Rational Choice of Machining Tools Using Prediction Procedures

    Get PDF
Introducing the methods and procedures for predictive analysis into the design process contours of a variety of machining tools (MT) of metal cutting machines is the main aim of this article. A sequence of realization of prediction object (PO) choice as an initial stage of search of perspective designs is offered. Effective in this regard is the "Tree of objectives" apparatus, on the basis of which many ways of improving MT are formed, selecting progressive (reducing the dimension of the problem) at each level of the hierarchy of the constructed graph-tree. The procedure for selecting the prediction method (PM) as a means of generating the forecast data is developed. The task of choosing a method is structured in detail and uses "Information supply"as the main criterion. To this end, assessment scales of choice criteria have been formed, on the basis of which it is possible to evaluate their effectiveness for the PM selection process. The rules forPOcoding are introduced by a three-element information code, including information source classes – static data, expert estimates and patent data. The process of forecasting the MT components by the method of engineering forecasting on the basis of a representative patent fund is realized. The General Definition Table has been built (GDT "Machining tools") and estimates of the prospects of design solutions have been obtained. A fragment of the database of 3D models of promising MT designs in the integrated computer-aided design KOMPAS-3D is proposed

A 75-year-old woman with a medical history of gastroesophageal reflux disease and type II diabetes presented to the hospital with a 3-month history of gradually worsening headaches, vague upper abdominal pain, and lower back pain. The patient denied fevers, night sweats, contact with sick individuals, occupational exposure to infection, bleeding, immunodeficiency, intravenous drug use, alcohol or tobacco abuse, history of malignancy, family history of genetic disorders, and international travel. Physical examination revealed a skin-colored mass protruding from the right side of her forehead, but there were no other notable abnormalities. Her diabetes was managed with diet, and the only prescription medication she was taking was esomeprazole. She was not taking anticoagulants. Initial laboratory work-up revealed anemia and profound thrombocytopenia (hemoglobin level, 9.4 g/dL; platelet count, 16 × 109/L); these were refractory to aggressive treatment, including plasmapheresis, immunosuppression with prednisolone, and numerous transfusions. Contrast material–enhanced magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the head was performed at admission to further evaluate the patient’s headache and the mass on the patient’s forehead. Ultrasonography (US) of the abdomen was performed to evaluate the cause of abdominal pain. The discovery of liver lesions at US led us to perform contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Contrast-enhanced MR imaging of the abdomen was performed to narrow the diagnostic considerations for the lesions identified at CT. Bone marrow biopsy revealed no evidence of infectious or neoplastic processes. Endoscopy and colonoscopy were performed; however, they revealed no abnormalities. Further laboratory work-up included extensive testing for parasites, fungi, bacteria, and viruses, including the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). All of the results were negative. On the 17th day of admission, the patient became acutely unresponsive, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she died. Unenhanced head CT was performed at the time of the patient’s acute decompensation

The conceptual basics of social capital identification according to its hierarchical levels are analysed. It is determined, that the main components of social capital are structural, relational and cognitive capital. Based on the understanding of social capital in complex of specific forms (networks, relationships and relationships; trust; civic activity; norms and values), an approach to the identification of itscomponents on different hierarchical levels of economic relations is developed. According to each of the components indicators of social capital evaluation at the enterprise level are proposed. It is grounded, that the most suitable for measuring social capital are esteems picked in the sociological monitoring.

Breastfeeding experience differentially impacts recognition of happiness and anger in mothers

Breastfeeding is a dynamic biological and social process based on hormonal regulation involving oxytocin. While there is much work on the role of breastfeeding in infant development and on the role of oxytocin in socio-emotional functioning in adults, little is known about how breastfeeding impacts emotion perception during motherhood. We therefore examined whether breastfeeding influences emotion recognition in mothers. Using a dynamic emotion recognition task, we found that longer durations of exclusive breastfeeding were associated with faster recognition of happiness, providing evidence for a facilitation of processing positive facial expressions. In addition, we found that greater amounts of breastfed meals per day were associated with slower recognition of anger. Our findings are in line with current views of oxytocin function and support accounts that view maternal behaviour as tuned to prosocial responsiveness, by showing that vital elements of maternal care can facilitate the rapid responding to affiliative stimuli by reducing importance of threatening stimuli

Ditto: Towards Decentralised Similarity Search for Web3 Services

    Get PDF
The Web has become an integral part of life, and over the past decade, it has become increasingly centralised, leading to a number of challenges such as censorship and control, particularly in search engines. Recently, the paradigm of the decentralised Web (DWeb), or Web3, has emerged, which aims to provide decentralised alternatives to current systems with decentralised control, transparency, and openness. In this paper we introduce Ditto, a decentralised search mechanism for DWeb content, based on similarity search. Ditto uses locality sensitive hashing (LSH) to extract similarity signatures and records from content, which are stored on a decentralised index on top of a distributed hash table (DHT). Ditto uniquely supports numerous underlying content networks and types, and supports various use-cases, including keyword-search. Our evaluation shows that our system is feasible and that our search quality, delay, and overhead are comparable to those currently accepted by users of DWeb and search systems

The assessment of impact of social capital on competitiveness of enterprises is considered in the article. The level of Ukrainian society’s social capital is already quite high, and the dynamics show a trend of steady growth in the last three years.Presented results of the assessment of social capital components are based on a sociological survey of enterprises’ owners and managerial staff. The development level of social capital components of is not high enough. In particular, the best of them do not exceed the level of 72%.The most significant problems are in the self-assessment of respondents' efforts to maintain ties with the local community (within the structural social capital), taking into account the needs of employees in personnel management processes (as part of relational social capital), as well as the perception of corporate values and efforts to development of the corporate culture of enterprise - within the cognitive social capital.Proposed key tasks of solving the problems of social capital development are based on the conducted sociological research on the assessment of social capital of enterprises. Solving the problems of social capital development involves introducing of tools that promote the formation of a team with a high level of competence, creating a favorable environment in the enterprise, conducting a comprehensive analysis, accelerating business processes, developing relationships with customers, suppliers and partners through favorable conditions.
