    Malay Culture-Based Local Content Curriculum in Islamic Education

    Globalization is a reality that humans must accept and penetrates various aspects of life, such as the economy and education. Education is not anti-globalization, but through education, there should be filtering of globalization that supports the realization of national education goals. Therefore, the position of the curriculum is seen as the basis for fortifying a generation aware of the superiority of local culture. This study aims to reveal the rationality of genre-based local culture in the curriculum, the elements of local culture teaching, and the design of the gradation of genre-based local content of Malay culture. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the library research method to analyze the Malay cultural genre contained in the curriculum through data sources in the form of articles, books, and scientific reports. The result of this research is the implementation of Malay genre-based local content subjects has a clear foundation, namely the State of Indonesia and the Indonesian language comes from the Malay language in Indonesia. The Malay genre, as a local curriculum content, is understood as a whole of ideas, actions, and human works and has become an inseparable system from the life of the Indonesian people. Malay genre-based local curriculum design can be done by internalizing Malay culture in every subject set in the curriculum, especially those related to the cultural history of the Indonesian nation and its relation to Islamic religious education. This finding is based on the culture of the country as well as the ideology of the Indonesian state is inseparable from Islamic values

    Manbaul Ulum Islamic boarding school is a classical Salaf educational institution that develops its educational curriculum based not only on nushus sharia but also on maqashidus sharia. Technically, the curriculum development is oriented towards the construction of the character of tawazun, i'tidal, and tawassuth in religion. The research on the development of a religious moderation curriculum is of utmost importance because it aims to prevent extremism, enhance understanding and tolerance among different religions, and instill ethical and moral values within the religious context. This study aims to explore the development of an Islamic education curriculum in building religious moderation in the Islamic boarding school Manbaul Ulum Bondowoso. This research is field research with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained by using data collection instruments in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews. Then the data were analyzed with qualitative data analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. The validity of the data was tested by triangulation. The results showed that first, the Manbaul Ulum Islamic boarding school developed a pesantren learning curriculum based on maqashid shari'ah and not only on nushus shari'ah, which in this case has the principles of Tawazun, I'tidal, and Tawassuth  in thinking and acting; second, the curriculum developed at the Manbaul Ulum Islamic boarding school is oriented to build religious moderation in the students so that they can preach it after associating with the wider community.   Keywords: Islamic Education Curriculum, Manbaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Religious Moderatio

    The Kyai’s Position in Rural Local Democracy Based on Patronage Politics at Tapal Kuda

    AbstractSociologically, the village community in the East Java Tapal Kuda is dominated by the sarong people who have affiliation with certain Pesantren either as alumni or only as sympathizers. This is because the distribution of Islamic boarding schools in this area is relatively highand is socio-cultural educational basis of rural communities in the region. The indication is the domination of society Nahdliyin affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama as a social organization social largest in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the role of Kyai in the context of local democracy rural based on patronage politics in the East Java Tapal Kuda. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitativewith inductive approach. While the type study is a case study. The data collection instruments used were observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. In collecting data, this research uses Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, namely; data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. In testing the validity of the data, researchersuse triangulation, namely source triangulation, method triangulation, peer discussion andmember check. The results of the study show that rural communities are ordinary people who do not have political awareness in local democracy so they are independent patron to Kyai as role models in their lives and the role of the Kyai in the patronage politics of rural communities determines the flow of support for local democratic communities because politics is a subordinate area of the religiosity of rural communities.  AbstrakMasyarakat desa secara sosiologis di Tapal Kuda Jawa Timur didominasi oleh kaum sarungan yang  memiliki afiliasi pada pesantren tertentu baik sebagai alumni maupun hanya sebatas simpatisan. Pasalnya, sebaran pesantren di daerah ini tergolong tinggi dan merupakan basis sosial-budaya pendidikan masyarakat pedesaan di wilayah tersebut. Indikasinya adalah dominasi masyarakat Nahdliyin yang berafiliasi pada Nahdlatul Ulama sebagai organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan terbesar di Indonesia.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran Kyai dalam konteks demokrasi lokal pedesaan yang berbasis pada politik patronase di lingkup Tapal Kuda Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Sedangkan jenis penelitian adalah studi kasus. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara secara mendalam.  Dalam pengumpulan data, penelitian ini menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, yaitu; reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam uji keabsahaan data, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi, yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, diskusi sejawat dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat pedesaan adalah masyarakat awam yang tidak memiliki kesadaran politis dalam demokrasi lokal sehingga mereka berpatron pada Kyai sebagai panutan dalam kehidupan mereka dan peran Kyai dalam politik patronase masyarakat pedesaan menentukan terhadap arus dukungan masyarakat demokrasi lokal sebab politik merupakan wilayah subordinat dari religiusitas masyarakat desa

