Non-Minimal Flavored S3⊗Z2{\bf S}_{3}\otimes {\bf Z}_{2} Left-Right Symmetric Model

We propose a non-minimal left-right symmetric model (LRSM) with Parity Symmetry where the fermion mixings arise as result of imposing an ${\bf S}_{3}\otimes {\bf Z}_{2}$ flavor symmetry, and an extra ${\bf Z}^{e}_{2}$ symmetry is considered to suppress some Yukawa couplings in the lepton sector. As a consequence, the effective neutrino mass matrix possesses approximately the $\mu-\tau$ symmetry. The breaking of the $\mu-\tau$ symmetry induces sizable non zero $\theta_{13}$, and the deviation of $\theta_{23}$ from $45^{\circ}$ is strongly controlled by an $\epsilon$ free parameter and the complex neutrino masses. Then, an analytic study on the extreme Majorana phases is done since these turn out to be relevant to enhance or suppress the reactor and atmospheric angle. So that we have constrained the parameter space for the $\epsilon$ parameter and the lightest neutrino mass that accommodate the mixing angles. The highlighted results are: a) the normal hierarchy is ruled out since the reactor angle comes out being tiny, for any values of the Majorana phases; b) for the inverted hierarchy there is one combination in the extreme phases where the values of the reactor and atmospheric angles are compatible up to $2, 3~\sigma$ of C. L., but the parameter space is tight; c) the model favors the degenerate ordering for one combination in the extreme Majorana phases. In this case, the reactor and atmospheric angle are compatible with the experimental data for a large set of values of the free parameters. Therefore, this model may be testable by the future result that the Nova and KamLAND-Zen collaborations will provide.Comment: Version three. I added references and corrected typos. 19 pages. Aplicación de medidas indirectas de exposición al análisis del riesgo de accidente

El número de víctimas en accidentes de tráfico se ha descompuesto tradicionalmente en tres dimensiones: exposición; riesgo de accidente, definido como el número de accidentes por unidad de exposición; y riesgo de lesión, definido como el número de víctimas por cada accidente. Hasta el momento, el conocimiento sobre los factores que influyen sobre el riesgo de accidente es deficiente, un hecho relacionado con la extraordinaria dificultad para obtener información sobre la exposición de distintos grupos de usuarios y vehículo

Young with Down Syndrome and recreation swimming activity: Inclusion posibilities

El propósito del estudio fue analizar las percepciones de los agentes participantes y los factores que inciden en la inclusión de un niño con síndrome de Down (SD) en un programa de natación recreativa. Los participantes fueron: un joven con SD, nueve jóvenes sin discapacidad diagnosticada, la monitora de natación, el coordinador de la actividad y la madre del niño con SD. El presente estudio, basado en una metodología cualitativa, recogió la información a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas, observación sistemática y diario de la investigadora. La utilización de un proceso inductivo permitió categorizar la información y obtener los siguientes resultados: es necesaria una mayor coordinación entre los agentes implicados, adaptar el programa en función de las características de todos los participantes, mejorar la formación específica de los técnicos responsables y la fluidez de la comunicación entre los agentes implicados para posibilitar la inclusión del niño con SD a través de la natación recreativaThe purpose of this study was to analyse the perceptions of the participant agents and factors affecting the inclusion of a child with Down syndrome (DS) in a recreational swimming activity program. Program participants included: a child with DS, nine children without diagnosed disabilities, the swimming instructor, the mother of a child with DS and the coordinator of the activity. This study was based on qualitative research approach and data were collected through semi-structured interviews, systematic observation and research diary. B-L Model with S3{\bf S}_{3} Symmetry: Nearest Neighbor Interaction Textures and Broken μ↔τ\mu\leftrightarrow\tau Symmetry

We make a scalar extension of the B-L gauge model where the ${\bf S}_{3}$ non-abelian discrete group drives mainly the Yukawa sector. Motived by the large and small hierarchies among the quark and active neutrino masses respectively, the quark and lepton families are not treated on the same footing under the assignment of the discrete group. As a consequence, the Nearest Neighbor Interactions (NNI) textures appear in the quark sector, leading to the CKM mixing matrix, whereas in the lepton sector, a soft breaking of the $\mu \leftrightarrow \tau$ symmetry in the effective neutrino mass that comes from type I see-saw mechanism, provides a non-maximal atmospheric angle and a non-zero reactor angle.Comment: 20 pages, 6 figures. Analysis of the September ε-Perseid outburst in 2013

We analyze the outburst experienced by the September ε-Perseid meteor shower on 9 September 2013. As a result of our monitoring the atmospheric trajectory of 60 multistation events observed over Spain was obtained and accurate orbital data were derived from them. On the basis of these orbits, we have tried to determine the likely parent body of this meteoroid stream by employing orbital dissimilarity criteria. In addition, the emission spectra produced by two events belonging to this meteor shower were also recorded. The analysis of these spectra has provided information about the chemical nature of their progenitor meteoroids. We also present an estimation of the tensile strength for these particles
