Conceptual Scheme for Ensuring the Energy Efficiency Principle in Modern Container Fleet

    Get PDF
As a result of the analysis of the modern merchant fleet, indicators have been revealed of an increase in the size of modern merchant vessels, which affects the overall energy efficiency. It should be noted a significant increase in the container fleet, namely, not only an increase in the number of vessels themselves, but also an increase in the average carrying capacity by almost 2.8 times. As a result, emissions to the atmosphere have also increased due to a significant increase in ship propulsion power and fuel consumption. This is due to the specifics of container traffic, namely for the rapid transportation of goods from port A to port B, for which container ships often move in all weather conditions with maximum speed, respectively, fuel consumption is enormous compared to other types of ships.Despite the fact that the goods must be delivered as soon as possible and without delay, in practice, due to the lack of effective feedback between all participants in the transportation process, this is not always possible. The inefficiency of feedback leads to wasteful resources, which in turn increases the financial costs of the shipowner by increasing fuel consumption. It also reduces the energy efficiency of the ship and increasing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.Considering the experience of the giants of maritime transport such as MAERSK, MSC, CMA CGM, it is possible to see that all participants in the process are single unit and interested in maximum efficiency of transportation. Containers of smaller companies that do not own their terminals often face ineffective feedback and are not able to influence the situation. The conceptual scheme proposed in the article should increase the efficiency of feedback between the vessel charter and the port, which, in turn, will increase the efficiency of sea freight. Constant access to information about the situation in the port will make it possible to avoid unnecessary delays of the ship

A light and electron microscopic study of the development of antheridia in Onoclea sensibilis L

    Get PDF
Axenic cultures of Onoclea sensibilis L. form antheridia when treated with Antheridiogen Pt (A(,pt)). A dilute concentration of calcium hypochlorite, in contact with spores for less than 2 minutes, inhibits the rate of vegetative cell divisions, but has little affect on gametophyte morphology or antheridium development. The A(,pt) inhibits the rate of vegetative cell divisions to the same extent as calcium hypochlorite, but the effects are not synergistic; The maximum and minimum induction periods of antheridium formation are 5- 1/2 and 2- 1/2 days when treated on the day of sowing and 4 days later, respectively. The number of antheridia produced is highly correlated to the number of vegetative cells present per gametophyte; The division phase of antheridium development takes about 4 days. The differentiation of spermatids into spermatozoids takes about 3 days;First-formed antheridia occur on lateral, marginal cells and later-formed antheridia occur on upper, central cells. Only a portion of vegetative cells ever produce antheridia;Antheridium initials form at the anterior end of elongate, vegetative cells by an asymmetric cell division preceded by nuclear migration and an accumulation of RNA-staining cytoplasm in the anterior region. Prior to the first two cell divisions in the expanded initial, the cytoplasm becomes polarly distributed. A densely cytoplasmic, spermatogenous cell becomes enclosed by three vacuolate, jacket cells. The orientation of the divisions of the jacket cell walls is consistent with the classical theory of antheridium development. The daughter cells of the first two jacket cell divisions are different in shape, but similar in volume;Antheridia with 32 and 64 spermatids occur on gametophytes with equal frequency. The volume of each spermatid is similar regardless of the number present. The early stage in blepharoplast formation consists of a sphere of flocculent material containing two tri-laminate plaques oriented parallel to each other;During spermatid differentiation, two successive layers of cell wall material are deposited; the first layer during the rounding up of the spermatids, the second layer just before the spermatids decrease in volume and separate from the cell wall. Spermatozoids are released ensheathed in a layer of cell wall material

Application of the developed complex program more than its separate components caused the expressed reduction of body weight, mainly due to reduction of fatty tissue and manifestations of visceral obesity in patients with obesity and violation of reproductive function, including due to elimination of a metabolic imbalance

The Framework for Simulation of Bioinspired Security Mechanisms against Network Infrastructure Attacks

    Get PDF
The paper outlines a bioinspired approach named “network nervous system" and methods of simulation of infrastructure attacks and protection mechanisms based on this approach. The protection mechanisms based on this approach consist of distributed prosedures of information collection and processing, which coordinate the activities of the main devices of a computer network, identify attacks, and determine nessesary countermeasures. Attacks and protection mechanisms are specified as structural models using a set-theoretic approach. An environment for simulation of protection mechanisms based on the biological metaphor is considered; the experiments demonstrating the effectiveness of the protection mechanisms are described
