Freakstars?!

Der deutsche Regisseur Christoph Schlingensief baut seit Beginn seiner Karriere Figuren in seine Filme sowie Theater-, Opern- und Kunstprojekte ein, die eine körperliche Beeinträchtigung und/oder eine Lernschwäche aufzuweisen scheinen. Diese werden sowohl von DarstellerInnen mit als auch ohne Beeinträchtigung dargestellt. Besonders deutlich tritt seine Zusammenarbeit im Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung in dem Projekt Freakstars 3OOO hervor, in dem ein Großteil der Mitwirkenden eine Beeinträchtigung aufweist. Die Rahmenhandlung des 2003 veröffentlichten Films zeigt den Verlauf einer Castingshow namens FREAKSTARS 3OOO in der, getreu dem Muster anderer Castingshows, die TeilnehmerInnen der Band „Mutter sucht Schrauben“ ausgewählt werden. Die ZuschauerInnen verfolgen den Verlauf des Castings und die Höhenflüge und Sorgen der TeilnehmerInnen. Zusätzlich wird eine Reihe weiterer Sendeformate gezeigt mit Titeln wie Freakmann, Homeshopping, Wie funktioniert eigentlich?, In \& Out, Das Hitparade und Presseclub 3OOO. Alle DarstellerInnen des Castings sowie der anderen Sendeformate weisen eine körperliche Beeinträchtigung und/oder eine Lernschwäche auf. Filme mit größtenteils körperlich und/oder geistig beeinträchtigten Menschen sind in der heutigen Film und Fernsehlandschaft eine Seltenheit. Hier fungiert die Medienwelt als Abbild der Gesellschaft, denn auch wenn Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung heute in Österreich und vielen Teilen Europas in ein gutes Betreuungssystem eingebunden sind, sind sie selten in Positionen anzutreffen, die ihnen ein gesellschaftliches Mitbestimmen ermöglichen. Beeinträchtigte Personen bilden immer noch eine Randgruppe in unserer Gesellschaft der ein vorwiegend passiver Part in derselben zugewiesen wird. Die Seltenheit von beeinträchtigten DarstellerInnen in der internationalen Bühnen- und Medienlandschaft macht die Arbeit mit denselben per se zu einem politischen Akt. Es wird damit auch immer der Diskurs zum Thema Integration angesprochen und die Frage gestellt, wie eine Gesellschaft mit Menschen mit besonderen Bedürfnissen umgeht. Ich untersuche in meiner Arbeit Christoph Schlingensiefs Film FREAKSTARS 3OOO auf seine Relevanz in Hinblick auf das Thema der Integration von Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung. Nach einer Einführung in die Themenbereiche körperliche Beeinträchtigung und Lernschwäche sowie der Integration von Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung gehe ich auf Christoph Schlingensiefs Arbeit mit beeinträchtigen Menschen sowie die Methoden, mit denen er dieselben in FREAKSTARS 3OOO einsetzt ein. Hierzu erörtere ich einerseits den Inhalt und die ausgestellte Arbeitsweise, und untersuche andererseits mit den Methoden der Filmanalyse die filmische Arbeitsweise Schlingensiefs in Hinblick auf das Integrationsthema. Hierzu wurde auch ein Filmprotokoll mit Filmstills angelegt

Acoustic echo cancellation

Namen projektnega dela je seznanitev s celotnim procesom odstranjevanja akustičnega odmeva v konferenčnih sobah, ki zagotavlja ustrezno razumevanje govora. Ukvarja se s prostorsko akustiko in algoritmi, ki odpravljajo odmev pri prenosu govora preko prostoročnih telefonov ali telefonije preko internetnega protokola. V kolikor želimo dušiti odmev sobe v celotnem slišnem frekvenčnem področju, uporabimo pasivne mešane strukture, ki jih namestimo na stene, pogosto kombinacija poroznih absorberjev in resonatorjev. Za odstranjevanje akustičnega odmeva, ki ga zajame mikrofon, smo algoritme preizkusili v okolju MATLAB. Najboljša izbira za realizacijo na signalnem procesorju je algoritem NLMS, v prihodnosti s hitrejšimi signalnimi procesorji pa tudi RLS.The purpose of this project is to get familiar with the complete process of cancelling acoustic reverberation in conference rooms, which ensures good speech recognition. It is based on room acoustics and algorithms, which cancel echo that is made in hands-free or VoIP communication. In conference room, the reverberation from whole frequency spectrum is eliminated with mixed passive structures, such as porous materials and resonators which are placed on the walls. For elimination of echo, which is picked up by microphone, we tried different algorithms in MATLAB environment. The best pick for realization on digital signal processor currently is NLMS with RLS being the option in future when DSP’s get faster

