Análise de soluções para avaliação de assentamentos em estacas

Este trabalho visa abordar a temática dos assentamentos em estacas. Dada a sua importância no conceito das fundações, este assunto tem vindo a ser estudado cada vez mais, no ramo da geotecnia. Tomou-se como alvo de estudo as metodologias existentes na bibliografia geotécnica para avaliar os assentamentos em estacas isoladas. Para integrar este tema inicialmente apresenta-se uma breve exposição sobre a sua importância bem como a forma de classificar as estacas por tipos. Seguidamente apresenta-se de forma sucinta alguns elementos sobre o dimensionamento de estacas, passando-se então a focar o principal tema deste trabalho. Tendo em conta o vasto formulário existente para determinar os assentamentos em estacas isoladas, optou-se por salientar apenas alguns autores, cujas expressões são mais tradicionalmente aplicadas. Após a exposição e explicação das metodologias segue-se a aplicação das mesmas. Para tal estudaram-se alguns exemplos de diferentes tipos de estacas construídas em diferentes tipos de solos. A fim de verificar a veracidade das expressões, compararam-se os diferentes resultados obtidos neste trabalho, através das expressões citadas, com os assentamentos reais obtidos em ensaios de carga em estacas coligidos da literatura geotécnica.This work aims to study the thematic of piles settlements. Given its importance in the concept of foundations, this subject has been studied increasingly in the field of geotechnical engineering. The existing geotechnical literature methodologies to assess the settlements of a single pile were taken as the target of this study. To integrate this theme initially presents a brief statement about its importance and how to classify piles by types. Following is succinctly presented some elements about piles design, moving then to focus on the main theme of this work. Given the vast form existing to determine the settlements of a single pile, was chosen to highlight only a few authors, whose expressions are traditionally more applied. After exposure and explanation of methodologies, its implementation followed. To this were studied examples of different kinds of piles constructed in different types of soil. In order to verify the accuracy of the expressions, we compared the different results obtained in this work, through the expressions cited, with real settlements obtained from piles load tests collected on geotechnical literature

Tinder: Estratégias de dissolução utilizadas em aplicações de dating online entre jovens adultos em Portugal

A partir do final do século XX assistiu-se a uma transformação global, apoiado no desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias e a chegada da internet que tornou o mundo mais digital, em rede, com uma comunicação mais rápida, acessível e autónoma. Os indivíduos adotaram a internet, deram-lhes usos pessoais, surgindo comunidades online baseadas em interesses e valores, onde laços sociais são criados e mantidos. A internet, redes sociais online (RSO) e o smartphone passam a ser peças fundamentais na vida pessoal e social dos indivíduos. Contudo, também no séc. XX várias foram as mudanças sociais relativas à sexualidade, onde maior liberdade sexual foi alcançada. Neste contexto, tendo em conta as transformações tecnológicas que ocorreram e as alterações na vida social dos indivíduos, o estabelecimento e manutenção de relações românticas e sexuais foi facilitado, permitindo também uma maior diversidade na escolha de parceiro romântico ou sexual. Regista-se um aumento na aderência ao online dating que se tornou uma forma aceitável e vantajosa na procura de intimidade, amor e sexo. No entanto, o papel mediador das RSO e aplicações de encontros existe tanto no começo das relações, como na dissolução destas. A presente dissertação parte da premissa teórica que os novos media tecnológicos possibilitam diversas estratégias para a negociação da dissolução de relações. Considerando o papel mediador das aplicações de encontros e a popularidade que elas continuam a ganhar, esta investigação teve como objetivo principal investigar e identificar entre os utilizadores do Tinder, quais os formatos de interrupção de relações sociais ou afetivas fundadas inicialmente na aplicação. Este é um tema que continua por ser explorado em Portugal, sendo este um estudo qualitativo que pretende mitigar esta lacuna. Foram feitas entrevistas a 10 indivíduos residente em Portugal, onde se tentou compreender a realidade social destes e de que forma os mesmos executam as dissoluções em relacionamentos. Através dos resultados obtidos foi possível verificar as formas de dissolução de uma relação utilizadas dentro e fora da aplicação, perceber eventuais diferenças entre tipo de estratégias utilizadas em função de género e intimidade estabelecida, bem como reconhecer possíveis diferenças entre tipo de estratégias utilizadas em função do possível colapso de contextos.Since the end of the 20th century there has been a global transformation, supported by the development of new technologies and the arrival of the internet that has made the world more digital, networked, with faster, more accessible, and autonomous communication. Individuals have embraced the internet, given them personal uses, and online communities have emerged based on interests and values, where social ties are created and maintained. The internet, online social media and the smartphone have become fundamental items in the personal and social life of individuals. Also, in 20th century, there were several social changes related to sexuality, where greater sexual freedom was achieved. In this context, taking into account the technological transformations that have occurred and the changes in the social life of individuals, the development and maintenance of romantic and sexual relationships have been facilitated, allowing also a greater diversity in the choice of romantic or sexual partners. There was an increase into the online dating which has become an acceptable and advantageous way of looking for intimacy, love, and sex. However, the mediating role of online social media and dating applications exists both at the beginning of relationships and at their dissolution. The present dissertation starts from the theoretical premise that the new technological media enable several strategies to negotiate the dissolution of relationships. Considering the mediating role of dating applications and the popularity they continue to gain, this investigation aimed to explore and identify among Tinder users, which formats of interruption of social or intimate relationships were initially founded in the application. Since this is a topic that remains to be explored in Portugal, this is a qualitative study that aims to mitigate this gap. Interviews were conducted with 10 individuals residing in Portugal, where we tried to understand their social reality and how they perform the dissolutions in relationships. Through the obtained results, it was possible to verify the ways of dissolving a relationship inside and outside the application, to perceive possible differences between the type of strategies used according to gender and established intimacy, as well as to recognize possible differences between the type of strategies used according to the possible collapse of contexts

