This study focuses on the apples, berries, and grapes wastage produced by the population of North America and Europe. The research is aims to conduct in-depth comparison between these two regions based on volume and monetary value of fruit waste produced. The research was conducted by an inquiry based primary research with industry experts product development scientist and good waste management companies, and secondary research was conducted by collecting information from company’s websites, annual reports, white papers, and financial reports. This research open the reusability opportunity of fruit waste, optimize the food processing and manufacturing industry. The waste from apples, berries, and grapes are high in moisture and biologically active components (BACs) which make them ideal raw materials for the functional food product industry. The market research conducted in the study highlights the potential in the waste produced by apples, berries, and grapes during food processing and manufacturing through ingredient analysis and comparing it to the functional food ingredient requirements. The results of the market research and industry analysis will assist industries and researchers in finding and optimizing processes to reduce waste and maximize the extraction of fruits’ nutrients content. Search for Eccentric Black Hole Coalescences during the Third Observing Run of LIGO and Virgo

Despite the growing number of confident binary black hole coalescences observed through gravitational waves so far, the astrophysical origin of these binaries remains uncertain. Orbital eccentricity is one of the clearest tracers of binary formation channels. Identifying binary eccentricity, however, remains challenging due to the limited availability of gravitational waveforms that include effects of eccentricity. Here, we present observational results for a waveform-independent search sensitive to eccentric black hole coalescences, covering the third observing run (O3) of the LIGO and Virgo detectors. We identified no new high-significance candidates beyond those that were already identified with searches focusing on quasi-circular binaries. We determine the sensitivity of our search to high-mass (total mass M>70M>70 MM_\odot) binaries covering eccentricities up to 0.3 at 15 Hz orbital frequency, and use this to compare model predictions to search results. Assuming all detections are indeed quasi-circular, for our fiducial population model, we place an upper limit for the merger rate density of high-mass binaries with eccentricities 0<e0.30 < e \leq 0.3 at 0.330.33 Gpc3^{-3} yr1^{-1} at 90\% confidence level.Comment: 24 pages, 5 figure

A holistic framework of corporate website favourability

Get PDF
This paper extends the current knowledge of corporate website favourability (CWF) by developing a comprehensive conceptual model of its influence on corporate image, corporate reputation, loyalty and identification. The paper reviews previous studies on corporate websites from the perspectives of marketing, management, corporate identity and corporate visual identity in order to inform our understanding of the antecedents and consequences of CWF. The propositions and the conceptual framework present an approach by which a corporation can design and manage a favourable corporate website. A number of important contributions are offered: First, the paper adds to the understanding of CWF; second, it discusses the antecedents of CWF by drawing upon the existing literature; third, it is beneficial for practitioners in shaping CWF strategies, and fourth, it offers possible consequences of CWF and provides a framework for future testing

Study of topical corticosteroid response in glaucoma suspects and family members of established glaucoma patients

The present study was conducted to study the topical steroid response in glaucoma suspects and family members of established glaucoma patients and its hereditary pattern The cases understudy were divided into three groups, namely normal (25 cases), suspected open angle glaucoma cases (20) and family members of established open angle glaucoma cases (33). After preliminary examination each patient was advised to put dexamethasone drop 1 % in one eye and a placebo in other eye. The IOP was noted after three weeks It was found that 80% of all eyes under study showed a rise in IOP after use of topical dexamethasone. The highest mean IOP was found in primary open angle glaucoma suspects, and the highest mean post-corticosteroid rise in IOP of 8.91 mm Hg was found among family members of established open angle glaucoma patients. The lOP response to topical corticosteroids was found to be of three phenotypical types viz., poor responders (nn), moderate responders (ng) and high responders (gg). Normal subjects were generally poor responders. Suspected open angle glaucoma cases were generally high responders. However, family members of established open angle glaucoma cases showed the highest percentage of presence of responder gene

CBS-miRSeq: A comprehensive tool for accurate and extensive analyses of microRNA-sequencing data

No full text
Several online and local tools have been developed to analyze microRNA-sequencing (miRNA-Seq) data, but usually they are limited by many factors including: inaccurate processing, lack of optimal parameterization, outdated references plus annotations, restrictions in uploading large datasets, and shortage of biological inferences. In this work, we have developed a fully customized bioinformatics analysis pipeline (Color and Base-Space miRNA-Seq – CBS-miRSeq) for the seamless processing of short-reads miRNA-Seq data. The pipeline has been designed using Bash, Perl, and R scripts. CBS-miRSeq includes modules for read pre- and post-processing (quality assessment, filtering, adapter trimming and mapping) and different types of downstream analyses (identification of miRNA variants (isomiRs), novel miRNA prediction, miRNA:mRNA interaction target prediction, robust differential miRNA analysis, and target gene functional analysis). In this manuscript, we show that re-analysis of two published datasets using the CBS-miRSeq pipeline leads to better performance and efficiency in terms of their pipelines set and biomarker discovery between two biological conditions

Customer Support Chatbot Using Natural Language Processing

Customer support has become one of the most important communication tools used by companies to provide before and after-sale services to customers. The immediate response to all customer query is very necessary for company success. In this paper we focus on, providing a Chatbot that will see to all the queries user have and will provide a solution or answer to that.Usually companies have many people involved for dealing customer queries but this is time-consuming and tedious job to be done. For solving these problems, Chatbot was created for use. Generally, the frequently asked customer questions and corresponding answers and description about the company details are stored in a text file. So in this model, it will take the customer's question as input, preprocessing them using some Natural Language Processing techniques that include Tokenization, Lemmatization, and stemming, find the cosine similarity between the user query and provides a score for each answer, the more suitable and perfect answer with more cosine similarity score will be considered as the answer for the given question. The Chatbot helps to provide high accuracy by proving the correct and satisfying answer to the customer's question for a company

Advanced cancer targeting using aptamer functionalized nanocarriers for site-specific cargo delivery

No full text
Abstract The non-specificity of standard anticancer therapies has profound detrimental consequences in clinical treatment. Therapeutic specificity can be precisely achieved using cutting-edge ligands. Small synthetic oligonucleotide-ligands chosen through Systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX) would be an unceasing innovation in using nucleic acids as aptamers, frequently referred to as "chemical antibodies.” Aptamers act as externally controlled switching materials that can attach to various substrates, for example, membrane proteins or nucleic acid structures. Aptamers pose excellent specificity and affinity for target molecules and can be used as medicines to suppress tumor cell growth directly. The creation of aptamer-conjugated nanoconstructs has recently opened up innovative options in cancer therapy that are more effective and target tumor cells with minor toxicity to healthy tissues. This review focuses on a comprehensive description of the most capable classes of aptamer-tethered nanocarriers for precise recognition of cancer cells with significant development in proficiency, selectivity, and targetability for cancer therapy. Existing theranostic applications with the problems and future directions are also highlighted. Graphical Abstrac
