The Effect of Incubation Temperature on Deviations of Pholidosis and Malformations in Grass Snake Natrix natrix (L. 1758) and Sand Lizard Lacerta agilis (L. 1758)

This paper considers morphological deviations of reptiles and the influence of incubation temperature on this phenomenon. 28 types of pholidosis deviations and 5 types of malformations were observed in juvenile grass snakes. Sand lizards demonstrated 26 types of deviations and 11 types of malformations. The most common malformations in both species were spine and tail deformations. Hatchlings which were incubated at extremely high temperatures were characterized by the largest spectrum and the highest frequency of deviations and malformations. Deviations in Pholidosis of the Grass Snake Natrix natrix (L. 1758) from the Tatarstan Republic

This paper is devoted to the consideration of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of pholidosis deviations in grass snakes and the intraspecific variation of these features. 35 types of deviations were observed: segmentation, incomplete separation, fusion, reduction of scales and the presence of an additional small scale. The frequency and values of individual and population spectra of deviations were higher in adult snakes. Minimal values of all indices were characterized for a sample from the Laishevsky region. Deviations observed in grass snakes occur in other species of snakes, mostly deviations of the ventral and subcaudal scales

Коррекция алкогольных посткоматозных нарушений внутривенным лазерным облучением крови (клинико-экспериментальное исследование)

The authors studied the impact of intravenous laser hemotherapy on the course of rat alcoholic coma caused by intragastric 40% ethanol administration. Intravenous laser blood irradiation promoted reduced mortality rates, diminished neurological deficit, earlier clinical recovery, and the optimized sympathetic/parasympathetic central nervous system ratio. Clinical and functional studies of changes in the central nervous system and retina were made in patients admitted for alcoholic coma. Intravenous laser blood irradiation as part of complex detoxification therapy positively affected the altered function of the higher nervous activity, contributed to earlier conscious recovery and emergence from coma, diminished neurological deficit in the early postcomatose period — alleviated brain edema, a drastic relief of pyramidal insufficiency and cramps, which was detectable in the visual assessment of electroencephalograms, their spectral coherent analysis, as well in the analysis of systemic and regional electroretinography. Исследовано влияние внутривенной лазерной гемотерапии на течение алкогольной комы у крыс, вызванной внутрижелудочным введением 40% этанола. Применение внутривенного лазерного облучения крови способствовало снижению летальности, уменьшению неврологического дефицита, сокращению сроков клинического выздоровления, оптимизации соотношения между симпатическим и парасимпатическим отделами вегетативной нервной системы. Проводили клинические и функциональные методы исследования изменений центральной нервной системы и сетчатки глаза у больных, поступивших в состоянии алкогольной комы. Внутривенное лазерное облучение крови, проведенное в комплексе детоксикационной терапии, оказывало положительное действие на измененную функцию высшей нервной деятельности, способствовало более раннему восстановлению сознания и выходу из комы, уменьшению неврологического дефицита в ранний посткоматозный период — уменьшение выраженности отека головного мозга, резкое сокращение пирамидной недостаточности и судорожного синдрома — что выявлялось при визуальной оценке электроэнцефалограмм, их спектрально-когерентном анализе, а также при анализе общей и локальной электроретинографии.

Особенности течения и лечения туберкулеза органов дыхания у женщин во время беременности и послеродовом периоде. Перинатальные исходы

