    The Role of Perceived Uncertainty, Ego Identity, and Perceived Behavioral Control in Predicting Patient's Attitude Toward Medical Surgery

    Medical surgery has sometimes become the only best choice for a patient's well-being. Unfortunately, not all patients have the willingness to live it. Often, therapeutic failure is caused by uncooperative attitudes of the patients which originate from their negative attitudes toward the surgery. This research is aimed at finding a theoretical model to explain psychological factors forming the patient's attitudes. This predictive correlational research was conducted on 99 patients suffering heart disease and cancer continuum who require medical surgery in DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. Research results showed that a commitment aspect of ego identity is able to indirectly predict attitude toward medical surgery through mediation of perceived uncertainty. Perceived behavioral control directly predicts the attitude in a negative direction. This research concludes that patients' commitment towards their identity plays a significant role as they deal with medical surgery

    Success Evaluation Program for Water Supply and Sanitation is a community based program to meet the needs of local communities in need of clean water and sanitation are maintained and made independently from both government and the public and private sectors. The purpose of this study to analyze the PAMSIMAS program evaluation in the implementation and improvement effort against obstacles PAMSIMAS program through performance indicator targets of the program. This program evaluation factors concerning the implementing organizations, programs, and beneficiaries while efforts to improve the program's success factors regarding the organization's decision-making process, the requirements of the task and authority, the competence of the executive staff, the expression of the demands.     Pengaruh Waktu Fermentasi Menggunakan Lactobacillus Plantarum Terhadap Kandungan Protein Pada Tepung Mosof (Modified Sorghum Flour)

    Sumber karbohidrat yang paling banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat Indonesia adalah beras dan terigu. Ketika permintaan pasar semakin meningkat sedangkan ketersediaan bahan terbatas akan terjadi permasalahan baru yaitu kelangkaan bahan pangan tersebut. Salah satu alternatif pemecah masalah kelangkaan bahan pangan adalah melalui substitusi dengan sorgum atau sering disebut dengan MOSOF (modified sorghum flour). Sorgum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) merupakan salah satu sumber karbohidrat. Pada proses fermentasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kandungan protein terhadap waktu fermentasi. Pada penelitian kali ini fermentasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan mikroorganisme yaitu Lactobacillus plantarum. Dari hasil uji counting chamber ditetapkan jumlah sel mikroorganisme yang digunakan sebanyak 107 sel/ml, pada bakteri Lactobacillus plantarum pemanenan starter dilakukan pada jam ke 2,5. Dari data hasil laboratorium didapatkan data untuk sorgum yang difermentasi menggunakan Lactobacilus plantarum menurunkan protein dari 9,819 + 0,766 menjadi 7,428 + 0,931 %

Telur EMAS was adding garlic when the production, that as known proven to make cholesterol become lower. That we realize the cholesterol of salt egg were so high 2.188mg/100gram, the requirement of the body are 1.100mg/day.     Modeling of Vertical Greenery System As Passive Design Strategy for Mitigating Indoor Temperature

    The rapid development in developing countries causes decreasing in the green area which leads to the environmental problem. Increasing heat transfer in the building envelope push more energy, especially for air conditioning. Although vertical greenery system is not a new concept, however, the building planners do not use it as one of an alternative design for energy saving yet. This paper will present a study on the office building with vertical greenery system as a building envelope in the tropical area, Indonesia. Data collection was done during summer time, in October 2013. There is two data analysis, based on the field measurement and Ecotect simulation. The result indicates that during data measurement at 05.00 a.m – 06.00 p.m. chamber with vertical greenery system has cooler surface temperatures and smaller in heat transfer. The peak temperatures of the exterior and interior facade with vertical greenery system are 29.13∘C and 25.41∘C, respectively. While for bare wall facade are 32.30∘C for exterior facade and 30.79∘C for the interior facade. The results from the study proved that applying vertical greenery system on the building facade can reduce the heat transfer from the exterior facade to the interior facade

    Perancangan Anticlimber sebagai Perangkat Crashworthiness untuk Kereta Penumpang Indonesia

    Anticlimber merupakan komponen pengaman untuk meningkatkan aspek crashworthiness, yang berfungsi khusus mencegah terjadinya fenomena overriding (tumpang tindih) saat tumburan kereta api yang dapat menyebabkan dampak jatuhnya korban jiwa yang signifikan. Sebagai rangkaian riset dan pengembangan untuk menerapkan teknologi crashworthiness pada kereta penumpang nasional, dikembangkan rancangan anticlimber yang sesuai dengan kereta penumpang produk industri nasional saat ini. Rancangan menggunakan konsep ribs terpisah yang dipasang pada kedua ujung kereta tepat di kanan dan kiri coupler. Anticlimber dirancanga sehingga dapat diintegrasikan dengan mudah tanpa terlalu lama mengganggu operasional KA, dan dapat diproduksi di dalam negeri dan tentunya efektif menahan gerakan vertikal (climbing) antar kereta. Analisis keefektifan rancangan anticlimber ini diuji dengan simulasi beban statik maupun beban dinamik berdasarkan kriteria standar internasional, yaitu BS EN 13227 yang dinilai paling lengkap mengatur aspek crashworthiness di perkeretaapian. Dari analisis kekuatan statik yang telah dilakukan, terbukti bahwa rancangan mampu menahan beban gaya longitudinal 60 tonf (177,6 kN) dan gaya angkat vertikal 12 tonf (588 kN) dan saat terjadi tumburan. Sedangkan dari simulasi dinamik pada kecepatan tumburan 10 m/s (36 km/jam), sesuai kriteria BS EN, dan kecepatan tinggi 20 m/s (72 km/jam), keberadaan anticlimber terbukti memenuhi standar dan mampu menurunkan kemungkinan terjadinya tumpang tindih, dibandingkan jika tanpa antilimber.     The Genome of Deep-Sea Vent Chemolithoautotroph Thiomicrospira crunogena XCL-2

    Presented here is the complete genome sequence of Thiomicrospira crunogena XCL-2, representative of ubiquitous chemolithoautotrophic sulfur-oxidizing bacteria isolated from deep-sea hydrothermal vents. This gammaproteobacterium has a single chromosome (2,427,734 base pairs), and its genome illustrates many of the adaptations that have enabled it to thrive at vents globally. It has 14 methyl-accepting chemotaxis protein genes, including four that may assist in positioning it in the redoxcline. A relative abundance of coding sequences (CDSs) encoding regulatory proteins likely control the expression of genes encoding carboxysomes, multiple dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphate transporters, as well as a phosphonate operon, which provide this species with a variety of options for acquiring these substrates from the environment. Thiom. crunogena XCL-2 is unusual among obligate sulfur-oxidizing bacteria in relying on the Sox system for the oxidation of reduced sulfur compounds. The genome has characteristics consistent with an obligately chemolithoautotrophic lifestyle, including few transporters predicted to have organic allocrits, and Calvin-Benson-Bassham cycle CDSs scattered throughout the genome
