katedra: KPP; přílohy: CD; rozsah: 64 s. (96 873 znaků)The bachelor's thesis High ropes from the perspective of participants analyses participants interpretation of their experience with the high ropes program, then how much significant they think those experiences are and how their feelings are changing before and after the program. The theoretical part is focused on defining high ropes, introducing experiential learning and the most valuable worldwide plus Czech organization, afterwards there are chapters about safety issues and the most common high ropes obstacles. The research part recognizes mentioned interpretation of participants, which is found out by qualitative research method. The most important categories affecting the experience and the main phenomenon - management of fear are gotten by data analysis. V rámci teoretické části dochází k vymezení pojmu vysokých lan, seznámení s učením skrze zážitek, představení nejdůležitějších světových i českých organizací a dále je zde prostor věnován bezpečnosti a nejčastějším překážkám. Výzkumná část se pak soustřeďuje na zmíněnou interpretaci účastníků, kterou zjišťuje kvalitativní metodou. Analýzou získaných dat pak formuje nejdůležitější kategorie ovlivňující zkušenost účastníků a určuje hlavní fenomén - management strachu

The synergic effect of whey-based hydrogel amendment on soil water holding capacity and availability of nutrients for more efficient valorization of dairy by-products

Agricultural production is influenced by the water content in the soil and the availability of nutrients. Recently, changes in the quantity and seasonal water availability are expected to impact agriculture due to climate change. This study aimed to test an agricultural product with promising properties to improve soil quality and water-holding capacity during agricultural application. Most of the traditional hydrogels are low-biodegradable synthetic materials with under-researched long-term fate in field soil conditions. The novel, biodegradable hydrogel made from acid whey and cellulose derivatives cross-linked with citric acid was used. The soil-improving effects were tested under controlled experimental conditions with the sandy artificial soil consisting of 10% finely ground sphagnum peat, 20% kaolinite clay, and 70% quartz sand. Soil pH, the content of organic carbon (Cox), total nitrogen (N), available forms of the essential macronutrients (P, K, Ca, and Mg), the cation exchange capacity (CEC), the maximum water capacity (MWC) and water holding capacity (WHC) were determined. The results showed a positive effect on water retention and basic soil properties after the different levels of hydrogel had been introduced into the soil. Generally, the addition of whey-based hydrogel increases the available nutrients concentration and water retention in soil. © 2021 by the authors. Assessing the effects of whey hydrogel on nutrient stability in soil and yield of leucosinapis alba and hordeum vulgare

Agriculture and related crop production are highly dependent on climate and economic factors, and agricultural intensification is associated with a dramatic increase in the consumption of fertilizers. A significant amount of the elements from the most commonly used fertilizers is degraded and lost due to climatic and environmental factors. The soil application of novel whey-based hydrogel represents an innovative approach toward efficient fertilizing and soil water balance that resonates with the concepts of sustainable agriculture and circular economy of waste products. Results of previous research show the positive effect of whey-based hydrogel on water retention after the various levels of hydrogel have been applied into artificial soil. With a view to verifying the effect of the whey hydrogel on soil quality and related crop cultivation in real conditions, the pot experiment compared two different doses of whey hydrogel with control soil, with the conventional NPK treatment of soil and with a mixing strategy combining the conventional NPK treatment with hydrogel application. The controlled pot experiment was conducted with haplic Cambisol, with white mustard (Leucosinapis alba) and spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) as the testing crops. Soil pH, organic carbon (C), total nitrogen (N), available forms of the essential macronutrients (P, K, Ca, and Mg), and the cation exchange capacity (CEC) were determined in Cambisol samples before and after the experiment. The crop yields of barley and mustard were compared among the various treatments of experimental soils. Results demonstrated that the amendment of whey-based hydrogel increased the bioavailable nutrients’ concentrations, which persisted even after the harvest. The nutritional quick boost after the whey-based (co)-application significantly increased the experimental crop yield.Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Project, (MZE-RO0223, QK1910392

Isolation and thermal stabilization of bacteriocin nisin derived from whey for antimicrobial modifications of polymers

    Get PDF
This work describes novel alternative for extraction of bacteriocin nisin from a whey fermentation media and its stabilization by using polyethylene glycol as matrix with high practical applicability. This product was compared with commercially available nisin product stabilized by sodium chloride and nisin extracted and stabilized by using ammonium sulfate and polysorbate 80. The stability of samples was tested by means of long-term storage at -18, 4, 25, and 55 degrees C up to 165 days. The nisin content in the samples was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography and electrophoresis. In addition, effect of whey fortification with lactose on nisin production and antibacterial activity studied against Staphylococcus aureus was tested. Results show that stabilization by polyethylene glycol provides enhanced nisin activity at 55 degrees C after 14 days and long-term stability at 25 degrees C with keeping antibacterial activity.Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic [QJ1310254]; Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic [LO1504]; Internal Grant Agency of Tomas Bata University in Zlin [IGA/CPS/2017/005]QJ1310254, MZe, Ministerstvo Zemědělství; LO1504, MEYS, Ministry of Education, Youth and Science; IGA/CPS/2017/00

Armed conflicts in India - geographical aspects and factors This thesis is focused on the geographical aspects and factors of armed conflicts in India. The main aim is to describe a typology of these particular conflicts in India after the country gained independence in 1947. It also deals with the characteristics of their cause and spread. The author also stresses the historical influence and cultural heritage of the longstanding British colonial supremacy in India. Other aspects are also studied, such as the great cultural heterogeneity of the Indian population, in terms of religion, ethnic, linguistic and social-economic differences among Indian regions. The first chapter deals with historical conflicts related to specific conditions of the forming of the new state on an unstable Indian subcontinent. These conflicts are also related to the consolidation of Indian territory after gaining independence, to the administrative development of India and international relations with the surrounding states. The second and more extensive part focuses on current armed conflicts, that are divided in four basic cathegories - separationist movement in the federate state of Jammu and Kashmir; separationist and religious movement in North-east India; terrorism supported by maoist ideology in tropical rain..
