    Simulator Pesawat Melewati VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range (VOR)

    Penerbangan pesawat terbang komersial selalu mengikuti flight plan yang dibuat, flight plan dibuat pilot berdasarkan airways yang sudah ada. Airways menghubungkan antara airport dengan VOR/DME, dimana VOR/DME dalam penerbangan dikenal sebagai peralatan navigasi udara . VOR/DME diperlukan penerbang supaya tidak kehilangan arah sehingga pesawat dapat terbang ke airport tujuan. Instrument HSI memberikan visualisasi bearing, course, from to dan deviasi VOR/DME tujuan. Informasi dari HSI merupakan informasi yang digunakan pilot untuk sampai ke VOR/DME berikutnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat perangkat lunak simulasi pergerakan pesawat melewati VOR, metode pengembangan perangkat lunak menggunakan model Prototype dengan cara melihat perangkat yang sudah ada. Simulasi dan pemodelan dilakukan dengan meletakkan VOR/DME pada latitude dan longitude sesuai dengan letak di darat, kemudian memodelkan letak VOR/DME menggunakan peta MapX4.5, pesawat dikondisikan terbang pada airport yang ditentukan, instrument  HSI dimodelkan dengan menggunakan GL Studio, dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C#,  data VOR/DME Indonesia dan airport Indonesia disimpan dalam Excell. Hasil perhitungan kemudiandivisualisasikan pada instrument HSI, hasil visualisasi instrumen dibandingkan dengan Garmin Integrated Flight Deck (GIFD) Trainer, version 14.01 pada kondisi yang sama

    The objective of this research was to study the effect of substitution of sticky rice flour with sago flour on the quality of milk sweet pastry. As treatments, the sticky rice flour was substituted with 5 levels of sago flour: 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 %. Each treatment consisted of 3 replicates. Parameter measured included: moisture content, consistency and organolptic characters. Data were statistically analyzed by variance analysis in randomized block design (RBD) and followed with Duncan\u27s Multiple Range test. The results showed that the use of sago flour in different levels gave highly significant effect (P<0.01) on moisture content, consistency and texture of pastry. Subtitution of sticky rice flour by 50 % of sago flour produced the best quality of pastry

    PULMONARY AMEBIASIS COMPLICATED WITH MASSIVE LEFT EMPYEMA AND RESPIRATORY FAILURE: A CASE REPORT

    Introduction: Amebiasis is defined as a parasitic infection with the protozoan Entamoeba histolytica. Amebiasis in pulmonary and pleural tissue is the second common location of extraintestinal amebias is after amoebic liver abscess. Pulmonary and pleural amebiasishappens in 2-3% of invasive amebiasis patients with mortality rate 5-16%. Case: We report a 22-year-old man with the chief complaint of dyspnea for one week. The patient also felt pain in the left chest, had productive cough and fever. He had a history of dysentery one month ago. BGA evaluation confirmed patient had respiratory failure type 1 with PCO2 35 and PO2 46.1. Thoracentesis was performed, the result was brown milk (anchovy paste) color and pleural fluid analysis revealed positive Entamoeba histolytica. Antimicrobial therapy and drainage were given with excellent response. Conclusion: Pulmonary and pleural amebiasis is an uncommon disease, usually occurring on the right side of the lung compared to the left side and rarely causing respiratory failure. Pulmonary amebiasis is a life-threatening, but treatable, condition. Antimicrobial therapy and drainage is an important strategy in pulmonary amebiasis management

    Analytical and Computational Simulation Approaches to Design Low Energy Glass Block. An environmentally friendly process was developed to produce a low embodied energy glass block from waste glasses. The energy efficiency of the glass block is represented by its thermal conductance (U) &lt;3.177 W/m2.K and solar transmittance (SHGC) &le;0.25 as well as visible light transmission (VT) &ge;0.27. A cavity was applied to reduce U value while insignificantly reducing VT. Analytical method was used to calculate the U value of glass blocks, ignoring the effect of convection. Ecotect program was used to analyze light level (VT) and heat load (SHGC) of each model. Effect of convection was simulated using a CFD program, which showed air velocity inside the cavity and temperature gradient in glass blocks. Comparing to an application with 3 mm float glass, energy efficiency obtained through applying the glass blocks could reach 96%. This simulation study ignored the presence of adhesive among glass layers that potentially reduces the VT and the SHGC of the glass blocks

    ABSTRACT Structural properties of Iridium(lII) hydration have been studied based on an ab initio Quantum Mechanical Charge Field (QMCF) Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulations. The most chemical-relevantregion was treated by ab initio calculation at Hartree-Fock level. For the remaining region was calculated by Molecular Mechanics method. LANL2DZ ECP and DZP Dunning basis sets were applied to Ir+ ion and water, respectively. The average distance of Ir-O in the first hydration shell is 2.03 A. The QMCF MD Simulation can detect only one complex structure with coordination number of 6 in the first hydration shell.
