The antagonism obedience/resistance in political artistic practices: the strategie of suggestion

[ES] Con el siguiente texto pretendemos analizar, dentro del extenso campo de las prácticas artístico políticas de las últimas décadas, los lenguajes y procesos artísticos que ofrecen una imagen crítica de la sociedad. La elección de los artistas a enfrentarse al antagonismo obediencia/resistencia reside en visualizar públicamente los flujos de resistencia en la sociedad. Este estudio pretende analizar dos enfoques diferentes, hacia el uso que los artistas hacen de las estrategias de la resistencia. Nos proponemos evidenciar estas estrategias a través del análisis de obras de diferentes artistas contemporáneos. El primer enfoque que vamos a desarrollar, se centra en el uso de estrategias más directas, es decir cercanas a prácticas activistas. El segundo enfoque, centra su atención en obras que se aproximan a estrategias de lo sensible, lo sugerido e inherente. Una comparación de estrategias que verán su eficacia hacia la recepción de los públicos.[EN] With the following text we pretend to analyze, in the extensive field of political artistic practices of the last decades, the languages and artistic processes that elaborate a critical image of society. The artists' choice to face the obedience/resistance antagonism lies in publicly visualizing the resistance flows in society. This study analyze two different approaches, towards the use that artists make of the strategies of resistance. We propose to demonstrate these strategies through the analysis of works by different contemporary artists. The first approach that we are going to develop focuses on the use of more direct strategies, that is, close to activist practices. The second approach focuses on works that approximate strategies of the sensible, the suggested and inherent. Estudios sobre el herbario Trèmols del Instituto Botánico de Barcelona (BC-Trèmols)

Desde principios de 2011 se lleva a cabo el estudio, acondicionamiento e informatización del herbario Trèmols, una de las colecciones históricas del Instituto Botánico de Barcelona formada durante el último tercio del siglo XIX, la cual alberga más de 9.000 pliegos. En este trabajo presentamos un breve apunte histórico sobre el herbario y su autor, así como una primera caracterización de la colección a partir de los materiales ya informatizados (los 12 primeros volúmenes). El principal interés de esta colección radica en las plantas obtenidas por intercambio, de procedencia geográfica muy variada, que permiten considerarla como uno de los primeros herbarios europeos que se formaron en Cataluña

Stroke is one of the most common causes of death and disability. Reperfusion therapies are the only treatment available during the acute phase of stroke. Due to recent clinical trials, these therapies may increase their frequency of use by extending the time-window administration, which may lead to an increase in complications such as hemorrhagic transformation, with parenchymal hematoma (PH) being the more severe subtype, associated with higher mortality and disability rates. Our aim was to find genetic risk factors associated with PH, as that could provide molecular targets/pathways for their prevention/treatment and study its genetic correlations to find traits sharing genetic background. We performed a GWAS and meta-analysis, following standard quality controls and association analysis (fastGWAS), adjusting age, NIHSS, and principal components. FUMA was used to annotate, prioritize, visualize, and interpret the meta-analysis results. The total number of patients in the meta-analysis was 2034 (216 cases and 1818 controls). Marine heatwaves in the western Mediterranean: Considerations for coastal aquaculture adaptation

Climate change threatens marine aquaculture, impacting fish health and farming practices through extreme events such as ocean warming and marine heatwaves. These events can compound the effects of other stressors, necessitating adaptive measures for sustainable aquaculture, such as submergible cages. We harnessed ocean reanalysis products to enhance our understanding of ocean warming and marine heatwaves in key fish farming areas in the Western Mediterranean, focusing on fish welfare thermal thresholds that inform mitigation measures. Our analyses revealed a consistent temperature increase across depths and farms over four decades, notably peaking at 0.75 °C per decade in some areas. Marine heatwaves have become three times more frequent, with nearly 50% longer durations on average compared to the 1980s. This included the most severe event experienced in 2022, with anomalies up to 4.2 °C lasting the entire summer. Fish welfare thermal thresholds exceeded the average depth of pen net systems and increased by 4.3 m per decade. Moreover, the seasonal onset of thermal thresholds shifted 5 to 6 days earlier per decade. To secure optimal conditions for seabream and seabass, net pens should be submerged to depths of around 20 m and 15 m, respectively, ideally in the second week of July. However, in shallow areas, this may not be feasible. Our findings raise concerns about the well-being of Mediterranean farmed fish, which, although adapted to current conditions, may struggle to thrive under recent and projected environmental changes. Activity contexts and child-directed speech in socioeconomically diverse argentinian households

This study examines the quantity and quality of child-directed speech across household activities in a socioeconomically diverse sample of Argentinian Spanish-speaking children, an understudied population. Thirty children (mean: 14.3 months) and their families were audio-recorded for four hours. The middle two hours were transcribed and analysed using computerised language analysis (CLAN) to: (a) calculate lexical quantity (tokens) lexical diversity (VOCD) and syntactic complexity (MLU); (b) identify nouns and verbs. The procedures also involve the coding of regulative versus referential utterances and ongoing activities with defined spatial and temporal boundaries ?feeding, play, booksharing, grooming and household chores? as well as calculating the proportion of 21 types of concrete nouns and action verbs. Regression analysis showed effects of SES and type of activity on: (a) the quantity, lexical diversity and syntactic complexity of child-directed speech; (b) the proportion of referential and regulative utterances addressed to the child; (c) certain degree of semantic regularity in word-activity associations; and (d) an effect of SES on a variety of nouns and verbs (e.g. toys; utensils). These results highlight qualitative differences in input across daily activities and the contribution of SES to variance in lexical diversity and word semantics. Documentation and artistic production in the Yucatecan culture. Archive of experiences

