    Gula pasir adalah komoditi penting di Indonesia karena banyaknya pangan olahan yang menggunakan gula sebagai bahan pembuatannya. Gula pasir yang umum beredar yaitu gula pasir curah dan gula pasir bermerk terafinasi. Gula bermerk berasal dari olahan pabrik yang memiliki warna lebih putih dibandingkan dengan gula pasir curah.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan perbandingan ekuivalensi kemanisan antara gula curah, gula rafinasi bermerk, dan pemanis buatan aspartam.  Analisis ekuivalensi tingkat kemanisan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif magnitude estimation. Analisis deskriptif merupakan analisis sensori untuk mendapatkan deskripsi sensori produk pangan. Metode ini merupakan metode kuantitatif subjektif langsung dengan menggunakan reference dalam pengujiannya Hasil ekuivalensi kemanisan pada gula bermerk dan gula curah memberikan hasil bahwa kadar kemanisan gula bermerk lebih baik dari gula curah. Kadar kemanisan gula bermerk 1,04 kali , gula curah 1,02 kali, aspartam 31 kali dari sukrosa 9%

    The purpose of this study was to describe the shape of the role played by the Public Relations of Bali Dynasty Resort in maintaining the image of Bali Dynasty Resort. Choosing Bali as a tourist destination worldwide daily visited by many tourists at home and abroad. In her choose Bali Dynasty Resort for a Resort that was established a long time and the only the concept "family resort" in the Kuta area, certainly a lot of competition and a heavy burden to maintain its image. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study method. The subjects were Public Relation Bali Dynasty Resort and interested parties therein (Director of Sales and General Manager). While his research object is role in maintaining the image of Bali Dynasty Resort, informants were selected purposively. Data were collected through literature based on the theory, documentation, observation and in-depth interviews with open-ended type. The results showed that the Public Relation Bali Dynasty Resort running all four categories of roles based on the concept Dozier & Broom, namely as an expert adviser (Expert prescriber), facilitator of communication (communication facilitator), facilitator of the process of problem solving (problem solving process facilitator) and a communications technician (communication technician). According to General Manager and Director of Sales feedback received also a lot that is positive and produced many benefits to Bali Dynasty Resort

    Career advancement comparative perspective study of university lecturer

    Globalization and international standard universities trend drive the higher education system to become more dynamic and innovative. The lecturer is a profession that drives and encourages university competitiveness. Therefore, better career advancement and development are vital in encouraging higher education competitiveness. The United States of America (USA) is currently a world-class university orientation, followed by Australia. Hence, other countries, especially developing countries, should know the USA and Australia higher education system, especially in the lecturers’ career advancement and development. This study is necessary to answer research questions about comparing academic career advancement systems in the USA and Australia. This study will give other countries new insight into academic career advancement. The researchers apply the findings from a systematic review. This study focuses on six aspects discussed: regulations, educational qualifications, lecturer obligation status in the higher education, career ladder, career advancement stages, and the lecturers' duties also responsibilities in lecturer career advancement in the USA and Australia. This study examines the gap between lecturers' career advancement systems in the USA and Australia comprehensively. The researchers observe by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the lecturer career advancement system in the USA and Australia. Also, the researchers compare the results using comparative public administration theory

    Diversity of Functional Soil Microbes in Manures and Its Effect on Organic Mustard Green (Brassica juncea) Production

    The application of organic fertilizer, especially manures, for crop production has long-term effects for soil nutrients availability and improvement of soil structure. The improvement of soil properties involves interactions of various types of microorganism in the soil. The research aimed to study the effects of different types of manures on the diversity of functional soil microbes and its effects on organic green mustard production. The experiment was conducted at IPB organic research field, Cikarawang, Darmaga, Bogor, from April to June 2015. The experiment used a randomized complete block design with two factors; the first factor was types of manure, i.e. chicken, cow, and goat manures; the second factor was manure rates, i.e. 0 and 10 ton.ha-1, so there were six treatments in total, replicated three times. The results showed that chicken manure application resulted in a higher mustard green yield and soil-P content than application of goat manure. The addition 10 ton.ha-1 of manures increased C-organic, N, K, and C/N ratio in soil significantly, but mustard green production was not affected. The diversity of microbe population of the soil treated with all types of manures was high. The addition 10 ton.ha-1 of manures decreased the total number of microbes, but increased the number of cellulose-degrading microbes. The population of cellulose-degrading and phosphate-solubilizing microbes in the soil applied with cow manure was higher than those applied with the other manures