Arthur Tress

In her thesis, Danica Kovacevic focuses on Arthur Tress, an important representative of world photography. Apart from presenting a complex and comprehensive summary of Tresse?s photographic oeuvre, the objective of her thesis is also the evaluation of the artist?s distinctive approach to the surrealist heritage and his personal contribution to the development of this movement?s theses. The author subsequently attempts her own theoretical interpretation of Arthur Tresse?s oeuvre. In the opening part of the submitted thesis, Personality of Arthur Tress, the author mentions biographical dates, events and those aspects of Arthur Tresse?s personality that she finds significant for his future artistic development. The following part, Creation of Arthur Tress, she deals in detail with influences, resources, the process of constituting the artist?s creative method (Arthur Tress in the Context of the Development of Surrealism in Photography, The Birth of a Photographer) and a detailed analysis of the particular creative phases (Staged Figurative Photography, Collages, Late Work). Considering the paradoxical fact that the persona of Arthur Tresse is given the attribute of ?the master of spiritual vision and staged surrealism? in common interpretations, yet the artist himself identifies as a documentary or etnographic photographer, and recognizing that all his photographic work contains explicitly artistic elements, often surrealistic and imaginative, the author attempts to decipher the basic elements of Arthur Tresse?s poetics and to accuratetly define and contrast it with the surrealist aesthetics, with which the artist is often artificially associated, and at the same time offer her own, deeper interpretation of his oeuvre

DISCRETION: COMPARISON BETWEEN WEAPONS LAW AND LAW OF NATIONAL BORDER CONTROL

Namen diplomskega dela je pojem prostega preudarka najprej umestiti v sistem upravnega prava, v nadaljevanju pa je potrebno bralcu pojasniti, da gre v tem primeru za »izjemo« od načela zakonitosti, za relativno izjemo od najpomembnejšega temeljnega načela upravnega prava in nasploh glavnega načela našega celotnega pravnega sistema. Organu, ki odloča po prostem preudarku, je z zakonom podeljena pristojnost, da sam na podlagi tehtanja, preudarjanja in presojanja izbere najboljšo izmed več možnih alternativ, glede na ugotovljeno dejansko stanje. Posamični upravni akt mora biti izdan v mejah in v skladu z namenom, za kar mu je bilo pooblastilo dano. V primeru kršitev in zlorabe prostega preudarka so vsakemu posamezniku zagotovljena ustrezna pravna sredstva. Namen diplomskega dela je tudi, da na podlagi sodne prakse Upravnega, Višjega, Vrhovnega in Ustavnega sodišča Republike Slovenije, na primerih odvzema orožja in orožne listine ter izvajanju pooblastil policije pri nadzoru državne meje, prikažem uporabo prostega preudarka upravnega organa, kakor tudi primere pravne vezanosti odločbe, ko je predpis že vnaprej odločil, kakšna mora biti njena vsebina, glede na ugotovljeno dejansko stanje. Cilj diplomskega dela je po obravnavanih zakonih in analizi sodb sodišč ugotoviti ali je obseg prostega preudarka pristojnemu organu dan v preveliki oziroma premajhni meri ter predlagati določene rešitve za boljšo ureditev.The purpose of the following diploma thesis is to, first and foremost, place the concept of discretion in the system of administrative law. Furthermore we will try to explain the reader that the principle of free discretion is in fact an "exception" from the principle of legality, a relative exception to the most important basic principle of administrative law and generally the main principle of our entire legal system. The discretionary body is supported by law to select the best of a number of possible alternatives based on the weighing up, contemplating and judging the actual situation. A separate administrative act must be issued within the limits and in accordance with the purpose for which the authorization has been given. In case of violations and misconduct, each individual is provided with appropriate legal remedies. The purpose of the diploma work is also to show, on the basis of the court\u27s case-law of the Administrative, Appellate, Supreme and Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia, on the cases of confiscating weapons and weapons\u27 documents and the exercise of police powers in the state border control, the discretion of the administrative body as well as cases of legal judicial decree of a decision that is used when the regulation has already decided in advance what its content must be, in accordance with the established factual situation. The objective of the diploma thesis is to examine the laws in question and to analyze the judgment of the courts to determine whether the extent of the discretion of the competent authority is too great or too small, and to suggest certain solutions for better regulation

Yugoslavs architects educated in Bohemia

Jugoslávští architekti školeni v Čechách: se zaměřuje na meziválečnou generaci architektů z území bývalé Jugoslávie, kteří po návratu z Čech šířili středoevropského ducha i do jižních částí Jugoslávie. Práce sleduje jen několik architektů, kteří po návratu provozovali vlastní ateliery a dokázali exportovat ideje české avangardy k Jihoslovanům. V neposlední řadě je nutné poukázat na paradox skrývající se za pojmem "národní architektura".Tento pojem je udržován při životě jen díky kunshistorickému bádání, přičemž univerzalita architektury se zdá být imunní vůči národním vlivům.Yugoslav architects educated in Bohemia are focusing on the between war generation of Yugoslav architects,which moving back from Bohemia imported the idea of Central Europe based on multinational states and multi-ethnic coexistence. It follows architects which have been able to establish their own practise and to develop ideas of the Czech avant-garde in the South Slavic countries. Exploring a paradox of the national architecture, it confronts the vision of art historians, with architecture as a universal non-national art, which is immune to the national influences.ústav teorie a dějin architektur
