The news of the “Ethics of the Virtues” of tomas de aquino (1224-1274)

Nesta pesquisa investigou-se como se forma o pensamento ético e moral de Tomás de Aquino desde o agir do homem particular até sua psicologia, vista aqui não de modo científico como atualmente, mas de modo metafísico, o qual abarca um estudo sobre a alma humana. Ora, toda a ação externa do homem não difere de sua estrutura interior, ou seja, suas ações exteriores são reflexos de uma vida interna, uma estrutura constitutiva do próprio ser, que é gerida e governada pelas suas mais altas potências: o intelecto e a vontade. Todas as suas operações andam como que de mãos dadas, sua vida prática nada mais é do que a continuação de seu agir individual e para os outros com quem convive. Assim, este estudo pretende observar o que compõe o agir moral e, depois, um vislumbre da composição da psique desde o ponto de vista tomista, bem como uma correta ordenação das potências anímicas de ordem moral pela consecução do amor como ferramenta ordenadora. Na presente pesquisa adota-se como método a análise das fontes tomasianas mais intimamente ligadas ao tema proposto, principalmente a Suma Teológica e a Suma contra os gentios. A raiz antitomista da modernidade filosófica (2018) que juntamente com A ética das virtudes segundo Tomás de Aquino (2017), o livro De Aristóteles a Freud (2019) e o livro Cosmogonia da desordem: exegese do declínio espiritual do ocidente, do professor Sidney Silveira, compõem o arcabouço teorético deste trabalho. Através desta pesquisa pretende-se verificar a concepção de homem na visão tomasiana e observar, deste modo, como uma antropologia metafísica contribui para se pensar o homem na contemporaneidade bem como indicações de possíveis soluções para um sem número de problemas de ordem psíquica e moral.In this research, it was investigated how Thomas Aquinas' ethical and moral thought is formed from the action of the particular man to his psychology, seen here not in a scientific way as currently, but in a metaphysical way, which includes a study on the human soul . Now, all the external action of man does not differ from his inner structure, that is, his outer actions are reflections of an internal life, a constitutive structure of his own being, which is managed and governed by his highest powers: the intellect and the will. All his operations go hand in hand, his practical life is nothing more than the continuation of his individual action and for others with whom he lives. Thus, this study intends to observe what makes up moral action and, afterwards, a glimpse of the composition of the psyche from the Thomist point of view, as well as a correct ordering of the moral powers of the moral order by achieving love as an ordering tool. In the present research, the analysis of the Thomasian sources most closely linked to the proposed theme is adopted as a method, mainly Summa Theológica and Summa su Gentiles. The antitomist root of philosophical modernity (2018) which together with The ethics of virtues according to Thomas Aquinas (2017), the book From Aristotle to Freud (2019) and the book Cosmogony of disorder: exegesis of the spiritual decline of the west, by Professor Sidney Silveira, make up the theoretical framework of this work. Through this research it is intended to verify the conception of man in the Thomasian view and observe, in this way, how a metaphysical anthropology contributes to thinking about man in contemporary times as well as indications of possible solutions for any number of psychological and moral problems

Assessment of the effects of the expansion of the city of Estarreja on the rational land use

The management of urban environment, together with the preservation of the natural environment and the creation of a sustainable built environment, is a complex challenge for contemporary societies. In the name of progress, cities are contributing for the degradation of all surrounding ecosystems. Therefore there is an arising demand for developing new strategies and a new urban development paradigm settled in the search for the equilibrium between natural and built environments and efficient use of resources. The objective of this paper is to analyse how the urban expansion of the city of Estarreja took place in relation to the land use, based on the land capability classification maps of the area. Based in the results some sustainable development strategies that might be applied to the city are discussed. The obtained results demonstrate that the city has been growing faster then its population, consuming vast portions of land, since its growth as been occurring in a linear form. Despite this fact, results show that most of this expansion took place towards a territory of lower agricultural potential, when comparing to the location of its original settlement

