Pedagogy and literary education in children’s press: the newspaper El mundo de los niños (1887-1891)

En este artículo se analiza el periódico infantil El mundo de los niños (Madrid, 1887-1891) desde un punto de vista pedagógico y literario. Se estudia su orientación educativa en atención a los sistemas vigentes en la época y se confronta el argumentario teórico con las propuestas reales publicadas a lo largo del periódico. También se incide en el concepto de literatura infantil que se trasluce de las propuestas ofrecidas a los lectores y los modelos que se privilegian en los diferentes números. El artículo dedica también una sección a rastrear las referencias que se ocupan de la dignificación de la figura del maestro en el contexto social y económico de la España de la época. Este examen evidencia la coexistencia en la prensa especializada de la época de ideas pedagógicas renovadoras con otras de corte tradicional.This paper discusses the children’s newspaper El mundo de los niños (Madrid, 1887-1891) from an educational and literary point of view. Its educational orientation concerning systems that were present during that period is studied. It also confronts the theoretic argumentation with real proposals published along the existence of the newspaper. Additionally, the paper refers to the concept of children’s literature that is revealed from suggestions offered to the readers and the models that benefit from the newspaper’s issues. The article also devotes a section to tracking the references to the figure of the teacher in the social and economic context of the XIX. Innovative solutions for intersection of TBM tunnel and station in Riyadh Line 5 metro

One of the main problems when constructing a metro line using a tunnel boring machine (TBM) is the coordination of the construction of the tunnel with the excavation of the stations that it will intersect, being possible to reach the stations before their complete excavation. This paper presents a solution to this problem, one which has been implemented in the Riyadh Metro L5. Plan de negocio para cultivo de microalga Arthrospira Platensis como aditivo alimenticio para pollos de engorde

Actualmente en Per? no se adiciona a la dieta de los pollos la microalga Arthrospira Platensis, m?s conocida como la espirulina, a pesar de que sus bondades son conocidas en otras partes del mundo, tales como India, Egipto y Bangladesh. El plan de negocio plasmado en este documento propone la producci?n y comercializaci?n de espirulina dirigida al segmento de las empresas av?colas medianas, con una relaci?n costo/beneficio favorable para estas, quienes operan en una industria sumamente competitiva en donde todos los actores buscan oportunidades de ahorro de costos y/o maximizaci?n de ingresos. Es por esta oportunidad de negocio, que se decide evaluar la viabilidad comercial, t?cnica y econ?mica para la puesta en marcha de una operaci?n de cultivo, cosecha, secado, empaquetado y comercializaci?n de espirulina, como aditivo alimenticio de pollos de carne de Lima Metropolitana y Callao. Palladium-mediated C-N, C-C, and C-O functionalization of azolopyrimidines: a new total synthesis of variolin B

A new total synthesis of the alkaloid variolin B is achieved by a selective and sequential palladium-mediated functionalization of a\ud trihalo-substituted pyrido[30\ud ,20\ud :4,5]pyrrolo[1,2-c]pyrimidine. This intermediate is obtained by a new heterocyclization reaction between\ud an appropriate bromomethyl azaindole and N-tosylmethyl dichloroformimide. Isang patuloy na hamon sa wikang Filipino at sa mga gumagamit nito sa panahon ng pandemya ang pagpapayabong ng kultura ng saliksik. Sa kabila ng iba’t ibang modalidad ng pagkatuto ng mag-aaral, tinukoy ng pag-aaral na ito ang mga paraan ng guro sa pagtuturo ng Pananaliksik gayundin naitala ang kanilang karanasan at natukoy ang hamon at suliranin na kanilang kinaharap. Penomenolohikal na pagsusuri ang disenyong ginamit sa pag-aaral na tumuon sa pagsukat at pag-aanalisang tematiko ng mga tugon. Inilahad ng pag-aaral na ito na malaking suliranin ng guro at mag-aaral ang mahinang koneksyon ng internet, subalit nagampanan pa rin ng bawat isa ang kani-kanilang tungkulin; ang maghatid ng impormasyon sa bahagi ng guro at unawain ang mga ito sa panig naman ng mag-aaral nang sa ganoon ay makabuo ng papel-pampananaliksik sa wikang Filipino. Downstream processing of Isochrysis galbana: a step towards microalgal biorefinery

