    The Effects of Methionine on Paracetamol Induce Live Injury –Hepatomegaly- (Animal Study)

    This study which was done for a total (45) mice, over a time of 30 days, reflects that paracetamol overdoses causing hepatic enlargement with high significant results (P<0.0001), although combined together with Methionine and by the same intra-gastric route of administration, with no any hepatoprotective effectiveness of Methionine, that there is no significant results (P=0.1566).Also this study reflects; that there were no any effect of Methionine on the ratio of the liver wt. / body wt. of the mice, in which the (P=0.1668 "no significant results), against paracetamol over-doses induce hepatomegaly, while paracetamol was highly significant (P=0.0001) on this ratio, when compared with control group.     Anatomy and Physiology of Knee Stability

    Knee instability has been the focus of large number of studies over the last decade; however, a high incidence rate of injury still exists. The aim of this short report is to examine knee joint anatomy and physiology with respect to knee stability. Knee joint stability requires the integration of a complex set of anatomical structures and physiological mechanism. Compromising any of these structures leads to destabilisation and increased risk of injuries. This review highlights the structure and soft tissue of the knee that contribute to its stability and function.     Some of physical properties of polyvinyl alcohol dissolves in distilled water had been studied before and after adding different weights of copper (II) chloride (CuCl2), the Rheological properties shows that the densities variation are intangible and shear viscosity are responsible for reducing velocity, bulk modulus and transmittance the absorption coefficient of ultrasonic waves and relaxation amplitude are increasing with adding copper (II) chloride because there will be more molecules in solution and this lead to more attenuation against wave propagation.     The oscar, Astronotus ocellatus (Agassiz, 1831) (Cichlidae): a deliberate aquarium trade introduction in the Euphrates River, Iraq

    The first record of a single specimen of oscar, Astronotus ocellatus, native to Amazon basin of Peru, Colombia and Brazil, is reported from the inland waters of Iraq. The specimen was caught from one of the branches of the Euphrates River to the east of the Barnun city, ca. 5 km to the NW of Hilla city in Babylon Province in central Iraq in December 2021 using rod and line. The capture of a sub-adult specimen, 186.7 mm in total length, indicates the first record of another aquarium fish species in the freshwater system of Iraq. The aquarium trade pathway is the suspected factor for the presence of this species in the Iraqi freshwater area

    Background: Radiation therapy with ionizing radiation is associated with an increased risk of salivary gland cancer and xerostomia due to an abnormally high expression of the regulatory protein calponin. PCNA is a cofactor for DNA polymerase-delta and is involved in cell proliferation.Methods: This study evaluated the anti-calponin and anti-PCNA immunohistochemical reactivity in the parotid salivary glands of mice after frequent exposure to dental X-ray.Results: The results showed that exposure to radiation causes marked differences in PCNA reactivity. Radiation therapy has a significant impact on salivary glands, particularly on myoepithelial cells.Conclusion: The exposure to radiation can cause Dental X-ray exposure increases the risk of developing cancer and other health problems due to damage to DNA and inflammatory destruction and further research is needed to mitigate these effects and improve patient outcomes

    Enhancement of Image Transmission Using Chaotic Interleaver over Wireless Sensor Network

    The wireless sensor networks different from classic wired networks, WMSN differs from other scalar network mainly nature and size of data transmitted, memory resources, and power consumption in each node for processing and transmission. The images broadcasting over wireless multimedia sensor networks that can be used in IEEE 802.15.4 (Zig-Bee) for short-range multimedia transmissions. In this paper a strong interleaver mechanism prepared to reduce or immune a burst error of network , this can be done by applying the chaotic interleaving on the pixel, bit ,and chip. The enhancement simulation for bit error rate and peak signal to noise rationnbsp by transceiver image cameraman though AWGN and Rayleigh fadingnbsp channels are displayed. While transmitting the image by 20 dB signal to noise ratio on the Rayleigh fading channel, an improvement on the peak signal to noise ratio of the received image from 25.9 dB to 78.4 dB can be observed

    Investigation of the Effect of Addition Nano-papyrus Cane on the Mechanical Properties of Concrete

    This paper investigates the effect of nano-papyrus cane ash as an additive on concretes’ mechanical and physical properties. Three types of concrete mixtures, 1:2:4, 1:1.5:3, and 1:1:2 were prepared for each mixture, nano-papyrus ash was added in five different dosages of 0.75, 1.5, 3, 4.5, and 6% by weight of cement; therefore, eighteen mixes would be studied in this work. Physical properties represented by dry density and slump were also measured for each mix. Moreover, to evaluate the mechanical properties development split tensile strength and compressive strength were obtained at age (7 and 28). Results manifested that the adding of nano ash developed the compressive strength and split tensile strength of concrete and the maximum enhancement recognized in the mixes with a content of 4.5% nano-papyrus in each studied mixture in this work. The slump test results indicated that the workability of concrete increased with adding nano-papyrus ash gradually with increasing nanoparticles' content. As well as, dry density was significant increased with nano-papyrus ratio; greater values were recorded in mixtures with 1.5-4.5% content of nano-papyrus. When comparing the concrete mixes used, it was found that the best results were obtained with 1:1:2 mixtures. This remarkable improvement in concrete properties considers the nano-papyrus is considered a cement economical and useful replacement for traditional construction material. Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091649 Full Text: PD
