    Use of a weighted matching algorithm to sequence clusters in spatial join processing

    One of the most expensive operations in a spatial database is spatial join processing. This study focuses on how to improve the performance of such processing. The main objective is to reduce the Input/Output (I/O) cost of the spatial join process by using a technique called cluster-scheduling. Generally, the spatial join is processed in two steps, namely filtering and refinement. The cluster-scheduling technique is performed after the filtering step and before the refinement step and is part of the housekeeping phase. The key point of this technique is to realise order wherein two consecutive clusters in the sequence have maximal overlapping objects. However, finding the maximal overlapping order has been shown to be Nondeterministic Polynomial-time (NP)-complete. This study proposes an algorithm to provide approximate maximal overlapping (AMO) order in a Cluster Overlapping (CO) graph. The study proposes the use of an efficient maximum weighted matching algorithm to solve the problem of finding AMO order. As a result, the I/O cost in spatial join processing can be minimised

    Persoalan yang dihadapi siswa dalam belajar agama Islam khususnya siswa yang berkemampuan rendah adalah rasa bosan atau jenuh, dan kurangnya perhatian. . Oleh karena itu, guru secara sadar senantiasa mencari dan menciptakan cara untuk membuat siswa siap belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam menggunakan media bergambar “ Ipin Upin “ pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Terong Tawah Kec. Labuapi Kabupaten Lombok Barat “  Tahun  Pelajaran 2019  / 2020. Penelitian menggunakan model penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus. Berdasarkan sebaran hasil dari masing-masing siklus mulai dari siklus pertama sampai dengan siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dengan tingkat ketuntasan, yaitu 96% atau melebihi target ketuntasan yang ditetapkan sebelumnya yaitu 85% secara klasikal.     The implementation of video clip in teaching English vocabulary

    This study aimed at explaining the implementation of video clip to teach English vocabulary for Elementary students. Besides, this study also focused to investigate the barrier of implementation of video clip to each vocabulary. This study applied descriptive qualitative method to display the result of the research. The collection of data was conducted with two instruments: written exercise and interview. The written test consists of 20 questions that must be answered by students at the time. Furthermore, the written test was used to investigate about how the progress was made by students using this kind of method and how good students catch information from the media. Meanwhile, interview was used to gather data from the teacher of the students. There was only one English teacher that was interviewed to collect the necessarily data. There were 26 populations in a class at SD Al- Irsyad Al- Islamiyah Semarang. Based on the result of the data collection, it turned out that 66% out of 26 students could successfully implement this method in learning. In the other hand, 34% out of 26 students did not show significant progress in learning using this method. The barrier found out from the implementation of this method was the lack of Students awareness to catch the information from the video rather than watch the pictures displayed

    This research aimed to analyze the Propertu Zakat Service at Amil Zakat Agency (BAZ) Palu Central Sulawesi Tengah Province. This research was conducted for 3 (three) months from March to June 2012, it’s location was on the office of Amil Zakat Agency (BAZ) Palu Central Sulawesi Province. Informants in this research were 13 persons consisted of 3 employees of BAZ Palu, 3 persons as obligatory zakat or muzakki in Palu Timur District, 3 persons as obligatory zakat or muzakki in Palu Barat district, 2 persons as zakat recipient or mustahik in Palu Timur distric, 2 persons as zakat recipient or mustahik in Palu Barat distric. Selecting sample used purposive sampling technique where the 13 persons selected as informants. Techniques of data collection in this research used observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative. This research used the theory of zeithaml who mentioned some indicators in service consisted of reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and tangibles. The results of the research showed the property zakat service at amil zakat agency (BAZ) Palu central Sulawesi province has not been running effectively.it can be seen from the service included socialization, human resources, more facilities showed ineffectiveness of the indicators were chosen as questions of interview guideline

    Permasalahan utama penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuanVO2max pemain sepak bola SMA Negeri 1 Ampibabo Kabupaten Parigi Moutong.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan VO2max dengan latihan smallside games. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain sepak bola SMA Negeri 1Ampibabo Kabupaten Parigi Moutong yang berjumlah 25 orang siswa yang diambildengan menggunakan total sampling. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen lapangandengan satu variable bebas yaitu latihan small side games serta satu variable terikatyaitu kemampuan VO2max.Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t tentang kemampuan VO2max pemain sepakbola SMA Negeri Ampibabo Kabupaten Parigi Moutong dapat diperoleh nilai tobservasisebesar 8,761 lebih besar dari t-tabel 2,045 dengan tingkat probabilitas (P)0,000 atau lebih kecil dari nilai α 0,05 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, berarti adapengaruh yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan latihan small side games.Untuk membuktikan peningkatan kemampuan VO2max dibuktikan dengan nilairata-rata 38,573 : 41,887 dengan hasil tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan nilai ratarata3,314 setelah perlakuan latihan small side games pemain sepak bola SMANegeri Ampibabo Kabupaten Parigi Moutong.Kata Kunci : Small side games dan kemampuan VO2max

    Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Tematik dan Gaya Belajar Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas II

    Thematic learning model is a learning model that students pay attention to SD/MI that frame of mind is still intact, and the understanding of the concept are through the real world and based to the students lives. In this study the researcher focus to the model of learning interaction and learning styles on learning outcomes. The researcher used experimental study. The study population was all students in second student grade. The sample amounted to 90 students from both MI, it means that the researcher used purposive sampling, where all students are included on certain conditions. The collected data were statistically processed using the techniques of inferential analysis of variance (Anova) two-factor 2 x 2. The results of this study, (1) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who use thematic learning and conventional learning, (2) there are differences in student learning outcomes that have a stylish visual, auditory and kinesthetic, and (3) there is no interaction between learning models and styles learning on learning outcomes. Descriptive Statistics show that the application of thematic learning (mean 80.49) and the conventional learning (mean 77.87). And mean learning outcomes based on visual learning style is 84.81, auditory learning style is 73.48, and kinesthetic learning styles is 75.09. Based on the research findings, it is recommended to the elementary school teachers to apply the thematic instructional strategies in the instruction to improve student learning achievement. The characteristic of thematic strategy can empower student to learn optimally and support the student learning achievement.Keywords: Thematic Learning Model, Learning Styles and Student Learning Outcome

    Aerosol Particle Bounding in Cascade Impactors

    Particle deposition characteristics were observed from the aerosol sampling results of a UNICO cascade impactor. A simple model of particle motion combined with Hiemenz flow of stagnation flow on a flat plate were developed and discussed. Both results and analysis were compared to recent models on particle bouncing errors or secondary deposition which included vortices formation around the edge of the slot, back spin (Magnus effect), and hydrodynamic conditions of the particles. The analysis was limited to a laminar inviscid and incompressible case. The main obstacle in the observation was the fact that impactor nozzles were unsymmetrical to a considerable degree, thereby deviating particle trajectory significantly from the predicted situation
