Nowadays, the use of computers to evaluate medical images automatically is critical part of the life. Today's treatment method relies heavily on early diagnosis and accurate disease identification, which were formerly difficult for medical research to achieve. Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is essential to the detection and treatment of brain tumor (BT). Tumor of the brain are the result of brain cell division that has gone awry or is otherwise out of control. The manual MRI segmentation of BT is a difficult and time-consuming process. The most critical factor in the effective treatment and identification of BT is the ability to accurately locate the tumor. The detection of BT is regarded as a difficult task in medical image processing. For analysing and interpreting MRI, there are semi-automatic and fully automated systems that require large-scale professional input and evaluation, with varying degrees of effectiveness. Automated identification and extraction of the tumor's localization from brain MRI will be proposed in this paper. To achieve this goal, the data collected from Kaggle and the collected data are processed. Then the U-Net is employed to segment the tumor region from the MRI. Next, the MRI is classified using DL models like Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and the hybrid Convolutional Neural Network and Long Short-Term Memory (CNN-LSTM). Both process segmentation and classification are evaluated using the metrics. From the evaluation, it is identified that CNN-LSTM outperforms the CNN model

Today’s smart world with high-speed communication devices demands elegant computing systems with lightening speed. Compression technology takes a major part in developing new generation computing systems. Popular applications like multimedia and medical data processing technology desires high data transmission rate, good perceptual signal quality and high compression rates. Wavelet based data compression techniques have advantages in lossless signal reconstructions and fit in dedicated data processing field. This paper highlights some wavelet transform based compression algorithms implementation and measuring performance towards quality of reconstruction and compression rate of one and two dimensional signal

    GUI Testing On Android Application

As Android phones is been used widely for different types of applications. But the people who stay in rural areas do not afford the high range mobile phones which support all the functionality. In this application system implementing Marathi/Hindi support for all versions (especially for older version). In this application system have provided with Hindi/Marathi keypad for messenger as well as dialler instead of 1, 2 and 3, a, b, c. It will reflect in Marathi/Hindi. As we know that in regular android phones we cannot make a call on just looking to a photo of dialler, but in this application system can have a look on photo to whom the number belong and can make a call on a single click without having the knowledge of the user phone number. System developed a new application called as N-indicator that is Nashik indicator, it will contain all the information of train routes, bus routes with it is fare, auto rates with it fare, visitor’s place, hotels with its fare. Background: Antimicrobials are routinely used for variety of clinical conditions but are also misused leading to drug resistance bacteria in clinical practice. Consultants can gain the knowledge about it and can also have the depth of problem faced, their prescribing behavior mainly depends on their attitude and understanding of condition. Our aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and beliefs about antibiotics prescribing among health care workers in a tertiary care hospital of Sangli. Methods: Our present study was conducted in the Bharati hospital, BV (DU) medical college and hospital, Sangli. Ethical clearance from the institutional ethics committee was obtained and it was, cross-sectional questionnaire-based study carried out in the form of a survey in which a pretested, semi-structured, validated questionnaire was provided to junior residents, senior residents and faculty of different specialties and responses were recorded. Questionnaire comprises of 9 in knowledge, 10 in attitude and 10 in practice section. Results: Out of all participants 84.5% believed that no need of antibiotics for running and blocked nose. Majority 89.6% were expressed that sample culture should be sent before starting antibiotics. 90.4% participants believed that education of patients will help. Only 76.8% strictly adhere to the antibiotic policy of our hospital. Conclusions: The present study on antibiotic usage gives useful information about the knowledge, attitudes and practices of prescribers and help plan suitable educational modifications that aim at improving the antimicrobial prescribing and minimizing the development of drug resistance in our developing country

Nitrogen doping into titanium dioxide by the sol–gel method using nitric acid

    Get PDF
N-doped TiO(2) has been prepared by use of sol-gel systems containing titanium alkoxide, with nitric acid as the nitrogen source. The time needed for gelation of the systems was drastically reduced by ultrasonic irradiation. The peaks assigned to the nitrate and nitrous ions were observed by FT-IR measurement during the sol-gel reaction. The N-doping was confirmed by the observation of N-O peaks in the XPS spectrum of the sample heated at 400 A degrees C. The nitrate ion acted as an oxidizer of the ethanol solvent and titanium species. The TiO(2) became doped with nitrogen oxide species as a result of reduction of nitrate ion incorporated into the dried gel samples. These results indicated that the added nitric acid was reduced during the sol-gel transition and heating process, and the resulting NO species were situated in the titania networks. The UV and visible photocatalytic activity of the samples was confirmed by the degradation of trichloroethylene.ArticleRESEARCH ON CHEMICAL INTERMEDIATES. 37(8):869-881 (2011)journal articl

ROBUST CONTROL OF DC MOTOR USING SLIDING MODE CONTROL APPROACH

    No full text
Most of the industrial applications are based on the AC motor drive because of the problems associated with the control of the DC motor drives. Authors have tried to address the problems associated with the DC drives. Sliding mode control of the DC machine is the scope of the study of this paper. Authors have focused the scope of the study to the DC drives used in industries. Reducing the disturbances is one of the advantages of the experiment carried out. The method implemented was found suitable to reducing dynamic chattering of the drive. The simulation model is developed and it was found suitable to improve the performance of the system
