    Motor Energy Management Based on Non-Intrusive Monitoring Technology and Wireless Sensor Networks

    This paper proposes a motor energy management architecture, which is composed of a data acquisition platform, a condition monitoring platform, an energy consumption and saving analysis platform, a communication platform, and a motor energy data management platform. Under the guidance of the architecture, an in-service motor monitoring and energy management system is developed based on non intrusive monitoring technologies and wireless sensor networks. The system has two subsystems: a data acquiring and analysis subsystem, and a condition monitoring and energy management subsystem. To evaluate the in-service motor energy usage, motor efficiency estimation methods are discussed. And a motor monitoring front-end device is developed with the implement of the methods introduced. The device is designed as three separate units, including a sensing unit, a processing unit, and a communication unit. Such a flexible design could meet various requirements in the application. The wireless sensor network is a self-organized network with dynamic topology. As a lowcost, robust, and reliable communication network, it is used to connect the front-end devices with the central supervisory station. A WSN node is designed and implemented for the inservice motor monitoring system, which can also be used as a unit of the front-end device. The laboratory tests and plant application show that the system can help the plant managers to improve motor-driven systems

    SelfNeRF: Fast Training NeRF for Human from Monocular Self-rotating Video

    In this paper, we propose SelfNeRF, an efficient neural radiance field based novel view synthesis method for human performance. Given monocular self-rotating videos of human performers, SelfNeRF can train from scratch and achieve high-fidelity results in about twenty minutes. Some recent works have utilized the neural radiance field for dynamic human reconstruction. However, most of these methods need multi-view inputs and require hours of training, making it still difficult for practical use. To address this challenging problem, we introduce a surface-relative representation based on multi-resolution hash encoding that can greatly improve the training speed and aggregate inter-frame information. Extensive experimental results on several different datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of SelfNeRF to challenging monocular videos.Comment: Project page: https://ustc3dv.github.io/SelfNeR

    IntrinsicNGP: Intrinsic Coordinate based Hash Encoding for Human NeRF

    Recently, many works have been proposed to utilize the neural radiance field for novel view synthesis of human performers. However, most of these methods require hours of training, making them difficult for practical use. To address this challenging problem, we propose IntrinsicNGP, which can train from scratch and achieve high-fidelity results in few minutes with videos of a human performer. To achieve this target, we introduce a continuous and optimizable intrinsic coordinate rather than the original explicit Euclidean coordinate in the hash encoding module of instant-NGP. With this novel intrinsic coordinate, IntrinsicNGP can aggregate inter-frame information for dynamic objects with the help of proxy geometry shapes. Moreover, the results trained with the given rough geometry shapes can be further refined with an optimizable offset field based on the intrinsic coordinate.Extensive experimental results on several datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of IntrinsicNGP.     Association of TyG index with prehypertension or hypertension: a retrospective study in Japanese normoglycemia subjects

    AimThe objective of our study was to investigate the potential association between the triglyceride and glucose (TyG) index and the occurrence of prehypertension or hypertension in a cohort of normoglycemic Japanese subjects.MethodsThe NAGALA physical examination program was conducted in 1994 at Murakami Memorial Hospital in Gifu City, Japan. For our retrospective study, we selected 15,450 participants who had taken part in this program. Our aim was to explore the potential link between the TyG index, a surrogate marker for insulin resistance, and the presence of prehypertension (pre-HTN) or hypertension (HTN). Our analysis included adjustments for clinical demographic attributes and serum biomarkers. Logistic regression was employed to assess the relationship between the TyG index and the likelihood of pre-HTN or HTN.ResultsA total of 15,450 study subjects were included in our analysis. Notably, the prevalence of both pre-HTN and HTN displayed an ascending trend with increasing quartiles of the TyG index. In our comprehensive multivariable logistic regression analysis, when evaluating TyG as a continuous variable, the adjusted odds ratio (OR) for pre-HTN was OR 1.31 [95% CI 1.11-1.56], while for HTN, it was OR 1.76 [95% CI 1.24-2.5] within the fully adjusted model (model 3). When TyG was stratified into quartiles within model 3, the adjusted ORs for pre-HTN were OR 1.16 [95% CI 1.02-1.31], OR 1.22 [95% CI 1.06-1.41], and OR 1.31 [95% CI 1.08-1.59], respectively, using quartile 1 as the reference. The adjusted ORs for HTN in quartiles 2, 3, and 4 were OR 1.22 [95% CI 0.89-1.66], OR 1.4 [95% CI 1.02-1.91], and OR 1.48 [95% CI 1.02-2.15], respectively, within the same model and analysis, with quartile 1 as the reference. Subgroup analysis indicated that the TyG index exhibited a significant positive correlation with the risk of hypertension or prehypertension, except in the subgroup aged ≥65 years.ConclusionOur study highlights a robust correlation between the TyG index and the likelihood of pre-HTN or HTN in normoglycemic Japanese subjects. This underscores the potential clinical relevance of the TyG index in refining early hypertension management strategies. Nonetheless, the validation of these findings necessitates larger studies with extended follow-up periods

