This paper addresses the issue on the changing management and leadership roles of the school administrators as they participate in a tertiary learning program as adult learners. In the attempt to investigate the issue, a research using a self-developed questionnaire was distributed to a group of 36 headmasters/mistresses who were enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in one of the local public universities. In specific, the investigation sought to discover the management and leadership challenges the respondents faced as adult learners participating in the tertiary learning program on a modular basis. Additionally, their strategies in coping with the reported challenges were sought. It was anticipated that the findings would lead to a better understanding of the adult learners who play two distinguished roles concurrently. The added value of this investigation is seen from the potential of discovering the administrators’ self- concept as both the administrator and adult learner. On top of that, it also uncovered the respondents’ attitudes towards learning and their ability to adapt in a new environment which also comprised the traditional learners. The findings of the investigation brought about various implications on the training of school administrators and adult education since the findings could help to illuminate the pattern in the school administrator-cum-adult learner’s educational management and leadership as they play the role of an administrator and adult learner

The student’s final project of Diploma in Interior Design reveals students knowledge on all aspects in interior design from basic principle of designs to the final presentation of the proposed project. This includes understanding on the criteria of the chosen site for the proposed project, as well as knowledge on identifying structures of the existing building, along with its mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing systems and existing materials. The chosen project for the final project is to proposed new interior design of Crazy Manga Store for Animation Technology Sdn. Bhd.at No. 5 and 6 Sunway Giza, Dataran Sunway PJU 5 Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The client, Animation Technology Sdn. Bhd. is expected to increase more specialty stores throughout Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak.Within their long-term planning, they are also planning to open a store that sells mainly comic books. Therefore, this comic store is proposed to attract younger customers, especially children and teenagers to come to the store and buy comic books..The main product for this store is mainly a Japanese comic books or better known as manga among Japanese comic lovers. Besides, there are also other products provided such as figurines, cards, magazines, DVD animation, DVD soundtrack and cosplay merchandise. The chosen concept and image not only fulfilled client’s requirement, but also must reflect client’s character and corporate image as well as to give a positive impact to the performance of workers inside the store so that it will inculcate workers to work even harder. Plus, the chosen design style for Crazy Manga Store is based on the chosen concept for the store. Before achieving a desired design that is going to be implemented inside the store, some analytical works need to be carried out such as collecting datas from client regarding to their nature of business. Certain information are gained through the interview with the client itself, observation and internet

Design and Development of Multilevel Inverter for Convert Direct Current to Alternating Current Using MATLAB Simulation

    Get PDF
This paper presented the design and development of a multilevel inverter (MLI). The demand for better electronic devices increases rapidly. The multilevel inverter (MLI) which convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) are widely used in the industry. The objective of this research is to design and simulate the 3-level and 3-level NPC MLI module using PLECS software. To develop the switching technique for each level of NPC MLI, and To analyse and validate the MLI in terms of harmonic. Although there is already an inverter in the market, the researcher still pursues to improve the efficiency, total harmonic distortion (THD), and reduce the size of the MLI. An THD can be improved using the suitable modulation technique and the size of the MLI can be reduced by designing better topologies. The modular NPC is using the three-level NPC as the main module and the number of levels can be increased by adding 2 level NPC modules to the main module. The switching technique was created to control the NPC MLI for each level

Optical Waveguide Modelling Based On Scalar Finite Difference Scheme

A Numerical Method Based On Scalar Finite Difference Scheme Was Adopted And Programmed On MATLAB® Platform For Optical Waveguide Modeling Purpose. Comparisons With Other Established Methods In Terms Of Normalized Propagation Constant Were Included To Verify Its Applicability. The Comparison Results Obtained Were Proven To Have The Same Qualitative Behaviour. Furthermore, The Performances Were Evaluated In Terms Of Computation Complexity, Mesh Size, And Effect Of Acceleration Factor. Computation Complexity Can Be Reduced By Increasing The Mesh Size Which Will Then Produce More Error. The Problem Can Be Rectified By Introducing The Acceleration Factor, Successive Over Relaxation (SOR) Parameter. It Shows That SOR Range Between 1.3 And 1.7 Can Give Shorter Computation Time, While Producing Constant Value Of Simulation Results

Polymer optical waveguide based n wet-chemical fabrication process

    Get PDF
The wet-chemical fabrication process of BenzoCyclobutene (BCB 4024-40) polymer waveguides are described. The method of prism coupling is adopted in the characterization process of the polymer film. A cost effective chemical etching technique is used in the waveguide fabrication process to take advantage of the photosensitive nature of the polymer. The waveguide loss is measured using the conventional cut back method which results on an average loss of 3.5 dB/cm

In the recent years, the data communication system become the main type of communication in the world. The FSK modulator or demodulator is one of the part that becomes the most important part and extremely advanced with the involvement of microwave active and passive circuits. This paper presents the data transmission analysis using MW-5000 at 5.8 GHz frequency. This experiment use the microwave communication module MW-5000 that is available in electronic laboratory. From this experiment the duration taken for the transmission of data is depend on the length of sentence and the value of baud rate

Until now, Indonesia still faces Covid-19 and is still in the process of economic recovery. However, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) was able to achieve the target of 100% tax revenue according to the target mandated in the 2021 State Budget even before the close of the year. At the end of 2021 tax incentives that have been utilized in the framework of the National Economic Recovery Program have reached IDR 63.16 trillion (100.5%) from the ceiling of IDR 62.83 trillion. This achievement is thanks to the contributions of all Taxpayers who continue to be committed to paying taxes. On this achievement, the government continues to show improvement efforts that must be maintained momentum, in order to continue to the 2022 state budget. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the evaluation of the utilization of tax incentive policies during the covid-19 pandemic in the framework of national economic recovery. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods through literature studies. In the evaluation of the utilization of tax incentive policies during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was explained that this tax revenue is one of the many state revenues that participate in supporting the nation and the country
