MHRD’S INITIATIVE IIC CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS INNOVATION IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS DURING COVID 19

Innovation is the word which means new idea, creative thought, and practical implementation of invention. The MHRD initiative IIC is helpful for the students to learn entrepreneurship skills in their initial years of graduation and nurture them till completion of their qualification. The innovation cell of higher educational institutions will enhance the skills, aptitude of the students and prepare them for future endeavors. The main motive of MIC Innovation Cell is to inspire, persuade and cherish young and talented students to work with innovative thoughts and convert their ideas into prototypes and cherish their work. The e-sessions by the IIC-Institutes will overcome the need for physical innovation cell activities which is impossible in current situation due to COVID-19 pandemic. The quarter 3 and 4 have been merged into one period because of ongoing pandemic i.e., one complete semester and all IIC institutes have to report accordingly for the scores and star ratings. The e-sessions by IIC institutes have been successful and gathered appreciation from students and faculty members. There is a growing awareness that entrepreneurial outlook, which combines inventiveness, a sense of initiative, predicament solving, vagueness tolerance and financial and technological knowledge in formal education for benefit of individuals and society. The MHRD initiative of IIC will enable the foundation of robust modernization and Start up ecosystem across all HEIs

PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN GLOBAL DAN ELEMENTER TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN TEKNIK BATTING (MEMUKUL BOLA) ATLET CRICKET UNIVERSITAS NEGERI PADANG

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet Cricket Universitas Negeri Padang masih melakukan   kesalahan dalam  batting (memukul bola), Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknik batting adalah dengan pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  keterampilan  teknik  batting (memukul  bola)  dengan cara menggunakan metode pembelajaran global dan  elementer.  Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen semu (Quasy Experiment). Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah atlet Cricket Universitas Negeri Padang yang berjumlah 30 orang. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive Sampling, maka sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 16 atlet junior putra. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji t Dependent dan Independent Variable.             Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Metode pembelajaran global memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan  teknik  batting atlet Cricket Universitas Negeri Padang, terbukti rata-rata tes awal (17.25) dan  rata-rata tes akhir menjadi (32. 75) dengan  t hitung  (8,41) > t table (2,36) pada α = 0,05. (2) Metode pembelajaran elementer memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan  teknik  batting atlet Cricket Universitas Negeri Padang terbukti rata-rata tes awal (17.75) dan  rata-rata tes akhir menjadi (37.25) dengan  t hitung (7,04) > t table (2,36) pada α = 0,05. (3) Metode elementer  tidak lebih efektif dari metode global terhadap peningkatan keterampilan  teknik  batting atlet Cricket Universitas Negeri Padang terbukti rata-rata metode global (32.75) dan rata-rata metode elementer (37.25) dengan t hitung (1,09) < t table (2,36)  pada α = 0,05.      Kata Kunci  : Metode Pembelajaran Global, Metode Pembelajaran Elementer, Teknik Battin

Genes as Markers of Sex for Forensic Entomology

Calliphoridae is a large family of insects, and contains species Lucilia sericata (Diptera: Calliphoridae) (Meigen), Cochliomyia macellaria (Diptera: Calliphoridae) (Fabricius) and Chrysomya rufifacies (Diptera: Calliphoridae) (Macquart). These species are important medically and economically, and are commonly used in forensic investigations. In forensics, development data for species is used to predict time of colonization (TOC) estimates. However, there is sexual dimorphism in blow fly development and it is poorly understood. The difference in physical traits, as well as gene expression, may result in development disparities between sexes. For this reason, it is important to optimize a sex identification assay to aide in predicting more accurate TOC intervals for L. sericata, C. macellaria and C. rufifacies. Sex determination is an important assignment made in development. In the case of calliphorids, most undergo transformer (tra) splicing and resulting doublesex (dsx) splicing gives rise to downstream sex-specific characteristics. This may cause differing development in males and females leading to imprecise TOC estimates when not accounted for. Using known primer sets for tra and dsx, an assay for sex identification can be optimized. The newfound information on sex, in combination with published transcriptomes, can result in sex-specific interpretation of gene expression, yielding more accurate data sets for species

e-RUPI: A Purpose Specific Digital Voucher

e-RUPI is an advanced online resolution that has been launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Authority, and partner banks. It is just like a prepaid voucher that can be used by users to redeem an amount without a card, online payment application, or without accessing internet banking services. The present learning has explored the existing literature and aimed to discuss the merits and demerits of this emerging prepaid voucher, in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been found that the e-RUPI initiative of the Modi government will be fruitful for the beneficiaries as they will receive a direct benefit. It will be reliable and secure for both companies and customers. It suffers from ICT-related risks such as cyber fraud, hacking, lack of efficiency, and attitude of people towards adoption of this new resolution

A Study on Police Accountability and Custodial Violence in India

The present study aims to critically analyse the cases of custodial violence in the nation and also crucially examine the reasons of custodial deaths in India. The study attempted to enrich the existing literature on “A Study on police accountability and custodial violence in India”. In the study, the custodial violence has been divided into three categories namely physical, sexual and psychological. Various reasons have been encountered for the custodial deaths such as suicide, death due to treatment in the hospital, injuries sustained prior to custody, physical assault by police, while escaping from custody, road accidents connected with the journey etc. The study gives various recommendations to improve the police administration and foster the need for reforms in the working of police officials

Public Interest Litigation is the powerful weapon of civil justice for the weaker and deprived section of the society. The main purpose of the PILs is to establish good structure of governance where interest of very section is protected.