    Sr-Nd isotopic geochemistry of Holocene sediments from the South Yellow Sea: Implications for provenance and monsoon variability

    Elemental geochemical and Sr-Nd isotopic signatures are used to decipher terrigenous sediments provenances and transport mechanisms in the South Yellow Sea during the Holocene. Sr-87/Sr-86 ratios in the Chinese and Korean riverine sediments overlap each other, whereas epsilon Nd values of Korean riverine sediments are generally less radiogenic in comparison to the Changjiang and Huanghe. Moreover, eNd values of these two large rivers appear unaffected by mineral sorting and are relative stable during the Holocene. We propose a three end-members (i.e., the Changjiang, the Huanghe, and Korean rivers) mixing model to explain sediment provenances in the Central Yellow Sea Mud (CYSM). Mixing calculations show that the Huanghe is the major sediment contributor to the CYSM before similar to 8 ka (thousand years before 1950 CE), whereas the Changjiang has become the predominant sediment source after similar to 8 ka. Holocene changes in riverine sediment supplies to the CYSM are closely related to the oceanic circulation, monsoon climate, and drainage changes. After examining several hypotheses to explain the variations in Sr-87/Sr-86 ratios of Core YSC-1 during the past similar to 8 kyr, we tentatively attribute that to changes in the erosion patterns of the Changjiang Basin. This in turn is associated with the asynchronous evolution of monsoon precipitation in the upper (Indian Summer Monsoon) and middle-lower Changjiang (East Asian Summer Monsoon). Therefore, our results highlight significant influences of monsoon climate on erosion patterns within the Changjiang catchment at millennial timescales

    Combining meta-QTL with RNA-seq data to identify candidate genes of kernel row number trait in maize

    Kernel row number is an important component of grain yield in maize. With development of classical quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping and modern RNA-seq, numerous QTL and tissue-specific gene expression data were accumulated in previous studies. In this paper, a total of initial 373 QTL for grain yield (GY) and kernel row number (KRN) were collected based on 29 previous literatures. Fifty-four meta-QTL (MQTL) were detected via the meta-analysis method with IBM2 2008 Neighbors as a reference map, including 19 for GY and 35 for KRN. These MQTL were unevenly distributed on all 10 chromosomes. Chromosome 1 harbored the most initial QTL and MQTL, and chromosome 7 contained the least. Three MQTL for KRN have been overlapped with MQTL for GY on chromosomes 1 and 3. A total of 1,588 (46.07%) out of 3,447 genes located in the KRN MQTL regions were identified by gene expression data, and categorized into 101 significant GO terms. Meanwhile, six candidate genes were identified from MQTL regions, which are homologous to three functionally characterized genes found to participate in plant inflorescence development. The identified MQTL could be applied to marker-assisted selection (MAS) to facilitate yield architecture, QTL fine mapping and gene cloning in the maize community. Furthermore, the identified candidate genes could enhance the selection efficiency by MAS directly, and could illuminate molecular mechanisms of grain yield in maize
