Grammar Variational Autoencoder
Deep generative models have been wildly successful at learning coherent
latent representations for continuous data such as video and audio. However,
generative modeling of discrete data such as arithmetic expressions and
molecular structures still poses significant challenges. Crucially,
state-of-the-art methods often produce outputs that are not valid. We make the
key observation that frequently, discrete data can be represented as a parse
tree from a context-free grammar. We propose a variational autoencoder which
encodes and decodes directly to and from these parse trees, ensuring the
generated outputs are always valid. Surprisingly, we show that not only does
our model more often generate valid outputs, it also learns a more coherent
latent space in which nearby points decode to similar discrete outputs. We
demonstrate the effectiveness of our learned models by showing their improved
performance in Bayesian optimization for symbolic regression and molecular
synthesis
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTION: INDUCTION PROGRAM
The following dissertation aims to demonstrate if the lack of an induction process for employees in a marine industry company hinders their productivity. Also, an induction program is presented as an intervention proposal of organization development, on the premise that this program is a first step in the solving of the existing low productivity problem. By means of observation and casual interviews with the employees as research methods, it was found that the studied company personnel never went through a formal induction process and thereby, have many knowledge gaps that hinder their performance and that can be resolved by an induction program for employees.
Fracturación y control tectosedimentario neógeno en el borde sureste de la Cuenca de Lorca
En este trabajo se estudia el control tectosedimentario ejercido por la fracturación neógena en la sedimentación en el borde suroriental de la Cuenca de Larca. El control más importante está impuesto por la actividad del Corredor Tectónico de la Falla de Alhama de Murcia. Este corredor controló la formación del borde sur de la citada cuenca a través de movimientos de carácter normal que activaron el inicio del depósito mioceno. Durante el Tortoniense y el Messiniense la cinemática sinestral e inversa del corredor controla la formación del anticlinal que estructura la Sierra de La Tercia y provoca reactivaciones de procesos erosivos en áreas emergidas