    The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education has announced the results of ranking universities in Indonesia. Universitas Brawijaya has experienced ups and downs in ranking. During the period of 2015-2019, the best ranking of Universitas Brawijaya in the fifth recruitment in 2016. This study aims to formulate a series of optimization strategies for improving UB's rank. Research approach with qualitative methods and the literature review technique and focusing on several approaches to formulate strategy, which are Balanced Scorecard, SWOT, and SPACE. Retrieval of data with the method of observation and documentation. While data validation with Triangulation. The results of this study explained that the Balanced Scorecard, SWOT, and SPACE could be used to solve strategy formulation problems. There are eleven strategic steps to optimize and improve Universitas Brawijaya's ranking by following the indicators set by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education

    Pengurangan Dosis Pupuk pada Produksi Sawi Hijau Organik dengan Pergiliran Tanaman Jagung dan Kedelai

    The application of organic fertilizer and crop rotation are combination of cultivation system integrally to preserve land fertility. This study aimed to determine the effect of crop residues produced in the first season to reduce organic fertilizer rate for mustard greens cultivation in the second season. The experiment was conducted at IPB organic farm, Cikarawang, Darmaga in April until June 2015. The first season was the first experiment conducted separately for soybean and corn to study different manure types for both crops which the rate of each manure was 20 ton ha-1 for soybean and 25 ton ha-1 for corn. Soybean and corn residues were used in the following season on mustard green cultivation. The experimental design was split plot design with crop residues as main plot, and combination of manure types (chicken, cow, goat) and rates (0, 10 ton ha-1) as sub plot. Data were analyzed using variance. Means were statistically compared with Tukey test at α < 0.05 level. The results showed that the soybean and corn residues can be used as nutrient sources for mustard greens cultivation. The application of manure was not necessary for mustard greens cultivation if soybean or corn residues were added in the second season and there was residues from manure in the first season

    KARAKTERISASI DAN INDEKS GLIKEMIK BERAS ANALOG BERBAHAN DASAR TEPUNG JAGUNG

    The aim of this study was to obtain the most optimum rice analogue formulation made from corn, sago, soybean, and rice brans. DX7 Mixture Design program was used to achieve the purpose. Antioxidant and lightness were used as the analysis response. The rice was then characterized for physical and chemical properties, antioxidant activity, and glycemic index. The most optimum rice analogue formulation based on the value of antioxidant and brightness parameters consisted of 32.17% corn flour, 16.67% sagoo flour, 13.3% soybean flour, rice brans 3.16%, and 1.33% GMS (the water added was 50% of the amount of the dough). The formulation showed that the rice analogue was potential to be developed into a functional food that supplies fiber 13.30% (> 6.00%), had low glycemic index (54±18) with 28.02%. amylose , contained bioactive components that acts as antioxidants, such as α-tocopherols 1.00% and ϒ-oryzanol, 48.70%.Keywords: antioxidant, glicemic index, oryzanol, rice analog, tocopherol

    IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATIVE ASSESSMENT IN PHYSICS EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM UPH DURING ONLINE LEARNING

