"Mun mielestä musiikkia pitää osata hahmottaa myös korvalla" : Melodiadiktaatin teettämiseen käytetyt menetelmät ja oppilaiden ongelmat melodiadiktaatin kirjoittamisessa

Melodiadiktaatti on musiikkioppilaitoksissa yleisesti käytetty tapa harjoittaa melodian kuulonvaraista hahmottamista. Musiikin perusteiden opettajilla on paljon erilaisia menetelmiä käytössään, kun he teettävät oppilaille melodiadiktaatteja. Itse musiikin perusteita opettaneena olen myös huomannut, että oppilailla on usein ongelmia saada kirjoitettua esittämäni melodiat oikein. Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on selvittää, millaisia erilaisia menetelmiä musiikin perusteiden opettajat käyttävät melodiadiktaattien teettämiseen ja millaisia ongelmia he ovat havainneet omilla oppilaillaan melodiadiktaattien kirjoittamisessa. Tein teemahaastattelun eräässä musiikkioppilaitoksessa kevään 2016 aikana ja käytin haastatteluista saatua materiaalia tulosten analysointiin. Haastattelin sekä musiikin perusteiden opettajia, että musiikin perusteiden opettajiksi opiskelevia henkilöitä. Taustatutkimuksena kartoitin lapsen musiikillista kehitystä melodian, harmonian ja laulun kehittymisen näkökulmasta. Lisäksi selvitin, millainen melodiadiktaatti on yleisesti prosessina. Lopuksi peilaan haastatteluaineistosta saatuja tuloksia tähän kontekstiin.Melodic dictation is commonly used manner to practice aural skills. Teachers of music theory use number of various teaching methods when they assign students melodic dictation. Teaching music theory myself, I have noticed that students often have difficulties to write down melodies presented to them correctly. The purpose of this thesis is to find out what kind of methods are used among music theory teachers when assigning melodic dictation and what kind of problems their students have encountered when writing down melodic dictation presented to them. I made an interview at one of the music institutions during Spring 2016 and I used material received from interviews to analyze the results. I interviewed both music theory teachers and students to become music theory teachers.  As a background research I searched material about children's musical development through the angle of melody, harmony and singing development. In addition I investigated what is melody dictation in general as a process. Lastly I reflect received and analyzed data to this context

100-year Anniversary of the Birth of V.J. Sukselainen, Founder of Väestöliitto

Vieno Johannes Sukselainen was born in Paimio on 12 October 1906. His mother was a single woman who worked as a seamstress. Sukselainen matriculated from high school in 1927 and earned his masters degree in 1931. Sukselainens doctoral dissertation, Co-operatives as a business model, was approved in 1939. Sukselainen traveled to various countries during the 1930s to conduct research for his dissertation, including Germany, Switzerland, France and Sweden. He was actively involved in student politics and later in the 1930s also got involved in the activities of the Agrarian League. Although neither farmer nor Member of Parliament, Sukselainen was elected chairman of the Agrarian League in 1945. His chairmanship lasted nearly two decades, until 1964, and his contributions were mainly in the area of political economy and social policy. Sukselainen was a member of parliament almost without interruption from 1948 to 1978, and was Speaker in 1956-58, 1968-69 and 1972-75. Sukselainen occupied the post of Minister of Finance in 1950-51 and 1954, Minister of the Interior in 1951-53, and Prime Minister in 1957 and 1959-61. He also served as a university lecturer and professor of political economy throughout the 1940s and 50s, director of the Social Insurance Institution of Finland in 1954-71 and Chancellor of the University of Tampere in 1969-78. A founder of the Family Federation, Sukselainen was also its ? rst chairman from 1941 until 1971.Sukselainen and Elma Bondn, M.A., married on 6 July 1938 and had four children.V.J. Asentohoito ja passiiviset liikeharjoitukset osana kuntouttavaa hoitotyötä : Ohje PKSSK:n teho-osaston hoitohenkilöhenkilökunnalle

