Indices of the iterates of R3R^3-homeomorphisms at Lyapunov stable fixed points

Given any positive sequence (\{c_n\}_{n \in {\Bbb N}}), we construct orientation preserving homeomorphisms (f:{\Bbb R}^3 \to {\Bbb R}^3) such that (Fix(f)=Per(f)=\{0\}), (0) is Lyapunov stable and (\limsup \frac{|i(f^m, 0)|}{c_m}= \infty). We will use our results to discuss and to point out some strong differences with respect to the computation and behavior of the sequences of the indices of planar homeomorphisms.Comment: 19 pages, 8 figure

How to automate a kinematic mount using a 3D printed Arduino-based system

We demonstrate a simple, flexible and cost-effective system to automatize most of the kinematic mounts available nowadays on the market. It combines 3D printed components, an Arduino board, stepper motors, and simple electronics. The system developed can control independently and simultaneously up to ten stepper motors using commands sent through the serial port, and it is suitable for applications where optical realignment using flat mirrors is required on a periodic basis.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure

Evaluación de aprendizaje significativo y estilos de aprendizaje: Alcance, propuesta y desafíos en el aula

Inicialmente, se aborda el tema de la evaluación educativa a través de una serie de cuestionamientos que incluyen desde el qué evaluar hasta para quién se debe evaluar. A continuación, se desarrolla el concepto de aprendizaje significativo basado en el enfoque cognitivo de Asubel, para concluir con una propuesta de implementación de la evaluación del aprendizaje significativo en el quehacer docente, haciendo énfasis en la complejidad implícita del proceso para la recolección de evidencias de lo aprendido, así como los desafíos que conlleva la evaluación de los aprendizajes significativos, resaltando tres aspectos principales: la importancia de la construcción de instrumentos de evaluación; la integración de la autoevaluación y la coevaluación, para obtener un enfoque integral de la evaluación; y la generación de una nueva y contextualizada cultura evaluativaInitially, the issue of educational evaluation is addressed through a series of questions that include from what to evaluate to for whom to evaluate. El currículum familiar: herramienta pedagógica alternativa para la educación

La investigación que aquí se presenta está centrada en el proceso de generación de conocimientos y verdades a través del currículum familiar, como herramienta pedagógica alternativa para la tejer encuentros con lo vivido. En el trabajo se tomaron como muestras representativas a tres grupos familiares del Estado Sucre, específicamente de la península de Araya: El Rincón, familia Ortiz; Manicuare, familia Pereda; Araya, familia Salazar. A través de este currículum se logra conocer su historia y se observa su comportamiento en varios aspectos de su vivir cotidiano; entre los que se pueden señalar: la preservación de los valores, costumbres, creencias y tradiciones propias de su lar nativo. De igual manera, se toma en cuenta el papel de la educación familiar más allá de los espacios escolarizados y, se logra conocer de estos testimonios vivientes sus sabidurías, calidez y autenticidad; legados dejados, durante el transcurrir de su existencia, como aporte de vivir o haber vivido. Estos aspectos personales, de cada familia en particular, fueron importantes para que el investigador fijara su postura sobre la conceptualización del “currículum familiar”. El estudio es netamente empírico y se enmarca dentro del enfoque cualitativo aplicando dos variantes metodológicas: La fenomenología y las historias de vida; en un estudio etnográfico que combina observación participante y entrevista en profundidad de tipo biográfico. En el trabajo se pone de manifiesto cómo se desarrollan las percepciones de la crianza, la formación, la educación, el trabajo y otras categorías de análisis de mucha importancia de las familias inmersas en el estudio, ligadas con las condiciones y las experiencias de su transitar por la vida. // The research that here is presented is centered in the process of generation of knowledge and truths through the curriculum family, as tool pedagogical alternative for weaving encounters with it lived. In the work is taken as samples representative to three groups family of the State Sucre, specifically of the peninsula of Araya: the corner, family Ortiz; Manicuare, Pereda family; Araya, Salazar family. Through this curriculum is achieved to know its history and shows its behavior in various aspects of his live daily; among those who can point out: the preservation of the values, customs, beliefs and traditions of his native lar. Similarly, the role of the family education beyond school spaces are taken into account, and get know these living testimonies of their wisdom, warmth and authenticity; legacies left during the course of its existence, as a contribution of live or have lived. These personal aspects, each family in particular, were important for the researcher to set its position on the conceptualization of the “family resume”. The study is purely empirical and is part of the qualitative approach by applying two methodological variants: Phenomenology and the life stories; in an ethnographic study that combines observation participant and interview in depth biographical type. At work is made clear how develop perceptions of breeding, training, education, work and other categories of analysis of importance of families involved in the study, linked with the conditions and experiences of its transit through life