    Audiolingual Method in Arabic Learning

    Learning methods have an important position in achieving learning objectives. One of the reasons for the slow achievement of the goals that have been set is the inaccuracy in choosing the method. The Audiolingual method as applied by Arabic learning practitioners has been able to improve the quality of Arabic learning processes and outcomes. Therefore, this article explains, reveals, and analyzes in depth the Audiolingual method in theory and practice. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Research data were collected from library sources relevant to the research theme. The research data were analyzed in terms of content analysis by comparing various opinions of experts, the researcher concludes by determining the position among the existing opinions.  The result of the research is the Audiolingual method, which is a language learning method that emphasizes understanding what is listened to. This method emerged based on the behaviorism approach. In practice, the Audiolingual method is equipped with exercises on sentence patterns that aim to improve student's communication skills. The findings can be further developed by further researchers by examining the use of the Audiolingual method in various educational institutions through action, development, or research in the form of evaluation

    The Effect of Immersive Learning on Students' Cognitive and Affective Aspects

    Deep learning or what is known as "Immersive Learning" is becoming an issue that is being studied a lot because of the application of technology in the process. The role of technology in this case is utilized to realize deep learning. Immersive Learning is applied by several methods, including online and blended. However, there are not many research articles that explicitly focus on Immersive Learning. Therefore, for the purpose of this review, several academic articles dealing with the specific topic of immersive learning have been selected and studied. Several topics have been searched using keywords related to immersive learning on academic search engines such as Springer, and Google Scholar, as well as on several other reputable academic journal publishing websites. The articles reviewed were sixteen articles published in the last five years. Based on the results of the article review, it can be concluded that immersive learning not only has a negative impact, but also has a positive impact on students' cognitive and affective aspects. Cognitive aspects include understanding and other academic abilities, while affective aspects include self-efficacy, motivation, and student attitudes towards subjects at school. With this review, it is hoped that teachers and educators will pay more attention to the positive and negative effects of this immersive learning process, so that they can optimize the learning outcomes obtained by students from the learning process, especially Natural Science subjects

Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, di antara faktor penyebabnya adalah penggunaan model yang digunakan masih bersifat konvensional, siswa kurang dilibatkan secara aktif dalam pembelajaran dan penilaian yang digunakan masih bersifat penilaian hasil bukan penilaian proses. Penelitian ini berjudul pengaruh model pembelajaran Carousel Feedback terhadap prestasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas X1 IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Selatan.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Carousel Feedback terhadap prestasi belajar sejarah siswa kelas X1 IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Selatan dan sampelnya terdiri dari 56 siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan test dan dokumentasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa diperoleh nilai pada taraf signifikansi 0,975 dengan derajat kebebasan dk = 54, maka hipotesis alternatif diterima. Di kelas eksperimen terdapat 6% siswa tidak tuntas belajar dan 94% siswa yang tuntas belajar, sedangkan di kelas kontrol 58% siswa tidak tuntas belajar dan 42% siswa yang tuntas belajar. Sesuai dengan pengolahan data, diperoleh hasil uji-t yaitu thitung = 4,55 sedangkan > ttabel = 2,00, berarti thitung > ttabel atau 4,55 > 2,00. Dengan demikian sesuai kriteria pengujian, maka H1 diterima

