The Role of Scheme Method to Improve the Ability in Solving Mathematical Word Problems

Solving mathematical word problems are not easy for elementary school students. Third-grade students of elementary schools cannot understand mathematical word problems perfectly. The appropriate learning method is needed to improve the students\u27 ability in understanding to solve the questions. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the role of the scheme learning method to improve students\u27 ability in solving mathematical word problems. Third-grade students of elementary school took the process of this research. The students were divided into two groups; experimental and control groups. This research would be carried out in three sessions. The measurement of the students\u27 ability in solving the mathematical word problems was conducted by giving the pre-test and post-test mathematics materials. Data analysis performed used anava mixed design to compare score of students\u27 abilities in solving the mathematical word problems between experimental and control groups. The result of this study indicated that there were differences in score of students\u27 abilities in solving the mathematical word problems between experimental group and control group (p=0,039, p<0,05). Students who received scheme learning method increased their score more than control group. Applying this method can improved students\u27 ability in solving mathematical word problems

: Society Participation Towards the Rehabilitation of Mangrove (Study about Government Roles to Improving the Society Participation for Mangrove Forest Rehabilitation in Environmental Agent at Probolinggo City). Mangrove forests in Probolinggo City are increasingly degraded and damaged because of the construction and activities of the local community. The Government of Probolinggo through the Environmental Agent rehabilitates the mangrove forest based on the society participation. The focus of this research are 1) to know the role of Probolinggo Government in improving society participation in conserving mangrove forests, 2) to know the results achieved in the implementation of efforts to preserve mangrove forests 3) to know the supporters and restricting factors in increasing the participation of the community in the rehabilitation of mangrove forests. The results of this research were to increase community participation through some strategies that build community participation, do nursery and infrastructure development. BLH Probolinggo had acted properly by running its role as a modernists, regulator, catalysts, stabilizers, dinamisator and as a pioneer. The results obtained in the implementation of rehabilitation were the positive impacts for the participation of the community, the livelihood of fishermen and the conservation of mangrove forests

Relative Valuation Model Analysis of Idx

There are various valuation models can be used by investors in order to predict the stock value. This paper focuses on the Relative Valuation Model, which is the popular model used by investors as it is easier to use compared to other models. The aim of this paper is to compare the prediction accuracy of various ratios in the model. Ratios examined in this paper are Price to Earning (PE), Price to Book Value (PBV), Price to Cash Flow (PCF), and Price to Sales (PS). Using the LQ45 listed stocks during period 2006 – 2010, it is found that, overall, PBV appears to be the best ratio to predict LQ45 stocks in Indonesian equity market. However, mixed results are found in the yearly analysis, in which PE, PBV, and PCF result in lower prediction errors, in different years. In the sector industry analysis, both PE and PBV are the best predictors in three sectors each. The descriptive analysis is supported by the hypo research testing that shows the accuracy of examined ratios is different. The research result implication is that investors should take time and sectors into the account before choosing a single ratio as a predictor

The implications of this definition make the open sea an area open to every country and no country claims that the region is under its jurisdiction. Management of skin-sparing mastectomy: Results of a survey of German Hospitals

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the current management of skin-sparing mastectomy in German hospitals and to determine its oncologic safety. For this purpose, 100 surgeons were surveyed regarding their use of skin-sparing mastectomy. Results: Almost all surveyed hospitals performed skin-sparing mastectomy. Most of them believe that the recurrence rate is equal to that of conventional mastectomy. 95% regard inflammatory cancer as a contraindication to skin-sparing surgery. Most of the hospitals thin out the skin without leaving any macroscopic glandular tissue behind, and 73% leave the nipple-areola complex (NAC) on the basis of frozen sections. Volume replacement is most commonly done with latissimus dorsi muscle flaps and pedicled TRAM flaps. In 76% of the surveyed hospitals, reconstruction after mastectomy is performed by the gynecological department. Conclusion: Skin-sparing mastectomy is considered to be the best cosmetic option for breast reconstruction in selected breast cancer patients. Results: The results showed that the organoleptic test of banana jam and tempe is jam treatment A with the addition of citric acid: pectin = 0.5%: 1%. Results of chemical analysis of the average protein content of 6.1%, an average ash content of 1.80% and average total sugar content 35.57%. During the storage up to week-3, the jam has an average water content of 25.31%- 26.25%; pH range from 5 to 6.15; aw values ranged from 0.75 to 0.83 and the average TPC 1.6 x 102 to 2.2 x 103.