Optical sectioning in induced coherence tomography with frequency-entangled photons

We demonstrate a different scheme to perform optical sectioning of a sample based on the concept of induced coherence [Zou et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 67, 318 (1991)]. This can be viewed as a different type of optical coherence tomography scheme where the varying reflectivity of the sample along the direction of propagation of an optical beam translates into changes of the degree of first-order coherence between two beams. As a practical advantage the scheme allows probing the sample with one wavelength and measuring photons with another wavelength. In a bio-imaging scenario, this would result in a deeper penetration into the sample because of probing with longer wavelengths, while still using the optimum wavelength for detection. The scheme proposed here could achieve submicron axial resolution by making use of nonlinear parametric sources with broad spectral bandwidth emission.Comment: Published version. 11 pages, 9 figure

Análisis de viabilidad de una vivienda energéticamente autónoma en Matadepera (Barcelona)

Treballs Finals del Màster d’Energies Renovables i Sostenibilitat Energètica, Facultat de Física, Universitat de Barcelona, Curs: 2015-2016, Tutor: Miguel Villarrubia LópezEl presente estudio trata sobre el dimensionado de una instalación solar fotovoltaica para proveer de energía eléctrica a una vivienda unifamiliar que será construida en la localidad de Matadepera, España; como dato inicial del proyecto se buscó generar la energía eléctrica que necesitaría la vivienda mediante energía eólica, sin embargo este recurso fue desestimado debido al bajo potencial del recurso eólico, posteriormente la energía eléctrica será generada a partir de la irradiación solar incidente la cual demostró que puede ser un recurso viable y disponible para ser aprovechado por la instalación autónoma. Una propuesta de la potencia fotovoltaica a instalar y capacidad de baterías es presentada, como punto importante se menciona que el inversor de corriente fue determinado de manera orientativa debido a la falta de un perfil de demanda de la vivienda, siendo necesario considerar solamente los equipos que requieran un uso cotidiano, el resto de equipos necesitará ser alimentado por un grupo electrógeno de apoyo. Estudios de este tipo ayudan a conocer cuáles son los recursos disponibles para producir electricidad de manera renovable y autónoma con el fin de crear sostenibilidad y responsabilidad ambiental, además de practicar de manera permanente la eficiencia energética durante el diseño, producción y uso de las instalaciones autónomas aisladas de la red

Implicaciones organizativas de la gestión del conocimiento

En la nueva economía, la explotación de las capacidades de cada uno de los miembros de la organización, así como, el aprendizaje y la innovación, los dos elementos básicos para la creación de conocimiento, se han convertido en aspectos fundamentales para determinar cómo una ventaja competitiva se hace sostenible. Por ello, el presente trabajo pretende identificar las condiciones que favorecen el aprendizaje y especifica los cambios, en algunos casos radicales, que deben abordar las empresas para superar la inercia organizativa de los siglos XIX y XX.In the new economy, the exploiration of the capacities of each one of the members of the organization, as well as, the learning and the innovation, the two basic elemenrs for the creation of knowledge, they have become aspects to determine how a competitive advanrage becomes sustainable.
