    Komplikasi pada penderita diabetes melitus yang tidak terkontrol menyebabkan peningkatan kadar kolesterol darah yang disebut dengan dislipidemia. Dislipidemia dapat disebabkan meningkatnya kadar asam lemak bebas di dalam tubuh akibat kegagalan glukosa masuk ke dalam sel dan menurunnya produksi insulin pada penderita diabetes. Salah satu bahan yang dapat membantu kerja insulin masuk ke dalam sel adalah kayu manis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kayu manis dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol tikus putih jenis Rattus novergicus strain wistar yang mengalami diabetes melitus. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi true eksperimental dengan “Post Control Group Design”. Hewan coba 15 tikus jantan dirandomisasi dalam 3 kelompok, yaitu : tikus normal (Kontrol negatif), tikus diabetes (kontrol positif), dan tikus diabetes yang diberi ekstra kayu manis dengan 400mg/hari selama 24 hari. Variable independent adalah kayu manis dan variable dependen adalah penurunan kadar kolesterol. Data yang disajikan adalah data dari perolehan Uji one way ANOVA dengan tingkat signifikan. Berdasarkan nilai rata- rata terendah terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol negatif dan pada perlakuan kayu manis (0,000) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol positif (0,013). Berdasarkan Uji Statistik One way ANOVA (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat penurunan kadar kolesterol yang signifikan terhadap kelompok kontrol positif (p = 0.013 ) dan kontrol negatif (p = 0.000) pada dosis 400mg/hari (0,000). Dapat ditarik kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian ekstra kayu manis dosis 400mg/hari efektif dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol pada tikus diabetes melitus

    Specialty Rice (Oryza sativa L.) for Health in Indonesia

    Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the most nutritious staple food for most Indonesian people. The Ministry of Agriculture through the Agricultural Research and Development Agency has released about 300 rice varieties. Some of these varieties have advantages that are beneficial for health. The purpose of this article was to review literature describing the specialty rice varieties from Indonesia, with a particular focus on low Glycemic Index, high antioxidant and high mineral content. Low GI rice is one way of coping with diabetes mellitus (DM). Hyperlipidemia, diabetic syndrome, and cancer diseases could be prevented by consuming pigmented rice which is rich in antioxidants. Fortified rice could be used to overcome iron nutritional anemia and stunting problems. In order to to overcome nutritional and health problems in Indonesia, it is hoped that specialty rice could be used as a complementary program in the food diversification program that has been developed by the government. Specialty rice available in the market still has to pay attention to the quality class of the rice. Socialization about specialty rice needs to be conducted, and the availability of specialty rice opens up export opportunities

    A Review on The Physical, Milling Quality and Physicochemical Characteristic of Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7

    Up to now the Agriculture Ministry of Republic of Indonesia has released 19 varieties of hybrid rice. Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7 varieties are two of them. Hybrid rice is a group of rice plants formed from first generation individuals (F1) derivative of a combination of crossing between certain elders. Hybrid rice superior varieties has a higher yield potential than inbred superior varieties that dominate rice cultivation areas. Rice quality is one of the factors that determine the level of consumer acceptance of a variety. The rice quality is influenced by several factors such as physical quality, cooking quality and taste quality. This paper aims to review the physical quality, milling quality and physical properties of Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7. The length of Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7 are long and the shape are slender. Based on the head rice and broken rice percentage both Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7 are met the medium 2 and 3 quality class (SNI 6128:2015). Based on the physicochemical characteristics both Hipa 6 Jete and Hipa 7 are classified as intermediate amylose content with soft gel consistency and with high intermediate gelatinization temperature.     Physical and Milling Quality of Milled Rice in Indonesia

    More than 250 rice varieties are grown in Indonesia from new superior varieties and local varieties with aromatic, non-aromatic aromas and pigmented rice. Rice quality is one factor that must be considered in addition to high productivity. Generally, the quality of grain and rice quality in Indonesia have met the quality standards set based on SNI 0224-1987/SPI-TAN/01/01/1993 and SNI 6128:2020. Ricequality is determined by several factors such as grain appearance, nutritional value, cooking and eating quality and become one of the foremost considerations for rice buyers. Such information can be utilized as basic data of character of genetic resources on assembling of new superior varieties by rice breeders. Those information can be used as a descriptive information for farmers and rice productivity, high yield, and better rice quality. Good quality local cultivar can be used as parents for the formation of new superior varieties

