Propiedades mecánicas de mezclas bituminosas en caliente fabricadas con áridos reciclados de residuos de construcción y demolición
The mix design for asphalt mixtures containing recycled aggregates from construction and demolition debris was evaluated. The tests conducted to characterize the mechanical behaviour of these mixtures showed that the mechanical properties of mixtures with recycled and virgin aggregate are similar. The asphalt mixtures containing recycled aggregate proved to have lower resistance to water action. Nonetheless, recycled aggregate was found to be potentially usable in asphalt mixtures if higher quality materials are selected and such low resistance is corrected. This will call for expanding upon the preliminary work described in the present article.En este trabajo se dosificaron mezclas bituminosas fabricadas con áridos reciclados de residuos de construcción y demolición. Se realizaron una serie de ensayos que permitieron caracterizar el comportamiento mecánico de estas mezclas. Los parámetros mecánicos de las mezclas con áridos reciclados son similares a los de las mezclas fabricadas únicamente con áridos naturales de cantera. Sin embargo, las mezclas bituminosas con áridos reciclados tuvieron un mal comportamiento frente a la disminución de la resistencia por pérdida de cohesión por la acción del agua. No obstante, mediante la selección de materiales de mejor calidad y corrección de este mal comportamiento, existen posibilidades de utilizar áridos reciclados en mezclas bituminosas. Para ello será necesario ampliar la primera aproximación realizada en este artículo
Pretransitional phenomena in dilute crystals with first-order phase transition
Pretransitional phenomena at first-order phase transition in crystals diluted
by 'neutral' impurities (analogue of nonmagnetic atoms in dilute magnets) are
considered. It is shown that field dependence of order parameter becomes
nonanalytical in the stability region of the ordered phase, while smeared jumps
of thermodynamic parameters and anomalous (non-exponential) relaxation appear

Social networking site use in young adolescents: association with health-related quality of life and behavioural difficulties
Despite Social Networking Sites (SNS) having a minimum age of 13, younger adolescents are using them. In this study, we examine self-reported overall SNS use and SNS use if awake at night in relation to Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL, measured by KIDSCREEN-10) and behaviour (measured by Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, SDQ) in 5229 adolescents aged 11–12 in the Study of Cognition, Adolescents and Mobile Phones (SCAMP) cohort. Two-thirds of the study population used SNS. Weekday and weekend SNS use on mobile phones and other devices was significantly associated with lower HRQOL in females (all p-values for linear trend < 0.01) but not males. Using SNS if awake at night was also significantly associated with lower HRQOL in females (adjusted β-coefficient - 2.20 (95% CI - 3.18, - 1.22)). Higher SNS use on mobile phones and other devices was associated with increased behavioural difficulties in both genders (p-value for trend < 0.001). Similarly, SNS use if awake at night was associated with greater behavioural difficulties (adjusted β-coefficient 2.54 (95% CI 2.09, 2.98)). We recommend further longitudinal research in this area in order have a better understanding of the direction of relationships between SNS and wellbeing and behaviour in adolescents
High-pressure phase and transition phenomena in ammonia borane NH3BH3 from X-ray diffraction, Landau theory, and ab initio calculations
Structural evolution of a prospective hydrogen storage material, ammonia
borane NH3BH3, has been studied at high pressures up to 12 GPa and at low
temperatures by synchrotron powder diffraction. At 293 K and above 1.1 GPa a
disordered I4mm structure reversibly transforms into a new ordered phase. Its
Cmc21 structure was solved from the diffraction data, the positions of N and B
atoms and the orientation of NH3 and BH3 groups were finally assigned with the
help of density functional theory calculations. Group-theoretical analysis
identifies a single two-component order parameter, combining ordering and
atomic displacement mechanisms, which link an orientationally disordered parent
phase I4mm with ordered distorted Cmc21, Pmn21 and P21 structures. We propose a
generic phase diagram for NH3BH3, mapping three experimentally found and one
predicted (P21) phases as a function of temperature and pressure, along with
the evolution of the corresponding structural distortions. Ammonia borane
belongs to the class of improper ferroelastics and we show that both
temperature- and pressure-induced phase transitions can be driven to be of the
second order. The role of N-H...H-B dihydrogen bonds and other intermolecular
interactions in the stability of NH3BH3 polymorphs is examined.Comment: 23 pages, 7 figure
On critical behavior of phase transitions in certain antiferromagnets with complicated ordering
Within the four-loop \ve expansion, we study the critical behavior of
certain antiferromagnets with complicated ordering. We show that an anisotropic
stable fixed point governs the phase transitions with new critical exponents.
This is supported by the estimate of critical dimensionality
obtained from six loops via the exact relation established

