On the Jacobi-Metric Stability Criterion
We investigate the exact relation existing between the stability equation for
the solutions of a mechanical system and the geodesic deviation equation of the
associated geodesic problem in the Jacobi metric constructed via the
Maupertuis-Jacobi Principle. We conclude that the dynamical and geometrical

The seesaw path to leptonic CP violation
Future experiments such as SHiP and high-intensity colliders will
have a superb sensitivity to heavy Majorana neutrinos with masses below .
We show that the measurement of the mixing to electrons and muons of one such
state could imply the discovery of leptonic CP violation in the context of
seesaw models. We quantify in the minimal model the CP discovery potential of
these future experiments, and demonstrate that a 5 CL discovery of
leptonic CP violation would be possible in a very significant fraction of

A study on the interplay between perturbative QCD and CSS/TMD formalism in SIDIS processes
We study the Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) cross section
as a function of the transverse momentum, . In order to describe it over a
wide region of , soft gluon resummation has to be performed. Here we will
use the original Collins-Soper-Sterman (CSS) formalism; however, the same
procedure would hold within the improved Transverse Momentum Dependent (TMD)
framework. We study the matching between the region where fixed order
perturbative QCD can successfully be applied and the region where soft gluon
resummation is necessary. We find that the commonly used prescription of
matching through the so-called Y-factor cannot be applied in the SIDIS
kinematical configurations we examine. In particular, the non-perturbative
component of the resummed cross section turns out to play a crucial role and
should not be overlooked even at relatively high energies. Moreover, the
perturbative expansion of the resummed cross section in the matching region is
not as reliable as it is usually believed and its treatment requires special

Radiative corrections to from three generations of Majorana neutrinos and sneutrinos
In this work we study the radiative corrections to the mass of the lightest
Higgs boson of the MSSM from three generations of Majorana neutrinos and
sneutrinos. The spectrum of the MSSM is augmented by three right handed
neutrinos and their supersymmetric partners. A seesaw mechanism of type I is
used to generate the physical neutrino masses and oscillations that we require
to be in agreement with present neutrino data. We present a full one-loop
computation of these Higgs mass corrections, and analyze in full detail their
numerical size in terms of both the MSSM and the new (s)neutrino parameters. A
critical discussion on the different possible renormalization schemes and their
