteristics and their relationship with soil erosion (erosivity) but there is little information about how atmospheric patterns control soil losses, and this is important to enable sustainable environmental planning and risk prevention. We investigated the temporal and spatial variability of the relationships of rainfall, runoff, and sediment yield with atmospheric patterns (weather types, WTs) in the western Mediterranean basin. For this purpose, we analyzed a large database of rainfall events collected between 1985 and 2015 in 46 experimental plots and catchments with the aim to: (i) evaluate seasonal differences in the contribution of rainfall, runoff, and sediment yield produced by the WTs; and (ii) to analyze the seasonal efficiency of the different WTs (relation frequency and magnitude) related to rainfall, runoff, and sediment yield. The results indicate two different temporal patterns: the first weather type exhibits (during the cold period: autumn and winter) westerly flows that produce the highest rainfall, runoff, and sediment yield values throughout the territory; the second weather type exhibits easterly flows that predominate during the warm period (spring and summer) and it is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula. However, the cyclonic situations present high frequency throughout the whole year with a large influence extended around the western Mediterranean basin. Contrary, the anticyclonic situations, despite of its high frequency, do not contribute significantly to the total rainfall, runoff, and sediment (showing the lowest efficiency) because of atmospheric stability that currently characterize this atmospheric pattern. Our approach helps to better understand the relationship of WTs on the seasonal and spatial variability of rainfall, runoff and sediment yield with a regional scale based on the large dataset and number of soil erosion experimental stations
Gestión del conocimiento. Perspectiva multidisciplinaria. Volumen 8