[EN] This paper presents and analyzes an artistic project conducted by both authors during a residence in Yucatán, Mexico, 2016. The project, entitled Portrait' in' 25.'Mapping'Memories' between' Tunkás' and' Izamal is driven by the need to know and explore different places through personal experiences, to discover micropolitical sources and analyze the artist's involvement as an external agent in an 'unknown' local context. Through this work we find a chance to participate in a different context and convey the meaning of the set of rules that frame their memory, cultural identity and common spaces. It was launched through anthropological and ethnographic strategies, in a rather light and amateur sense, to offer a suitable playground for interviews, fieldwork and, the gathering of objects and documents. All at once these strategies allow us to develop a plastic work in which photography, audiovisual, performance and editing are an essential part for the interpretation and reinterpretation of the individuals, and the context we inhabit. We go across physical space and collect objects seemingly insignificant or unnoticed to put them under another point of view. In the course of these actions the recognition of micropolitical issues is awakened as a symptom of global positions and, at the same time, we discover how global realities affect the local context.[ES] Esta comunicación presenta y analiza un proyecto artístico llevado a cabo por ambas autoras durante una estancia en Yucatán, México en 2016.El proyecto, titulado : “Retrato en 25. Cartografiando memorias entre Tunkás e Izamal” se mueve por la necesidad de conocer y explorar diferentes lugares a través de la experiencia personal, descubrir las raíces de lo micropolítico y analizar la implicación del artista como agente externo en un contexto local ‘desconocido’. A través de este trabajo encontramos la posibilidad de participar en un contexto diferente, interpretando los códigos que construyen la memoria, la identidad cultural y los espacios comunes.Se puso en marcha mediante estrategias de las ramas antropológica y etnográfica, que desde una perspectiva diletante y liviana ofrecen el terreno de juegos adecuado para realizar entrevistas, trabajo de campo y recolección de objetos y documental.Estrategias que a la vez nos permiten desarrollar un trabajo plástico en el que la fotografía, el audiovisual, la acción y la edición son parte esencial para la interpretación y reinterpretación de los individuos y el contexto en el que habitamos. Recorremos el espacio físico y recolectamos objetos que rozan lo insignificante o desapercibido para ponerlos bajo otra óptica. A polygenic risk score based on a cardioembolic stroke multitrait analysis improves a clinical prediction model for this stroke subtype

Background: Occult atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the major causes of embolic stroke of undetermined source (ESUS). Knowing the underlying etiology of an ESUS will reduce stroke recurrence and/or unnecessary use of anticoagulants. Understanding cardioembolic strokes (CES), whose main cause is AF, will provide tools to select patients who would benefit from anticoagulants among those with ESUS or AF. We aimed to discover novel loci associated with CES and create a polygenetic risk score (PRS) for a more efficient CES risk stratification. Methods: Multitrait analysis of GWAS (MTAG) was performed with MEGASTROKE-CES cohort ( Results: We found and replicated eleven loci associated with CES. Eight were novel loci. Seven of them had been previously associated with AF, namely, Conclusion: The loci found significantly associated with CES in the MTAG, together with the creation of a PRS that improves the predictive clinical models of CES, might help guide future clinical trials of anticoagulant therapy in patients with ESUS or AF

Tensiones del curriculum en la escuela secundaria

El Proyecto focaliza el perfil del egresado del Instituto de Educación Media “Dr. A. Oñativia” perteneciente a la Universidad Nacional de Salta y ubicado en zona urbana de la capital de Salta. Sus objetivos analizan dicho perfil, con el fin de caracterizar de manera situada y contextuada las competencias educativas que se prescriben desde el curriculum formal y las configuraciones de las prácticas de enseñanza, como sus posibles efectos en los trayectos académicos y / o laborales. Adhiere a la perspectiva del paradigma cualitativo de investigación, asumiendo un enfoque interpretativo, proponiéndose análisis multirreferenciado sobre la formación de competencias educativas en voz de los propios protagonistas estudiantes y egresados recientes. Desde los resultados e impactos esperados, tendemos a producir conocimientos sobre las tensiones del curriculum y los formatos escolares de las prácticas de enseñanza de la escuela secundaria, en contornos sociales de nuevas configuraciones discursivas. Reflexionar y movilizar a los estudiantes y egresados recientes sobre los trayectos académicos y / o laborales construidos, en la necesidad de su retroalimentación o resignificación ante las características del contexto, lo que nos alerta sobre las tradiciones que posiblemente permanecen en las mismas, más allá de las transformaciones y renovaciones que se propiciaron por la obligatoriedad de la escuela secundaria.Especialización en Docencia Universitari