Telefone celular como recurso didático no ensino de física

Currently, there are several factors that suggest the need for the school to review their teaching practices: 1) the speed with which information and communication technologies - ICT are spread throughout society and in particular the increasing use of mobile phone by groups in school age;2) the scope and power of integrating ICT convergence of these technological resources, that can be used as teaching resources; 3) the fact that nowadays students grow up in a technological world and make their thought patterns operating in accordance with this reality, etc... In contrast, there are educators unrelated to the appropriation of ICT, presenting, in many cases, resistance to them. There is a incongruity between how individuals use mobile phones, for example, inside and outside the school. There are also educators, schools, public educational departments claiming to be against mobile phones usage; bills and laws regulating their use in educational space, etc... For these controversial aspects we have investigated whether cell phone use as a teaching resource practices mediator in Physics teaching. For this purpose, we developed an applied research with qualitative and exploratory approach about the objectives, adopting participant and the technical procedures. A documental and bibliographical research was taken. First of all, data were collected by e-mail, through a multiple choice questionnaire applied to private school teachers in southern Brazil, to identify the researched reality and develop teaching practices likely to be applied in the studied corpus. Then, such practices were applied in workshops located in Curitiba and Ponta Grossa cities, in Paraná state. During the application, data was collected by the researcher's field notes. Then, we recorded chats about the workshops from an instant message software (msn messenger), and we took photographic records. Data analysis was performed by triangulation. The results showed the need to enhance continuing education courses for teachers and the production of national academic literature, such as articles, dissertations, theses and books that explore the theme of the cell phone and its functionality in educational spaces as an educational resource mediator in the practices of teaching Physics. They are available in the dissertation defended in 2012, and now are also systematized in this book, organized as a final product of research conducted by the Graduate Program in Science Education and Technology UTFPR, Campus Ponta Grossa-PR.Na atualidade, existem diversos fatores que sugerem a necessidade de a escola rever as suas práticas de ensino: a rapidez com que as tecnologias de informação e comunicação - TIC - se alastram pela sociedade e, em especial, a utilização crescente do telefone celular por faixas etárias em idade escolar; o poder de convergência dessas TIC integrando recursos tecnológicos que podem ser utilizados como recursos didáticos; o fato de os estudantes atuais crescerem em um mundo tecnológico e apresentarem os seus padrões de pensamento funcionando de acordo com essa realidade; etc. Em contrapartida, observam-se: educadores alheios à apropriação de TIC, apresentando, em muitos casos, resistência a elas; um descompasso entre como os sujeitos utilizam o celular, por exemplo, dentro e fora da escola; educadores, escolas, secretarias estaduais de educação posicionando-se contrários ao seu uso; projetos de lei e leis que regulamentam o seu uso no espaço educativo; etc. Por esses aspectos controversos investigou-se o uso do telefone celular como um recurso didático mediador em práticas do ensino de Física. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa aplicada, com abordagem predominantemente qualitativa, de caráter exploratório quanto aos objetivos, e, participante quanto aos procedimentos técnicos adotados. Em seu desenvolvimento, inicialmente, via e-mail, foram coletados dados por meio de um questionário de múltipla escolha aplicados a professores de escolas particulares da Região Sul do Brasil, para identificar a realidade pesquisada e elaborar práticas de ensino possíveis de serem aplicadas na amostra estudada. As práticas construídas, foram aplicadas em oficinas nas cidades de Ponta Grossa e Curitiba, estado do Paraná. Durante a aplicação, a coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de notas de campo do pesquisador, de gravação de sons e de um bate-papo ocorrido nomsn messenger e de registros fotográficos. A análise dos dados foi realizada por triangulação. Os resultados mostraram a necessidade de se intensificar cursos de formação continuada para professores, e aumentar a produção de literatura nacional (artigos, dissertações, teses e livros) que explorem a temática do celular e suas funcionalidades em espaços educativos como recursos didáticos mediadores nas práticas do ensino de Física. Eles encontram-se disponíveis na dissertação defendida em 2012 e, agora, também estão sistematizados neste livro, organizado como produto final da pesquisa desenvolvida junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciência e Tecnologia da UTFPR, Campus Ponta Grossa-PR