The objective: to study specific features of the respiratory tuberculosis course and effectiveness of its treatment during pregnancy and postpartum period, and to evaluate the impact of tuberculosis on perinatal outcomes.Subjects and Methods. In 2010 - 2022, a retrospective-prospective case-control study enrolling 164 patients of reproductive age was conducted in Central Tuberculosis Research Institute. Two groups were formed: Case Group included 82 pregnant women with respiratory tuberculosis; Control Group included 82 non-pregnant patients with respiratory tuberculosis.Results. In both groups, new cases of respiratory tuberculosis were notified more often versus relapses. Distinctive features of respiratory tuberculosis in pregnant women versus the non-pregnant were as follows: the predominance of the proportion of extensive drug resistant M. tuberculosis – 55.5% versus 31.7% (p<0.05), respectively; lower frequency of lung tissue destruction – 18.3% versus 32.9% (p≤0.05); higher incidence of cavities - 80% and 40.7% (p≤0.05) and complications of respiratory tuberculosis – 25.6% versus 12.2% (p≤0.03), respectively. The high effectiveness of respiratory tuberculosis treatment such as relief of clinical symptoms and sputum conversion was achieved at the end of the intensive therapy phase both in Case Group and Control Group. Longer time until sputum conversion and lower rate of cavity healing were reported in the patients from Case Group. In 75.6% of pregnant women from Case Group there was a delivery with favorable perinatal outcomes.Цель исследования: изучить особенности течения, эффективность лечения туберкулеза органов дыхания во время беременности и послеродовом периоде, а также оценить влияние туберкулеза на перинатальные исходы.Материалы и методы. За период 2010-2022гг. на базе ФГБНУ «ЦНИИТ» проведено ретроспективно-проспективное «случай-контроль» исследование 164 пациенток репродуктивного возраста. Было сформировано две группы: группа «Случай» – 82 женщины с сочетанием ТОД и беременности; группа «Контроль» – 82 пациентки с наличием ТОД, без беременности.Результаты исследования. В обеих группах чаще регистрировали впервые выявленный ТОД по сравнению с рецидивами. Отличительными особенностями ТОД у беременных по сравнению с женщинами без беременности являлись преобладание доли широкой лекарственной устойчивости M. tuberculosis – 55,5% против 31,7% (p<0,05) соответственно; меньшая частота деструкции легочной ткани – 18,3% против 32,9% (р≤0,05); более высокая частота формирования каверн – 80% и 40,7% (р≤0,05) и осложнений ТОД – 25,6% и 12,2% (р≤0,03) соответственно. Установлена высокая эффективность лечения ТОД по окончании фазы интенсивной терапии как в группе «Случай», так и в группе «Контроль» в виде купирования клинической симптоматики и прекращения бактериовыделения. У пациенток группы «Случай» отмечали более длительный период до абациллирования и низкий показатель закрытия полостей распада (каверн). Беременность у женщин группы «Случай» в 75,6% наблюдений закончилась родами с благоприятными перинатальными исходами

КЛИНИЧЕСКАЯ ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА ОСТРЫХ РЕСПИРАТОРНЫХ ЗАБОЛЕВАНИЙ У МЛАДЕНЦЕВ РАННЕГО ВОЗРАСТА В Г. АЛМАТЫ, КАЗАХСТАН

Acute respiratory infections and diarrheas are the main cause of hospitalization. We do not have a routine practice of etiological verification of respiratory viruses, the diagnosis is based on clinical presentation and instrumental investigations. We do not perform identification of respiratory syntycial virus (RSV), however there are effective methods of specific prophylactic and treatment with monoclonal antibodies available worldwide. Another point is wide application of antibiotics without clear indications on bacterial infection, especially if a patient is hospitalized. We analyzed clinical data of children aged 0—3 months with acute respiratory viral infections and found a big number of patients with bronchoobstruction associated with bronchiolitits which in fact points on possible involvement of RSV. Острые респираторные инфекции, наряду с диареями, являются ведущей причиной госпитализации детей младшего возраста. В нашей практике не проводится рутинная расшифровка вирусных возбудителей ОРЗ, а диагноз устанавливается на основе клинико-эпидемиологических данных. Не тестируется респираторно-синцитиальный вирус (РСВ), хотя в других странах применяют специфические моноклональные антитела для профилактики и лечения детей с тяжелыми формами этой инфекции. Другим важным аспектом является практически повсеместное назначение антибиотиков при ОРЗ, особенно если ребенок находится в стационаре, при отсутствии четких признаков бактериальной инфекции. Мы проанализировали клинческие данные детей в возрасте 0—3 месяцев жизни, поступивших в инфекционный стацинар в зимнее время, и выявили высокую частоту бронхообструктивного синтдрома, который, по нашему мнению, отражает заболевемость бронхиеолитом на фоне ОРВИ и указывает на возможную роль РСВ.
