Background and Aim: Lack of identity and a sense of attachment to housing are some of the hidden problems that enhance long-term feelings of hopelessness in the inhabitants of these environments. The mental-emotional relationship with the environment leads to the increase of the environment life quality. The purpose of this study is to be aware of mental quality of housing in the inhabitants of Zahedan independent housing and to identify the qualitative factors influencing the residents' identity in their residential environment. Materials and Method: The purpose of this study was applied in terms of purpose and survey in terms of method. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire and its validity was confirmed by face validity and its reliability coefficient was 0.78 using Cronbach's alpha test. The statistical population of the study consisted of residents of some areas in Zahedan city and the sample size was 240 that were distributed and completed. Findings and Results: The hypotheses test showed that the variables such as attachment to place, satisfaction, sense of belonging, explain the semantic dimension of place identity and have a significant and positive relationship with the form quality of housing is affected by the cognitive dimensions of residents. The results showed that the mean of individuals' identity to their living space was 1 <3.17> 5 which was higher than average. The results indicate that the significance level of the test for all variables except memory is less than 5% error level. It can be said that the degree of identity of sense of attachment to place and satisfaction varies in different regions, but the degree of memory in different regions is not different. The LSD post hoc test was also applied to investigate whether identity, sense of belonging, attachment to place, and satisfaction were different in the two regions. Finally, the results showed that there was a significant difference in identity in some regions. Background and Aim: Lack of identity and a sense of attachment to housing are some of the hidden problems that enhance long-term feelings of hopelessness in the inhabitants of these environments. One of the basic human needs is the need for belonging. In the field of architecture, this need finds meaning in the form of place and first place known to man is house and his residence. Native materials are rooted in the culture and the past of people in a country, and are part of social indications. Having its own color, texture and form may increase visibility and physical contrast in the image of cities and can be effective in the knowledge and understanding of the environment and promoting place attachment. In this paper, with the aim of increasing the quality of life in the residential complex, research has been done associated with place attachment- one of the indicators of high quality environment quality. The research method was descriptive–analytical. Questionnaires were developed according to the purpose and content of the study. The research has been carried out with 50 samples. The data obtained through the questionnaires were described and analyzed by using software. Finally, the results were extracted, which were classified on the basis of accepting or rejecting hypotheses. It became clear that the questions could prove considered hypotheses. Results show that native materials can generate place attachment as a result of its color, texture, form and visual natural effect

Designing Alternative Housing in an Old Context: Zargandeparsh, Tehran

Today, poor performance in old residential contexts in terms of memorable visual elements reduce the residents’ sense of belonging. The study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. To meet the needs of residents, a questionnaire was distributed among twenty-five experts. Data analysis was performed using fuzzy logic to calculate the weight of each criterion of hierarchical fuzzy (FAHP). According to the findings, the largest weight belonged to social interaction (0.288), physical (0.205) and dependence (0.179). The results showed that social interaction is imperative in increasing the residents’ sense of attachment.© 2016. The Authors. Published for AMER ABRA by e-International Publishing House, Ltd., UK. The Qualitative Interrelation between Open Spaces and Living Standards in a Residential Complex

From the early 50s onwards the major Iranian cities were subject to a massive immigration. The immediate solution to this crisis was residential complex in the less populated areas. After few decades of accommodating a large number of new citizens in these residential complexes, while having a limited open space, created physical, functional, semantic, environmental, and social problems. Today, the new challenge that confronted the designers and architectures of this field is therefore how to improve the quality of both open spaces and the living condition of the inhabitances and at the same time being able to compete in the housing market with budgetary restrictions on their expenditures.© 2016. Hairball in a urethral diverticulum has rarely been reported. These hairballs are usually formed in the diverticulum coated with a hair bearing epithelium and can lead to urinary obstruction or infection. Using laser is a safe way to ablate such stones

Impact of meteorological drought on vegetation in non-irrigated lands

Drought is a natural phenomenon that causes a lot of damages annually in various sectors, including agriculture and natural resources. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of meteorological drought index on vegetation index. For this purpose, the standard precipitation index (SPI) as a meteorological drought index is calculated using the precipitation data of 28 meteorological stations located on the area of Lorestane province, Iran, during the years 1987–2017. Then, the vegetation condition index (VCI) is computed using normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) images that obtained from MODIS images of Terra satellite during 2000–2017. Dry, normal, and wet years were obtained based on the SPI results for 2008, 2013, and 2016, respectively. SPI and VCI were correlated using Pearson's correlation method. The results of the relationship between VCI and SPI showed that the highest Pearson correlation coefficient related to 9-month SPI in November was equal to 0.64. Multivariate linear regression was also performed between SPI and VCI, and the results showed that SPI was significantly correlated with VCI at 5% level over a period of 9 and 12 months. Finally, a confusion matrix was used to evaluate the compliance of the SPI and VCI drought classes. Results showed that the VCI had the highest compliance in the moderate drought class with SPI