World heritage digital library in Portugal: the convent of the order of Christ and the castle of the order of the temple

Creating a Digital Library for the Convent of Christ and for the Templar Castle will gather a vast digital resources with information related to these monuments themselves, and related to themes within them (e.g. Templars, Discoveries) and to similar ones in Portugal and abroad. These resources displayed online in the website of the Convent of Christ can be available through the Europeana. The main objective of the Europeana is to display 2 to 5 million items from different museums and archives by 2010, and our main goal is to contribute significantly to that amount of items. Also with items coming from the other world heritage monasteries classified by Unesco in Portugal. Those contents may be not only architecture plans, manuscripts or photographs, but also publications of different origins today unknown or in dispersed owners. This project promotes better culture understanding, innovation, research and development, tolerance and a new awareness of the common European heritage by having it new and online

SOROPREVALÊNCIA DO VÍRUS DA LEUCOSE ENZOÓTICA BOVINA EM REBANHOS DA REGIÃO SUDOESTE DO ESTADO DO PARANÁ, BRASIL

Em um sistema de produção de leite vários fatores interferem para o sucesso da atividade; a sanidade e o monitoramento de doenças é um dos pontos mais importantes dentro de uma propriedade rural. Um manejo adequado busca realizar a avaliação e prevenção de doenças por meio da sorologia para o monitoramento de doenças. Nesse contexto, foi realizado este estudo em que se identificou a prevalência de Leucose Enzoótica Bovina em rebanhos da região Sudoeste do Paraná. Para isso, foi realizado um levantamento em 10 cidades desta região totalizando 1.706 amostras coletadas oriundas de animais com idade superior a quatro anos direcionados a financiamentos bancários, evitando a coleta de animais já doentes. Ao final do estudo se identificou um número elevado de animais sorologicamente positivos, o que mostra a necessidade de se investir em ferramentas de monitoramento de rebanho, tal como a prevenção da Leucose Enzoótica Bovina.Palavras-chave: Bovinos. Trypanosoma cruzi Adjuvants Potentiate T Cell-Mediated Immunity Induced by a NY-ESO-1 Based Antitumor Vaccine

Immunological adjuvants that induce T cell-mediate immunity (TCMI) with the least side effects are needed for the development of human vaccines. Glycoinositolphospholipids (GIPL) and CpGs oligodeoxynucleotides (CpG ODNs) derived from the protozoa parasite Trypanosoma cruzi induce potent pro-inflammatory reaction through activation of Toll-Like Receptor (TLR)4 and TLR9, respectively. Here, using mouse models, we tested the T. cruzi derived TLR agonists as immunological adjuvants in an antitumor vaccine. For comparison, we used well-established TLR agonists, such as the bacterial derived monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL), lipopeptide (Pam3Cys), and CpG ODN. All tested TLR agonists were comparable to induce antibody responses, whereas significant differences were noticed in their ability to elicit CD4+ T and CD8+ T cell responses. In particular, both GIPLs (GTH, and GY) and CpG ODNs (B344, B297 and B128) derived from T. cruzi elicited interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production by CD4+ T cells. On the other hand, the parasite derived CpG ODNs, but not GIPLs, elicited a potent IFN-γ response by CD8+ T lymphocytes. The side effects were also evaluated by local pain (hypernociception). The intensity of hypernociception induced by vaccination was alleviated by administration of an analgesic drug without affecting protective immunity. Finally, the level of protective immunity against the NY-ESO-1 expressing melanoma was associated with the magnitude of both CD4+ T and CD8+ T cell responses elicited by a specific immunological adjuvant