Gramaticalização de "você": um processo de perda de informação semântica?

O processo de mudança envolvendo as formas vossa mercê > você > cê, analisado em Vitral (1996) e Ramos (1997), é retomado nesse artigo que discute a natureza da modificaçãosemântica apontada na literatura sobre gramaticalização. Argumentamos que o processo acima deve ser descrito, na verdade, como uma perda de referência virtual (Milner, 1982) enão como uma “perda de conteúdo semântico”, que, por outro lado, é adequado na descrição do uso expletivo da forma você.The change process that occurs with the forms vossa mercê > você > cê, analysed in Vitral (1996) and Ramos (1997), is resumed in this paper which discusses the nature of semantic modification found in the literature on grammaticalization. We argue that the process above must be described as a loss of virtual reference (Milner, 1982) and not as a loss of semantic substance, which, on the other hand, is adequate to describe the expletive usage of the form você. 

Abreviaturas no período 1800-1950: nova fonte de pesquisa diacrônica

Este artigo tem como objetivo mostrar a contribuição das abreviaturas ao estudo da mudança linguística, identificando-as como pistas gráficas capazes de documentar etapas desse processo. O objeto de análise são as abreviaturas que manifestam o processo iniciado pelo uso de uma expressão nominal Vossa Mercê, que teve como resultado o pronome Você. O período focalizado vai de 1800 a 1950. O objeto de análise são cartas pessoais manuscritas.  A abordagem teórico-metodológica utilizada é a Teoria da Variação e Mudança. Foram registradas 32 formas diferentes de abreviar estes itens, aqui tratadas como variantes. Sua sistematicidade foi verificada através de análise quantitativa. Como resultado, foi possível identificar estágios no processo de pronominalização, a partir das abreviaturas

First record of Leptodactylus caatingae Heyer & Juncá, 2003 (Amphibia, Anura, Leptodactylidae) for the Ceará State, Brazil

Leptodactylus caatingae was described by Heyer & Juncá (2003), based on specimens collected in Bahia. The species is known in the Caatinga and Atlantic Rainforest biomes, in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, Paraíba, and Espírito Santo. Here, we report the first record of L. caatingae for the state of Ceará

De nome a pronome: um estudo sobre o item «senhor»

Resumo: Adotando a concepção formalista de gramaticalização, as diferentes realizações do item senhor foram descritas neste artigo como um processo resultante da recategorização de um nome. No eixo diacrônico, foi identificado o seguinte percurso no que diz respeito à posição estrutural de senhor: adjunto &gt; especificador &gt; núcleo. É na posição de vocativo que senhor ocorre como nome nu. Este teria sido o gatilho da reanálise nome &gt; pronome ou, mais exatamente, N &gt; D.Palavras-chave: Gramaticalização; pronominalização; senhor.Abstract: The formalist concept of grammaticalization was adopted in this article in order to describe the different realizations of the item senhor (“sir”) from Brazilian Portuguese as the resulting process of a recategorization of a noun. It was identified the following diachronic path of this item as far as its structural position is concerned: adjunct &gt; specifier &gt; head. It is in the vocative position that the item senhor occurs as a bare noun.
