    I denne avhandlingen har fokuset vært på kunnskapsbevaring. Da i forståelsen av kunnskapsbevaring som et dynamisk og prosessuelt begrep. Gjennom begrepet kunnskapsbevaring fokuserer vi på ansatte og deres kunnskap, og drøfter metoder og prosesser som er med på å omdanne den taus kunnskapen til eksplisitt kunnskap. Vi har fokus på mennesket som den viktigste ressursen en organisasjon innehar. Da med henblikk på at arbeidet med kunnskap skal være systematisk, og på en slik måte at det oppstår kunnskaping – skaping av ny kunnskap. Avhandlingen har derfor strategi som tema – strategi for å beholde kunnskap i bedriften

    The surveillance and control programme for bonamiosis and marteiliosis in European flat oysters, Ostrea edulis, and blue mussels, Mytilus sp. in Norway in 2022

    The surveillance programme is carried out by the Institute of Marine Research according to a contract with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. In 2022, samples were collected from an area in Agder where flat oysters and mussels are harvested from wild beds and farmed, and from one mussel farm in Trøndelag county. Samples were collected in April/May and in October, to be able to detect Bonamia sp. and Marteilia sp. during the periods when the potential prevalence in affected populatioons is highest. No abnormal mortalities were observed during the surveillance. Bonamia ostreae / B. exitiosa and Marteilia refringens were not detected. Marteilia pararefringens has been observed in Norwegian mussels since 2016 and a targeted surveillance was carried out in 2022. M. pararefringens has so far been detected at eight sites. All Marteilia isolates have been sequenced and typed as Marteilia pararefringens, which is presumed specific for mussels. The work will be continued in 2023, linked to research on the distribution of M. pararefringens in wild mussels. We propose a revision of the surveillance programme and application for disease free status for Bonamia exitiosa in Norwegian flat oysters.     Background Echocardiographic upper normal limits of both main pulmonary artery (MPA) diameters (MPA-d) and ratio of MPA to aortic root diameter (MPA-r) are not defined in healthy adults. Accordingly, frequency of MPA dilatation based on echocardiography remains to be assessed in adults with Marfan syndrome (MFS). Methods We enrolled 123 normal adults (72 men, 52 women aged 42 ± 14 years) and 98 patients with MFS (42 men, 56 women aged 39 ± 14 years) in a retrospective cross-sectional observational controlled study in four tertiary care centers. We defined outcome measures including upper normal limits of MPA-d and MPA-r as 95 quantile of normal persons, MPA dilatation as diameters > upper normal limits, MPA aneurysm as diameters >4 cm, and indication for surgery as MPA diameters >6 cm. Results MPA diameters revealed normal distribution without correlation to age, sex, body weight, body height, body mass index and body surface area. The upper normal limit was 2.6 cm (95% confidence interval (CI) =2.44-2.76 cm) for MPA-d, and 1.05 (95% CI = .86–1.24) for MPA-r. MPA dilatation presented in 6 normal persons (4.9%) and in 68 MFS patients (69.4%; P < .001), MPA aneurysm presented only in MFS (15 patients; 15.3%; P < .001), and no patient required surgery. Mean MPA-r were increased in MFS (P 1.05 were equally frequent in 7 normal persons (5%) and in 8 MFS patients (10.5%; P = .161). MPA-r related to aortic root diameters (P = .042), reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (P = .006), and increased pulmonary artery systolic pressures (P = .040). No clinical manifestations of MFS and no FBN1 mutation characteristics related to MPA diameters. Conclusions We established 2.6 cm for MPA-d and 1.05 for MPA-r as upper normal limits. MFS exhibits a high prevalence of MPA dilatation and aneurysm. However, patients may require MPA surgery only in scarce circumstances, most likely because formation of marked MPA aneurysm may require LV dysfunction and increased PASP

    AbstractWe here describe a multimodality neuroimaging containing data from healthy volunteers and patients, acquired within the Lundbeck Foundation Center for Integrated Molecular Brain Imaging (Cimbi) in Copenhagen, Denmark. The data is of particular relevance for neurobiological research questions related to the serotonergic transmitter system with its normative data on the serotonergic subtype receptors 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, 5-HT2A, and 5-HT4 and the 5-HT transporter (5-HTT), but can easily serve other purposes.The Cimbi database and Cimbi biobank were formally established in 2008 with the purpose to store the wealth of Cimbi-acquired data in a highly structured and standardized manner in accordance with the regulations issued by the Danish Data Protection Agency as well as to provide a quality-controlled resource for future hypothesis-generating and hypothesis-driven studies.The Cimbi database currently comprises a total of 1100 PET and 1000 structural and functional MRI scans and it holds a multitude of additional data, such as genetic and biochemical data, and scores from 17 self-reported questionnaires and from 11 neuropsychological paper/computer tests. The database associated Cimbi biobank currently contains blood and in some instances saliva samples from about 500 healthy volunteers and 300 patients with e.g., major depression, dementia, substance abuse, obesity, and impulsive aggression.     Wide antral circumferential vs. ostial pulmonary vein isolation using pulsed field ablation—the butterfly effect

    BackgroundWide antral circumferential ablation (WACA) in comparison to ostial pulmonary vein (PV) isolation (PVI) has been attributed with improved rhythm outcome. We investigated the feasibility, lesion formation, and rhythm outcome of WACA-PVI in comparison to ostial-PVI using pulsed field ablation (PFA).MethodsSymptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF) patients (69 years, 67% male; 67% paroxysmal AF) were prospectively enrolled into our single-center registry and underwent first-time ostial-PFA or WACA-PFA, N = 15 each. In all patients, eight pulse trains (2 kV/2.5 s, bipolar, biphasic, 4× basket/flower configuration each) were delivered to each PV. In WACA-PFA, two extra pulse trains in a flower configuration were added to the anterior and posterior antrum of the PVs. For comparison of PFA lesion size, pre- and post-ablation left atrial (LA) voltage maps were acquired using a multipolar spiral catheter together with a three-dimensional electroanatomic mapping system.ResultsWACA-PFA resulted in a significant larger lesion formation than ostial-PFA (45.5 vs. 35.1 cm2, p = 0.001) with bilateral overlapping butterfly shape-like lesions and concomitant posterior LA wall isolation in 73% of patients. This was not associated with increased procedure time, sedation dosage, or exposure to radiation. One-year freedom from AF recurrence was numerically higher after WACA-PFA than ostial-PFA (94% vs. 87%) but not statistically significant (p = 0.68). No organized atrial tachycardias (ATs) were observed. Ostial-PFA patients more often underwent re-ablation due to recurrent AF episodes.ConclusionWACA-PFA is feasible and resulted in significantly wider lesion sets than ostial-PFA. Concomitant posterior LA wall isolation occurred as an epiphenomenon in the majority of patients. The WACA approach was associated with neither increased procedure and fluoroscopy times nor statistically significant differences in 1-year rhythm outcome. ATs were absent