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana gambaran penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga terhadap kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju? (2) Bagaimana gambaran kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju sebelum dan setelah penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga? (3) Apakah ada pengaruh penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga terhadap kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju. (2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju sebelum dan setelah penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga. (3) Untuk mengetahui penerapan permainan tradisional Ular Naga terhadap kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan model Pre-Experimental Design. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Subyek penelitian ini yakni 15 anak didik yang yang terdiri dari 6 anak laki-laki dan 9 anak perempuan yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis non-parametrik, yaitu uji wilcoxon. Data hasil observasi anak didik mengalami peningkatan dari setiap pemberian perlakuan. Hasil penelitian keterampilan sosial pada anak didik selama pretest dengan frekuensi 1 anak berada pada kategori baik, 2 anak berada pada kategori cukup, dan 12 anak berada pada kategori kurang dengan nilai rentang 1-38 dan selama posttest dengan frekuensi 1 anak berada pada kategori cukup dan 14 anak berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rentang 13-38. Hal ini merujuk pada nilai T hitung yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 120 dan T tabel 25 maka diperoleh hasil T hitung (153) > nilai T tabel sebesar (35) maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak sedangkan nilai Z hitung yang diperoleh yaitu 3.3 dan Z tabel 1.645 maka diperoleh hasil nilai Z (3.4) > nilai Z tabel (1.645) maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian pengaruh permainan tradisional ular naga dapat meningkatkan hasil terhadap kemampuan sosial pada anak didik di PAUD TK Masyitah Mamuju

    The Glycemic Index Value of Hipa 7 and the Determination Method

    Carbohydrate content information of food does not enough to describe its physiological effect. Different carbohydrate sources give diverse blood glucose response. The concept of glycemic index (GI) was introduced to fill that gap. It divides food into several classifications according to their postprandial glycemic response. The original method was conducted by observing blood glucose after consuming sample then comparing the result with standard food. Later, miscellaneous in vitro digestion models were developed to mimic the in vivo condition. Rice is one of food types that have various GI which are related to the rice variety and postharvest processing method. There are some varieties that have low or medium GI, the others have higher. Parboiled and brown rice tend to have lower GI compared to their un-parboilled milled rice form.  Hipa 7 is hybrid new superior variety that that had been launched by ICRR in 2009 and its milled rice has low glycemic index 49.2. Low glycemic index rice potentially reduced the occurrence of obesity and diabetic mellitus disease

    Evaluation of Masticatory Performance and Patient Satisfaction Before and After Posterior Implant Restoration

    Objective: To evaluate the improvement in masticatory performances two weeks after posterior implant restoration. Material and Methods: Nine patients with missing first and second molars were included in the study. Masticatory performances were evaluated using subjective and objective methods utilizing color-changeable chewing gum and the visual analog scale (VAS) assessment. The subjects were asked to chew the color-changeable chewing gums before and two weeks after the posterior implant restoration. Their expectations regarding aesthetics and function were verified on the VAS before implant placement. Additionally, the VAS was used for the posttreatment completion rating two weeks after the implant restoration. Results: Significant differences in masticatory performance were noted at baseline (before implant posterior restoration) and two weeks after implant restoration (p<0.05). The posttreatment aesthetic and functional expectations ratings significantly exceeded the expectations (p<0.05). Conclusion: Masticatory performances were improved two weeks after implant restoration. In addition, the significant posttreatment ratings of the patients exceeded their initial expectations. In particular, patients with poor masticatory functions demonstrated significant improvements and satisfaction following implant restoration compared to those with good mastication. These findings indicate that a posterior implant restoration can increase the masticatory performance

    Analisis Pengaruh Retail Marketing Mix Terhadap Loyalitas Konsumen Pada Pasar Modern (Studi Kasus pada Indomaret Bandar Kediri)

