Olvios, Rethis and Inachos Rivers are multistory drainage systems that occur in Northern Peloponnesus, and at the present day they have and a reversed, North to South, flow element. Dervenios, Skoupeikos and Fonissa Rivers are the misfit streams of Olvios and revealed as juvenile streams and discharge to the Corinth gulf. Agiorgitikos River is the misfit stream of Rethis River and Seliandros River is the juvenile stream. Asopos, Nemeas and Rachiani Rives are the misfit streams of Inachos River and they also discharge to the Corinth gulf. Asopos River characterized as re-established stream. Physical factors such as tectonic regime (active and inactive faults), lithology, erosion and distance from the source influenced the three drainage systems evolution and could be influence them also in the future. The increase of human activities both in their southern parts and in the distal parts close to the coast could be change the physical evolution of the studied drainages, producing a new wind gap in the coastal area and a lake or a lagoon backwards of the coastal area, destroying villages and towns

International audienceThis paper considers Multi-Carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) communication systems. Recently, the asymptotic performance of a multiuser MMSE receiver for a MC-CDMA system has been established, assuming orthogonal spreading codes and equal powers. A similar study has also been conducted for a DS-CDMA system, considering in this ease unequal powers. The introduction of orthogonal codes can he considered as a breakthrough for the asymptotic analysis of such systems, and requires an intensive use of the free probability theory. Based on these results, we investigate in this paper the asymptotic performance of the multiuser MMSE receiver for a MC-CDMA downlink transmission, with orthogonal codes. The asymptotic value of the Signal to Interference plus Noise ratio (SINR) is derived, as a function of the channel loading, the noise power and the power distribution (p). Simulations show that the asymptoticSINRisappd&Z realistic systems

Objective: The purpose of this study is to observe non-specific thoracic spinal pain and wellbeing in patients before and after Chiropractic intervention in a student setting. Design and Setting: A prospective practice-based observational study of patients receiving Chiropractic treatment for non-specific thoracic spinal pain (NS-TSP) presenting to RMIT students in teaching clinics. Clinical Features: 23 patients were treated within a multi-modal therapy framework. Methods: Outcome measures: Short form RAND-36 and Short form McGill Pain Questionnaire were administered on the initial consultation before treatment and again after the sixth treatment. Results: The short form McGill (Total, VAS, PPI) and the physical component summary of the Short form Rand-36 revealed a statistical significance post treatment (p<0.05). No significant difference could be detected on the Mental component summary of RAND-36 (p=0.08). Conclusion: It would appear that there is statistical improvement of pain and physical health status of wellbeing following a multimodal treatment approach by senior Chiropractic students. No significant change was recorded in the mental component summary of RAND-36. Further investigation of NS-TSP is warranted due to the lack of research currently available

Canine leishmaniosis (CanL) is a systemic zoonotic disease the clinical manifestations of which can range from self-healing cutaneous lesions to disseminated visceral disease. Effective activation of cellular immunity is the cornerstone of resistance against Leishmania infantum in infected dogs. The aim of this cross-sectional, controlled study was the intracellular detection of interleukin 4 (IL-4) and interferon- (IFN-) in CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of 40 dogs naturally infected with L. infantum by applying flow cytometry. The percentage of CD4+IL-4+ and CD8+IL-4+ lymphocytes (with or without immunostimulation) was low in the clinically healthy and subclinically infected dogs in contrast to clinically affected ones. In the same groups of dogs, the percentage of CD4+IFN-+ and CD8+IFN-+ T cells in their resting phase and following specific immunostimulation with Leishmania soluble antigen (LSA) was also low. CD4+IL-4+ and CD8+IL-4+ T cell percentage was higher in sick compared to clinically healthy and subclinically infected dogs, after immunostimulation. The corresponding figure of CD8+IL-4+ cells in sick dogs after LSA immunostimulation was also increased thus underlining the important role these cells may play in humoral immunity and perhaps the progression of CanL

6G: The next frontier: From holographic messaging to artificial intelligence using subterahertz and visible light communication

With its ability to provide a single platform enabling a variety of services, such as enhanced mobile broadband communications, virtual reality, automated driving, and the Internet of Things, 5G represents a breakthrough in the design of communication networks. Nevertheless, considering the increasing requests for new services and predicting the development of new technologies within a decade, it is already possible to envision the need to move beyond 5G and design a new architecture incorporating innovative technologies to satisfy new needs at both the individual and societal levels. The goal of this article is to motivate researchers to move to a sixth generation (6G) of mobile communication networks, starting from a gap analysis of 5G and predicting a new synthesis of near-future services like holographic communications, high-precision manufacturing, a pervasive introduction of artificial intelligence (AI), and the integration of new technologies, such as subterahertz or visible light communication (VLC), in a truly 3D coverage scenario. Such a framework will incorporate terrestrial and aerial radio access points to bring cloud functionalities where and when needed on demand
