ANALYSIS OF MEASURING TOOLS MAPPING THE BURDEN OF FORMAL CAREGIVERS

Stárnutí populace patří mezi hlavní sociální rizika současné společnosti. Vzhledem ke vzrůstající délce dožití, pokroku v medicíně a zlepšujícím se životním podmínkám je čím dál tím důležitéjší zajištění dostatečných sociálních služeb a s tím spojené i adekvátní personální vybavení, a to zvláště profesionálními pečovateli (pracovníky v přímé péči). Tato profese však bývá neadekvátně financovaná a obvykle spojována se zátěží psychickou, ale také fyzickou a sociální. Předkládaný přehledový článek se zaměřuje na analýzu nástrojů, které se v zahraničí a rámcově i v tuzemských podmínkách používají k měření zátěže formálních pečovatelů. Z 32 měřících nástrojů vznikl přehled 9 oblastí mapujících zátěž formálních pečovatelů. Skrze zmapování zátěže formálních pečovatelů a ošetření potřeb, které v těchto oblastech mají, lze předejít syndromu vyhoření, zvýšené nemocnosti a zároveň preventivně působit v náročných situacích spojených s touto profesí.Population ageing is one of the main social risks in today’s society. Due to increasing life expectancy, progress in medicine, and constantly improving living conditions, provision of social services, especially adequate staffing (above all direct carer’s staffing) is becoming more and more important. However, this profession is often undrepaid and associated with psychic as well as physical and social workload. The submitted review article focuses on analysis of instruments that are used domestically and abroad to measure the level of the caregiver’s workload. Out of 32 measuring instruments, an overview of 9 fields describing the caregiver’s workload was created. Learning about the caregiver’s workload and responding to the needs they have in the above mentioned fields may prevent the burnout syndrome, increased morbidity, and, at the same time, it has preventive effect in various cases that may occur in this demanding job.91

Social Entrepreneurship as an Opportunity for the Employment of Older People on the Labor Market

(in English) The aim of this master's thesis is to find out possibilities of elderly people employment in social businesses in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes a social entrepreneurship, defines it and gives its legal frame and examples of such businesses in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The elderly are defined according to their characteristics and also according to the possible link to long term unemployment. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the overall situation of the elderly in social businesses and on factors possibly affecting their employment in this kind of businesses. It was found out in the research that the selected target group is one of those most at risk on the labour market. At the same time, this group is one of the least supported and monitored not only in the social businesses. However, persons 50+ may become a significant group on the labour market in the future. The final part of this thesis stresses out that it is vital to change our point of view on this target group and their support on the field of active labour market policy, but, above all, to make use of the opportunity to employ these people in social entrepreneurship. Sociální podnikání jako příležitostpro uplatnění starších osob na trhu práce

Tento článek tvoří sumarizaci mé diplomové práce, v níž jsem si dala za cíl zjistit možnosti zaměstnávání starších osob v sociálních podnicích v České republice.V teoretické části byla popsána definice sociálního podnikání, jeho legislativní ukotvení spolu s příklady podniků v Evropě a v České republice. Starší osoby byly vymezeny podle svých charakteristik a také podle možného propojení s dlouhodobou nezaměstnaností.Empirická část se věnovala celkové situaci starších osob v sociálních podnicích a dále možným ovlivňujícím faktorům jejich zaměstnanosti v tomto druhu podniků.Výzkumná rešerše přinesla zjištění, že vybraná cílová skupina patří k nejohroženějším na trhu práce a že se současně jedná o jednuz nejméně podporovaných a sledovaných skupin nejen v sociálních podnicích. Osoby 50+ však s největší pravděpodobností budou v budoucnosti tvořit důležitou skupinu na trhu práce. V závěru práce se tedy klade důraz na změnu pohledu na cílovou skupinu a na nezbytnost jejich podpory nejen v rámci aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti, ale zejména na využití příležitosti zaměstnávání takových osob v sociálním podnikání.This article is a summary of my master’s thesis. Mapping of the workload of social service workers in homes for the elderly

This thesis focuses on mapping out work burden of formal caregivers in social services, above all on cathegories influencing a level of the burden. Its aim is to describe cathegories/areas of work burden of caregivers in retirement homes at standard wards and at wards with a special measures regime, where they take care of clients suffering from dementia. A sub-aim is to find out whether there are differences in perception of the work burden at the two types of wards and differences between work burden at these wards. Based on the conclusion of this thesis, recommendations for the management of retirement homes will be formulated. The research will be conducted in a retirement home which has both types of wards - the standard one and the one with speacial measures regime. Its respondents will be the formal caregivers of these wards. Kategorie starších osob byla vymezena dle jejich charakteristik a také podle možného propojení s dlouhodobou nezaměstnaností. V závěru teoretické části je uvedena i spojitost s Age managementem. Empirická část se věnuje celkové soudobé situaci starších osob v sociálních podnicích a dále možným ovlivňujícím faktorům jejich zaměstnanosti v tomto druhu podniků. Výzkumná rešerše přinesla zjištění, že vybraná cílová skupina patří k nejohroženějším na trhu práce a že se současně jedná o jednu z nejméně podporovaných a sledovaných skupin nejen v sociálních podnicích. Osoby 50+ však s největší pravděpodobností budou v budoucnosti tvořit důležitou skupinu na trhu práce.
