Radial Bargmann representation for the Fock space of type B

    Get PDF
Let να,q\nu_{\alpha,q} be the probability and orthogonality measure for the qq-Meixner-Pollaczek orthogonal polynomials, which has appeared in \cite{BEH15} as the distribution of the (α,q)(\alpha,q)-Gaussian process (the Gaussian process of type B) over the (α,q)(\alpha,q)-Fock space (the Fock space of type B). The main purpose of this paper is to find the radial Bargmann representation of να,q\nu_{\alpha,q}. Our main results cover not only the representation of qq-Gaussian distribution by \cite{LM95}, but also of q2q^2-Gaussian and symmetric free Meixner distributions on R\mathbb R. In addition, non-trivial commutation relations satisfied by (α,q)(\alpha,q)-operators are presented.Comment: 13 pages, minor changes have been mad

Kido, S; Hasebe, N; Ishii, Y; Kikuchi, K, AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PHYSIOLOGY-HEART AND CIRCULATORY PHYSIOLOGY, 290(3), H1064-H1070, 2006. "Copyright 2006 by the American Physical Society." publisherThe aim of this study was to investigate what factor determines tachycardia-induced secretion of atrial and brain natriuretic peptides (ANP and BNP, respectively) in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM patients with normal left ventricular (LV) systolic function and intact coronary artery (n = 22) underwent rapid atrial pacing test. The cardiac secretion of ANP and BNP and the lactate extraction ratio (LER) were evaluated by using blood samples from the coronary sinus and aorta. LV end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and the time constant of LV relaxation of tau were measured by a catheter-tip transducer. These parameters were compared with normal controls (n = 8). HCM patients were divided into obstructive (HOCM) and nonobstructive (HNCM) groups. The cardiac secretion of ANP was significantly increased by rapid pacing in HOCM from 384 ± 101 to 1,268 ± 334 pg/ml (P < 0.05); however, it was not significant in control and HNCM groups. In contrast, the cardiac secretion of BNP was fairly constant and rather significantly decreased in HCM (P < 0.01). The cardiac ANP secretion was significantly correlated with changes in LER (r = –0.57, P < 0.01) and tau (r = 0.73, P < 0.001) in HCM patients. Tachycardia potentiates the cardiac secretion of ANP, not BNP, in patients with HCM, particularly when it induces myocardial ischemia and LV diastolic dysfunction

Noncommutative Geometry, Extended W(infty) Algebra and Grassmannian Solitons in Multicomponent Quantum Hall Systems

Noncommutative geometry governs the physics of quantum Hall (QH) effects. We introduce the Weyl ordering of the second quantized density operator to explore the dynamics of electrons in the lowest Landau level. We analyze QH systems made of NN-component electrons at the integer filling factor ν=kN\nu=k\leq N. The basic algebra is the SU(N)-extended W_{\infty}. A specific feature is that noncommutative geometry leads to a spontaneous development of SU(N) quantum coherence by generating the exchange Coulomb interaction. The effective Hamiltonian is the Grassmannian GN,kG_{N,k} sigma model, and the dynamical field is the Grassmannian GN,kG_{N,k} field, describing k(Nk)k(N-k) complex Goldstone modes and one kind of topological solitons (Grassmannian solitons).Comment: 15 pages (no figures

Education and Marriage Decisions of Japanese Women and the Role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act

The Japanese Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA) of 1985 aimed to reduce gender discrimination in the labor market, especially for career-oriented jobs. This paper investigates whether this act had an unanticipated effect on women\u27s marriage decisions. Using micro data from the Japanese Panel Survey of Consumers, we model women\u27s interrelated decisions on university education and whether to marry, focusing on whether women have married by age 32. Our results show a negative relationship between university education and marriage that is much greater for post-EEOA cohorts of women than for pre-EEOA cohorts, consistent with our hypothesis that the enhanced career opportunities associated with the EEOA stimulated women to delay or forgo marriage

Education and Marriage Decisions of Japanese Women and the Role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act

Prompted by concordant upward trends in both the university advancement rate and the unmarried rate for Japanese women, this paper investigates whether the Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA), which was passed in 1985, affected women\u27s marriage decisions either directly or via their decisions to pursue university education. To this end, we estimate a model that treats education and marriage decisions as jointly determined using longitudinal data for Japanese women. We find little evidence that the passage of EEOA increased the proportion of women who advance to university, but strong support for the proposition that it increased the deterrent effect of university education on marriage

The Split-Algebras and Non-compact Hopf Maps

We develop a noncompact version of the Hopf maps based on the split algebras. The split algebras consist of three species: split-complex numbers, split quaternions, and split octonions. They correspond to three noncompact Hopf maps that represent topological maps between hyperboloids in different dimensions with hyperboloid bundle. We realize such noncompact Hopf maps in two ways: one is to utilize the split-imaginary unit, and the other is to utilize the ordinary imaginary unit. Topological structures of the hyperboloid bundles are explored, and the canonical connections are naturally regarded as noncompact gauge field of monopoles.Comment: 40 pages, no figures, + 8 pages, discussions and references added, published versio

The BV Formalization of Chern-Simons Theory on Deformed Superspace

In this paper we will study non-abelian Chern-Simons theory on a deformed superspace. We will deform the superspace in such a way that it includes the noncommutativity between bosonic and fermionic coordinates. We will first analyse the BRST and the anti-BRST symmetries of the Chern-Simons theory on this deformed superspace. Then we will analyse the extended BRST and the extended anti-BRST symmetries of this theory in the Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) formalism. Finally, we will express these extended BRST and extended anti-BRST symmetries in extended superspace formalism by introducing new Grassmann coordinates.Comment: 19 pages, 0 figures, accepted for publication in Comm.