    The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the availability of goods, price, location, communication mix, and the design and appearance of consumer repurchase stores in Indomaret Bandar Kediri. The population in this study are all consumers who have made purchases at Indomaret Bandar. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 100 respondents, data were collected using a questionnaire as the main instrument, and the questionnaire used a Likert scale to measure respondents' answers. Path analysis is used to identify the relationship between retail marketing mix and consumer repurchase decisions. Regression analysis using the stepwise method produces 3 main predictor variables that can be used to measure Indomaret customer loyalty. The three variables are satisfaction, merchandise, and promotion. The simultaneous test results presented produce a sig value of 0,000. This value is smaller than the research error level used which is 0.05 (5%), so the conclusions that can be drawn are satisfaction, merchandise, and promotions variables simultaneously have a significant effect on customer loyalty.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara persedian barang, harga,lokasi, bauran komunikasi serta desain dan tampilan toko pembelian ulang konsumen di Indomaret Bandar Kediri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh konsumen yang pernah melakukan pembelian pada Indomaret Bandar. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang, Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai instrument utama, dan kuisioner menggunakan skala Likert untuk mengukur jawaban responden. Analisis jalur digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara bauran pemasaran ritel dan keputusan pembelian ulang konsumen. Analisis regresi dengan metode stepwise menghasilkan 3 variabel prediktor utama yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur loyalitas pelanggan indomaret. Ketiga variabel tersebut adalah kepuasan, merchandise, dan promosi. Hasil uji serentak yang disajikan menghasilkan nilai sig sebesar 0.000. Nilai ini lebih kecil dari tingkat kesalahan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu 0.05 (5%), sehingga kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah variabel kepuasan, merchandise, dan promosi berpengaruh signifikan secara serentak terhadap loyalitas pelanggan

    Penerapan Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) dalam Perhitungan Jumlah Permintaan Air Mineral Pada PT. Akasha Wira International

    Daily needs that are priceless but useful for health one of which is mineral water. The need for mineral water increases with the high demand in the market. The purpose of this study was to determine the forecasting of the number of requests for 330 ml shortneck mineral water products in the future using the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method. Limitation of the problem is discussing the number of requests in the first half of 2020, the data used were obtained from PT. Akasha Wira International from January 2014 to December 2019. The analytical method is to calculate the forecast error value of the different values to find one value that produces the smallest error with the calculation method Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) and Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) can interpreted based on the calculation stage where the forecast data value in the period + 1 is the actual value in the period t plus the adjustment derived from forecasting error that occurred in the period t. The results obtained on the value of Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) are taken at a = 0.9 because it produces the smallest value of the projected data projection error of 1860 units. Whereas in forecasting requests using Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), 330 ml shortneck mineral water in the first half of 2020 amounted to 2177634 units. Kebutuhan sehari – hari yang tidak ternilai harganya tapi berguna bagi kesehatan salah satunya adalah air mineral. Kebutuhan air mineral meningkat seiring dengan tingginya permintaan pada pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui peramalan jumlah permintaan pada produk air mineral 330 ml shortneck dimasa mendatang menggunakan metode Single Exponential Smoothing (SES). Batasan masalah yaitu membahas jumlah permintaan dimasa mendatang semester I 2020, data yang digunakan diperoleh dari PT. Akasha Wira International pada Januari 2014 sampai dengan Desember 2019. Metode analisis yaitu Menghitung nilai kesalahan peramalan terhadap nilai yang berbeda beda untuk menemukan satu nilai yang menghasilkan kesalahan terkecil dengan metode perhitungan Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) dan Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) dapat diartikan berdasarkan tahapan perhitungannya dimana nilai data ramalan pada periode + 1 merupakan nilai actual pada periode t ditambah dengan penyesuaian yang berasal dari kesalahan nilai peramalan yang terjadi pada periode t. Didapatkan hasil pada nilai Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) diambil pada a = 0,9 karena menghasilkan nilai kesalahan proyeksi data pemrintaan paling kecil yaitu 1860 unit. Sedangkan pada peramalan permintaan menggunakan Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), air mineral 330 ml shortneck pada semester I tahun 2020 sebesar 2177634 unit.