Tehohoidossa oleva potilas on vaikeasti sairas, ja potilaan tila on usein kriittinen. Potilaan voinnissa voi ilmaantua ennakoimattomia muutoksia. Tehohoito ja potilaan sairaus vaikuttavat hänen liikunta- ja toimintakykyynsä joko tilapäisesti tai pysyvästi. Parhaaseen tulokseen potilaan kuntouttavassa hoitotyössä päästään, kun yhdessä fysioterapian kanssa suunnitellaan asentohoito ja liikehoito. Hoitaja on merkittävässä asemassa potilaan kuntoutumisen tukemisessa. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli lisätä Pohjois-Karjalan keskussairaalan teho-osaston hoitohenkilökunnan tietoisuutta asentohoidosta ja passiivisista liikeharjoituksista. Halusimme auttaa heitä toteuttamaan asentohoitoa ja liikehoitoa oikein. Opinnäytetyön tehtävänä oli laatia ohje asentohoidosta ja passiivisista liikeharjoituksista hoitohenkilökunnalle. Ohje oli havainnollistettu kuvilla, jotka otimme toisistamme teho-osaston tiloissa. Painotimme työssämme teho-osaston ympäristöstä ja potilaiden vakavasta sairaudesta johtuvia haasteita. Tuotimme opinnäytetyön toiminnallisena osuutena erilliset ohjeet asentohoidosta ja passiivisista liikeharjoituksista Valitsimme ohjeeseen yleisimmin käytössä olevat, tärkeimmät asennot ja liikeharjoitukset. Ohjeessa kerroimme myös asentohoidon ja liikehoidon vaikutuksista potilaalle. Ohje on tarkoitettu hoitohenkilökunnan käyttöön teho-osastolle. Hoitajat voivat lisäksi halutessaan käyttää ohjetta uusien työntekijöiden perehdytyksen apuvälineenä.A patient in intensive care is severely ill and in often in critical state. Unexpected changes may occur in patient’s condition. Intensive care and patient’s illness affect to his/her motility and ability to function either temporarily or permanently. The best result in rehabilitative nursing will be accomplished when position management and range of motion exercises are planned together with physiotherapy. Nurse has a major role in supporting patient’s rehabilitation. The purpose of the thesis was to increase nursing personnel’s awareness about position management and passive range of motion exercises in the ICU of the North Karelian central hospital. We wanted to help them implement position management and passive range of motion exercises properly. Mission of the thesis was to make a guide for nursing personnel about position management and passive range of motion exercises. The guide was demonstrated with photos which we took of each other in the ICU. In our work we emphasized the challenges caused by the ICU environment and severe illness of the patients. As functional part of the thesis we produced separate instructions about position man-agement and passive range of motion exercises. We chose to put most commonly used and the most important positions and range of motion exercises to the guide. We also told about the effects of position management and passive range of motion exercises to the patient. Guide is meant for personnel’s use in the ICU. If wanted, nurses can also use the guide as a tool when inducting new employers

Observation and analysis of Fano-like lineshapes in the Raman spectra of molecules adsorbed at metal interfaces

Surface enhanced Raman spectra from molecules (bipyridyl ethylene) adsorbed on gold dumbells are observed to become increasingly asymmetric (Fano-like) at higher incident light intensity. The electronic temperature (inferred from the anti-Stokes (AS) electronic Raman signal increases at the same time while no vibrational AS scattering is seen. These observations are analyzed by assuming that the molecule-metal coupling contains an intensity dependent contribution (resulting from light-induced charge transfer transitions as well as renormalization of the molecule metal tunneling barrier). We find that interference between vibrational and electronic inelastic scattering routes is possible in the presence of strong enough electron-vibrational coupling and can in principle lead to the observed Fano-like feature in the Raman scattering profile. However the best fit to the observed results, including the dependence on incident light intensity and the associated thermal response is obtained from a model that disregards this coupling and accounts for the structure of the continuous electronic component of the Raman scattering signal. The temperatures inferred from the Raman signal are argued to be only of qualitative value.Comment: 20 pages, 12 figure