An algae-based biorefinery relies on the efficient use of algae biomass through its fractionation of several valuable/bioactive compounds that can be used in industry. If this biorefinery includes green platforms as downstream processing technologies able to fulfill the requirements of green chemistry, it will end-up with sustainable processes. In the present study, a downstream processing platform has been developed to extract bioactive compounds from the microalga Isochrysis galbana using various pressurized green solvents. Extractions were performed in four sequential steps using (1) supercritical CO2 (ScCO2), (2) ScCO2/ethanol (Gas Expanded Liquid, GXL), (3) pure ethanol, and (4) pure water as solvents, respectively. The residue of the extraction step was used as the raw material for the next extraction. Optimization of the ScCO2 extraction was performed by factorial design in order to maximize carotenoid extraction. During the second step, different percentages of ethanol were evaluated (15%, 45% and 75%) in order to maximize the extraction yield of fucoxanthin, the main carotenoid present in this alga; the extraction of polar lipids was also an aim. The third and fourth steps were performed with the objective of recovering fractions with high antioxidant activity, eventually rich in carbohydrates and proteins. The green downstream platform developed in this study produced different extracts with potential for application in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Explotaci?n del carb?n antracita : viabilidad del yacimiento Huayday-Ambara

En el departamento de la Libertad, se hallan importantes reservas de carb?n del tipo antracita, las cuales se exportan y comercializan de forma artesanal; sin embargo, se estima que existen reservas por m?s de 270 millones de toneladas de dicho mineral, lo que representa m?s del 35% de las reservas totales del pa?s. Debido a su poder calor?fico y otras caracter?sticas, este tipo de carb?n se convierte en un insumo ideal para las industrias sider?rgica y cementera. De ah? que este mineral tiene un mercado local e internacional en expansi?n, que se manifiesta en el continuo inter?s de compradores extranjeros por el producto; por tanto, puede suponerse que es rentable. Entonces, ?por qu? no existe una industria carbon?fera desarrollada en el mencionado departamento? Con el fin de responder esta interrogante, en el presente libro se analiza la cadena de valor de la explotaci?n del carb?n antracita en la zona; la manera como se desarrolla y se comercializa; los factores cr?ticos para el desarrollo de una industria minera de explotaci?n; y la viabilidad econ?mica de una explotaci?n rentable del carb?n antracita para un probable proyecto minero en el yacimiento de Huayday-Ambara, que ser?a licitado por la Agencia de Promoci?n de la Inversi?n Privada (ProInversi?n)

Drivers of stream-living brown trout populations in Spain: An assessment at a large geographical scale

A declining trend in the brown trout (Salmo trutta) abundance has been observed in several datasets available. Quantitative data from 723 stream sites (3915 occasions) provided by a consortium of fisheries authorities and simultaneously collected explanatory variables (hydrology, temperature, impacts and pressures, geology, physiography and angling activity) were analyzed to answer the following issues: (1) what factors drive temporal variability in brown trout abundance? (2) Do human-induced alterations affect sites where declining populations have been observed? and (3) in which proportion of the study sites temporal abundance of brown trout concur with potential driving factors?. Results provide no evidence of density-dependent recruitment regulation, but a recruitment limitation due to hydrological (mostly) and thermal (less consistent) events. Decreasing abundance was observed in one third of the sampling sites concurrent with hydrological and thermal drivers. No evidence of human-induced alterations apparently drive the observed patterns. Nevertheless, the realized carrying capacity appears significantly (p<0.05) lower in impacted than in unimpaired sites. Moreover, populations in impacted sites show significantly higher recruitment and mortality rates, behaving like artificially 'accelerated' populations. In the impacted sites, populations are more volatile, and most likely due to their limited carrying capacity these sites appear prone to reach ?viability thresholds? during episodes of stochastic fluctuations or naturally-driven abundance trends. According to global change predictions, these effects are likely to remain over time or even intensify within the large scale geographical scales assessed

Nuevas perspectivas en la didáctica de la literatura infantil y juvenil: booktuber y booktrailer

La red 3503 del curso 2015-2016 propuso nuevas posibilidades de actuación para la didáctica de la literatura infantil y juvenil en las aulas de la Facultad de Educación a través de distintos conceptos: inclusión, género, interculturalidad, narrativas transmedia… que ampliaban las expectativas de la misma. Aunque se han realizado distintas actividades en estos ámbitos, ha vuelto a ser el concepto de LIJ 2.0 (Literatura y Lectura Infantil y Juvenil en la Web Social) el elemento principal de nuestra propuesta, siendo Internet el eje central de este trabajo, como un instrumento central en la innovación educativa. El Booktuber y el Booktrailer, dos formatos audiovisuales relacionados con la lectura, son los ejes centrales de la misma. En esta memoria se presentan los resultados en tres asignaturas del área de didáctica de la lengua y la literatura española. El siguiente trabajo quiere hacer una descripción de ambos conceptos, planteando sus ventajas e inconvenientes y sobre todo las múltiples posibilidades de implantación en el ámbito didáctico para trabajar la comprensión lectora. Para ello mostrará distintos ejemplos de buenas prácticas de ambas dinámicas realizadas en nuestra universidad para comprobar que estos productos digitales son un apoyo idóneo para el desarrollo del hábito lector en el alumnado