     Assessment is the collection of information about student learning outcomes. Educative assessment should enable students to respond as images of God and challenge them to grow and learn more. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of educative assessment in the Physics Education Study Program during the 2020/2021 academic year at the University of Pelita Harapan. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods. The Implementation of educative assessments were carried out through interdisciplinary assessment in some courses, mid-term and final-term personal reflections in all physics courses, vlogs in material physics courses as mid-term assessments, and used Moodle for review and weekly quizzes. Based on students’ feedback, it was known that the interdisciplinary assessment makes students understand the learning material deeper, more comprehensively, and integrated. The interdisciplinary assessment also makes the task load less overwhelming, especially during online learning. Vlogs as a mid-term assessment open space for students to be more creative and expressive to share knowledge in public, stimulate students' curiosity about learning material, and make students grow in their skills to find, summarize, and publish information digitally. At the end of the term, all of the students’ learning outcomes resulted in good and excellent grades. Bahasa Indonesia AbstrakPenilaian adalah pengumpulan informasi tentang hasil belajar siswa. Penilaian Edukatif memampukan siswa untuk merespon sebagai gambar Tuhan dan menantang mereka untuk tumbuh dan belajar lebih giat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengimplementasian penilaian edukatif pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika selama tahun ajaran 2020/2021 di Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penilaian edukatif dilakukan melalui penilaian interdisipliner pada beberapa mata kuliah, pembuatan refleksi pribadi pada tengah dan akhir semester pada semua mata kuliah fisika, Pembuatan vlog pada mata kuliah fisika material sebagai penilaian tengah semester, dan penggunaan moodle untuk review dan kuis mingguan. Berdasarkan umpan balik mahasiswa, diketahui bahwa penilaian interdisipliner membuat mereka memahami materi pembelajaran lebih dalam, lebih komprehensif dan terintegrasi. Penilaian interdisipliner juga membuat beban tugas tidak terlalu berat, terutama selama pembelajaran online. Pembuatan vlog sebagai penilaian tengah semester membuka ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk lebih kreatif dan ekspresif untuk berbagi ilmu di depan umum, merangsang rasa ingin tahu terhadap materi pembelajaran, dan menumbuhkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menemukan, merangkum, dan mempublikasikan informasi secara digital.     Agronomy Character and Sinensetin Content of Several Java’s Tea Plant Accession (Orthosiphon stamineus)

    Tanaman kumis kucing berkhasiat untuk mengobati penyakit diabetes. Sinensetin merupakan senyawa kimia pada kumis kucing yang berperan sebagai obat diabetes. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mempelajari keragaman karakter agronomi dan kandungan sinensetin tanaman kumis kucing hasil koleksi ex situ dari daerah Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Tanaman kumis kucing dipanen saat populasi berbunga sekitar 70% dan diuji kandungan sinensetin pada daunnya. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan perlakuan 18 aksesi dan satu pembanding (koleksi ungu). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada akumulasi pertambahan tinggi selama 8 MST, jumlah cabang sekunder dan ruas cabang sekunder; panjang, lebar dan indeks luas daun; rata-rata bobot kering batang dan daun per 4.41 m2 serta kadar sinensetin antar aksesi yang diuji. Aksesi Banyumas 1, Sumbersari dan Kraksaan memiliki karakter agronomi dan produksi yang lebih baik daripada kontrol kecuali kadar sinensetinnya. Kadar sinensetin daun berdasarkan kategori bobot kering daun mengalami peningkatan dari kategori rendah ke menengah namun menurun pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan perbandingan antar aksesi maupun kategori bobot kering daun, kontrol memiliki kadar sinensetin (0.043%) yang lebih baik, namun hanya mencapai 43% dari standar minimum kandungan kimia simplisia (kadar sinensetin) yang ditetapkan oleh Farmakope Herbal Indonesia. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada produksi sinensetin aksesi yang diuji baik berdasarkan perbandingan aksesi maupun kategori aksesi. Sinensetin is a chemical compound in Java’s tea that acts as diabetes medicine. The experiment objective was to study diversity of agronomy characters and sinensetin content of ex situ collections of Java’s tea from West, Central, and East Java regions. Java’s tea was harvested when population has flowering about 70% and tested sinensetin content on leaf part. The experiment was conducted with a completely randomized block design with 18 accessions and one control (purple flower accession). The result of study showed that there were significant differences in the accumulation of height plant increase while 8 weeks after planting, secondary branches and secondary branches internode number; leaf length, width and area index; average stems and leaf dry weight per 4.41 m2 and sinensetin levels among some accessions. Banyumas 1, Sumbersari and Kraksaan accessions have agronomy and production characters except for sinensetin levels were better than control (Leaf sinensetin levels based on leaf dry weight increased from low to medium but decreased in high category) Based on comparison between accession and leaf dry weight category, purple flower accession has higher sinensetin levels (0.043%) than another accession, but only reaches 43% of Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia minimum standard (There were no significant differences in sinensetin accession production tested either by comparison of accession or accession categories).
