The aim of this research is to determine teachers' and students' opinions about instrumental maintenance and repair course in 12th grades in Fine Arts High Schools musical departments in Turkey, to explain how these problems will be solved in the realization phase and to present solution proposals about future gains. This research aimed to determine teachers' and students' opinions on the achievement of instrument maintenance and repair course instructional programs are data based screening models. In Turkey there are α=74 Fine Arts High Schools. Instrument maintenance and repair courses are taught on 12th grades. So the Fine Arts High Schools universe is α=54. The sample size determined α=0,05 considering the sample size, ±0,05 sampling error, p=0,5 and q=0,5 confidence interval. Accepting, 47 teachers of sample group and 302 students of sample group can represent it at the level of 0,05 significance and %5 tolerance. 47 questionnaires from teachers and 302 from students were obtained. The number of the questionnaires obtained in this context is the ability to represent the main mass. Teacher and student opinions scale of instrument maintenance and repair lesson curriculum achievements were developed for use in the research. These scales were applied after validity, reliability analysis and expert opinion. The teacher and student opinions regarding the achievements curriculum don't show any significant difference according to the demographic variables. Teacher and student views are partly the fact that they are in the reference range

Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair during the Early Days of the COVID-19 Outbreak

Introduction: We report the results of endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) in three patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: Three patients were diagnosed with abdominal aortic aneurysm. All three patients were male and aged 68 years. The diameter of the aneurysm was larger than 65 mm and was considered suitable for EVAR. Thorax tomography was performed to exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection before the procedure. Results: We performed EVAR under general anesthesia. "Priority Level" was based on the guideline of the American College of Surgeons. The procedure was conducted in the angiography laboratory by taking advanced precautions. Intensive care admission was avoided. The postoperative period was uneventful, and all patients were discharged without any condition associated with COVID-19. There were no mortality, rupture, secondary intervention, major adverse event, limb occlusion, and 60-day read-mission. Conclusions: During the pandemic, EVAR can be performed for symptomatic abdominal aortic aneurysm with a diameter of more than 65 mm. Thorax tomography is safe to exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, tomographic angiography to monitor patients may be difficult during the pandemic

Application of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) for selection of forecasting software

    No full text
In this paper, we described an application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for the ranking and selection of forecasting software. AHP is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approach, which is based on the pair-wise comparison of elements of a given set with respect to multiple criteria. Even though there are applications of the AHP to software selection problems, we have not encountered a study that involves forecasting software. We started our analysis by filtering among forecasting software that were found on the Internet by undergraduate students as a part of a course project. Then we processed a second filtering step, where we reduced the number of software to be examined even further. Finally we constructed the comparison matrices based upon the evaluations of three “semi-experts”, and obtained a ranking of forecasting software of the selected software using the Expert Choice software. We report our findings and our insights, together with the results of a sensitivity analysis