Dynamical differential equations compatible with rational qKZ equations
For the Lie algebra we introduce a system of differential operators
called the dynamical operators. We prove that the dynamical differential
operators commute with the rational quantized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov
difference operators. We describe the transformations of the dynamical

The article is conceptual and based on a review of the broader literature on career success, appearance and attractiveness. It explores the evidence for a relationship between attractiveness and career, and the authors propose a conceptual framework in which career image is comprised of three elements (interpersonal skills, aesthetic presentation and beauty). The paper examines a possible role for career professionals in relation to this and then critically examines this role and concludes with the proposition of a research agenda in this area
Critical behavior of three-dimensional magnets with complicated ordering from three-loop renormalization-group expansions
The critical behavior of a model describing phase transitions in 3D
antiferromagnets with 2N-component real order parameters is studied within the
renormalization-group (RG) approach. The RG functions are calculated in the
three-loop order and resummed by the generalized Pade-Borel procedure
preserving the specific symmetry properties of the model. An anisotropic stable
fixed point is found to exist in the RG flow diagram for N > 1 and lies near
the Bose fixed point; corresponding critical exponents are close to those of

Limits of Gaudin algebras, quantization of bending flows, Jucys--Murphy elements and Gelfand--Tsetlin bases
Gaudin algebras form a family of maximal commutative subalgebras in the
tensor product of copies of the universal enveloping algebra U(\g) of a
semisimple Lie algebra \g. This family is parameterized by collections of
pairwise distinct complex numbers . We obtain some new commutative
subalgebras in U(\g)^{\otimes n} as limit cases of Gaudin subalgebras. These
commutative subalgebras turn to be related to the hamiltonians of bending flows
and to the Gelfand--Tsetlin bases. We use this to prove the simplicity of

Morphometric and microstructural characteristics of hippocampal subfields in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy and their correlates with mnemonic discrimination.
Pattern separation (PS) is a fundamental aspect of memory creation that defines the ability to transform similar memory representations into distinct ones, so they do not overlap when storing and retrieving them. Experimental evidence in animal models and the study of other human pathologies have demonstrated the role of the hippocampus in PS, in particular of the dentate gyrus (DG) and CA3. Patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis (MTLE-HE) commonly report mnemonic deficits that have been associated with failures in PS. However, the link between these impairments and the integrity of the hippocampal subfields in these patients has not yet been determined. The aim of this work is to explore the association between the ability to perform mnemonic functions and the integrity of hippocampal CA1, CA3, and DG in patients with unilateral MTLE-HE.
To reach this goal we evaluated the memory of patients with an improved object mnemonic similarity test. We then analyzed the hippocampal complex structural and microstructural integrity using diffusion weighted imaging.
Our results indicate that patients with unilateral MTLE-HE present alterations in both volume and microstructural properties at the level of the hippocampal subfields DG, CA1, CA3, and the subiculum, that sometimes depend on the lateralization of their epileptic focus. However, none of the specific changes was found to be directly related to the performance of the patients in a pattern separation task, which might indicate a contribution of various alterations to the mnemonic deficits or the key contribution of other structures to the function.