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis praktik pembelajaran yang selama ini dilakukan oleh para guru al-qur’an hadis Madrasah Aliyah di Kabupaten Demak Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang tergabung dalam MGMP. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, serta wawancara. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan beberapa langkah: pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas praktik pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru al-qur’an hadis MA di Demak masih klasikal, didominasi ceramah, media dan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang variatif serta adaptif, pembelajarannya masih berfokus pada guru (belum berfokus pada siswa), belum banyak memanfaatkan teknologi atau internet serta belum mengarahkan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menghasilkan analisis bahwa untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran para guru maka langkah yang harus dilakukan adalah memperbanyak inovasi dan ilmu lewat berbagai pelatihan online maupun offline, mengikuti pendidikan profesi guru (PPG) dan meningkatkan kualifikasi pendidikannya menuju jenjang magister dan doktor agar kualitas dan kompetensi para guru meningkat serta kualitas pembelajarannya juga lebih kontekstual dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik yang sedang belajar

    The Creativity of The Quran Hadith Teacher to Overcome Students' Learning Difficulties

    Learning does not always go according to what is expected. The existence of problems during the learning process is a challenge. The subjects of the Qur'an Hadith have been found learning difficulties for students. So to understand the learning difficulties experienced by students and know and analyze the creative efforts of Qur’an teachers Hadith in overcoming learning difficulties, this research was conducted at madrasah International Standard in Mojokerto. The researchers use a qualitative approach, a type of case study using; collects data, analyses, and concludes field data. As for the research findings: 1) Difficulties faced by students include; difficulty reading, writing, memorization, and understanding material 2) While creativity carried out by the Master of the Qur'an Hadith to overcome learning difficulties, namely; a) On the difficulty of reading and writing; Personal approach, Cooperate with the Muadalah program; (a) Reading the Quran with tajwid (b) Providing writing and making up skills in Arabic, b) Difficulty memorizing material; Giving short verses, providing motivation, instructing repeat memorization giving time lag during learning c) Difficulty understanding the material; Giving repetition of the material, using simple language, providing motivation, interpreting verse every word

    The ultimate goal of learning English is that students can easily grasp every material being taught. Especially in learning vocabularies, teachers are always looking for the best method to be applied in learning. By offering this PIDIW method, it is expected that it can encourage, arouse students' enthusiasm in learning English, and can create a fun and satisfying quality of learning between teachers and students in class. Seeing how important it is for students to understand and enjoy learning English in class, the authors conducted a study by developing a learning method that is expected to be used in learning English. This research aims to produce an innovative method called "Picturing by Describing Words". This research seeks to formulate the development of the Picturing By Describing Words learning method or abbreviated as PIDIW which includes: Definition, and Steps for Its Application in learning English. This research is limited only to the following stages: 1. Definition stages. 2. Stages of Formulation and Design. The stages of implementation will be carried out as the next research. Picturing by describing words or abbreviated as PIDIW is a planning learning method that can be used by teachers in learning English. This learning method will encourage students' ability to catch words in English. So that the teacher/instructor can find out the development or the number of English vocabulary owned by each student/learner. This method is also expected to be able to improve students' quick and critical thinking skills to analyze descriptive words and transfer them into a final understanding.     Konseling keluarga sebagai bantuan yang diberikan oleh psikolog dalam memahami, memecahkan, mengentaskan masalah dan mengebangkan potensi anggota keluarga,  sehingga dapat melihat kesejahteraan dan kebahagian secara menyeluruh dalam keluarga pada pusat pelayanan terpadu pemberdayaan perempuan dan anak Luhak Nan Tuo Tanah Datar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan konseling keluarga baik dari aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, tindak lanjut dan pelaporan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah tiga orang responden yang terdiri dari satu orang psikolog dan dua orang pelaksana harian pada Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak Luhak Nan Tuo Tanah Datar. Sedangkan yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah pelaksanaan konseling keluarga yang dilakukan oleh Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak Luhak Nan Tuo Tanah Datar. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah Psikolog kemudian ditambah dengan dokument-dokument pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2-3 bulan.Hasil dari penelitian ini antara lain: pelaksanaan konseling keluarga bersifat interaktif dengan melibatkan anggota keluarga, dalam rangka memahami, memecahkan, mengentaskan masalah dan mengembangkan potensi anggota keluarga, sehingga tercipta keseimbangan dalam keluarga. Kasus dominan yang mendapatkan layanan konseling keluarga pada Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak Luhak Nan Tuo Tanah Datar adalah kasus kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, kekerasan seksual berupa pencabulan, sodomi dan pemerkosaan,  kekerasan fisik berupa penganiayaan, perceraian, rujuk dan perebutan hak asuh ana
