    Terrain Characterization and Soil Erosion Risk Assessment for Watershed Prioritization Using Remote Sensing and GIS (A case study of Nawagaon Maskara Rao Watershed, Saharanpur, India)

    Soil erosion is crucial problem in India where more than 70% of land in degraded. This study is to establish conservation priorities of the sub watersheds across the entire terrain, and suggest suitable conservation measures. Soil conservation practices are not only from erosion data both qualitative SES (Soil Erosion Status) model and quantitative MMF (Morgan, Morgan and Finney) model erosion, but we have to consider LCC (Land Capability Classification) and LULC (Land Use Land Cover). Study demonstrated the use of RS (Remote Sensing) and GIS (Geographic Information System) in soil erosion risk assessment by deriving soil and vegetation parameters in the erosion models. Sub-watersheds were prioritized based on average soil loss and the area falls under various erosion risk classes for conservation planning. The annual rate of soil loss based on MMF model was classified into five soil erosion risk classes for soil conservation measures. From 11 sub watersheds, for the first priority of the watershed is catchment with the small area and the steep slope. Recommendation for steep areas (classes VI, VII, and VIII) land use allocation should be made to maintain forest functions

    The characteristics of the landcover of a territory were really influenced by the condition biophysical and social his community’s economics. To the territory with the high rainfall had a rare population, the pattern of the landcover was more dominant to the annual crop, conversely to the high rainfall territory had a solid population the pattern of the land cover was more dominant in crops. Whereas to the dry territory (low rain) with the rare inhabitants, the pattern of his land cover was dominated the meadow and the crop kept dry. The requirement would the latest data, the high accuracy, to the area that was wide to monitor the change in one unity of the management of watershed. This research aimed at studying the application of remote sensing (RS) and the geographical information system (GIS) to monitoring and the evaluation of watershed. Physical conditions for the land that was dominated by the land form of the mountainous land and hills with the slope that was steep until precipitous, caused the territory around Grindulu Sub Watershed the potential would the occurrence of the landslide. This landslide incident was also supported by the rock situation that has begun to go mouldy resulting from the disintegration by the hot influence and rain as well as decomposition.     Work criteria and indicator of Catchments Area need to be determined because the success and the failure of cultivating Catchments Area can be monitored and evaluated through the determined criteria. Criteria Indicators in utilizing land, one of them is determined based on the erosion index and the ability of utilizing land, for analyzing the land critical level. However, the determination of identification and classification of land critical level has not been determined; as a result the measurement of how wide the real critical land is always changed all the year.     Catchments area can be analyzed as management system. Catchments area acquire input and it processed by the system to produce output. Land covers in catchments area are closely related to land use pattern and to management system. Land use changes to building area, agriculture and another activity are related to anthropological characters effected by change in function from vegetated land to unvegetated land. This condition have negative influences to the condition of carchment area. The damaged level of catchment area can be reflected by flood susceptibility, droughness, erosion and sedimentation, related impact onsite and offsite, so it is need a comprehensive management system from up land to low land river. To give information of land use in catchments area it needs accurate data about land cover in wide range. Remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) are applicable to monitor land coverage of management catchments area. The aim of this paper is to analyze land cover using remote sensing and GIS to catchments area monitoring and evaluation. Land use in watershed connection with the pattern of nature resources by the community and the management of watershed. Total area of land use Grindulu watershed was 65.539 ha. From the map of land use could be seen that the spreading of the equitable meeting forest from the upstream to lower, and most property of the people. Land use became 8 classes, that is: Agroforestry (20%), Open Land (12%), Rare Forest (1%), Dense Forest (29%), Village (34%), Paddy (0.4%), River (0.2%), and Field (3%)

    Sandy beach is a marginal land, when it is not managed properly the conditions will be worsened and at the end it cannot be planted. This marginal land is aggravated by unfavorable conditions such as extreme high temperatures, the presence of salt vapor that causes the plants to die, and the lacking of water for plants. With regard to this matter, it is necessary to conduct a research that aims to determine the role of Casuarina equisetifolia in improving the microclimate of sandy beaches. The research was conducted on sandy beaches in Karanggadung, Petanahan Subdistrict, Kebumen since 2005, with climate observations from 2009 to 2014. The climate observation method is by measuring light, air temperature, humidity, air pressure and altitude. Each measurement used three repetitions for each location and measured twice a day: 07.00 and 16.00. The results showed that the existence of C. equisetifolia gave a positive effect on micro climate improvement at Karanggadung Beach, Kebumen which included: 1) decreasing light intencity from 1925 lux to 213 lux, 2) decreasing air temperature from 31 °C to 25 °C, 3) increasing air humidity from 84% to 100%, 4) increasing air pressure from 1007 mb to 1008 mb, and 5) increasing sand dune level from 27 m ASL (Above Sea Level) to 35 m ASL

    Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sebuah perusahaan sistem tata udara yaitu PT Klimatek yang berlokasi di Jl. Alternatif Tarikolot, Desa Babakan, Citeureup – Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara menentukan kapasitas Air Handling Unit (AHU) yang meliputi cooling load dan air flow. Kapasitas AHU ini disesuaikan dengan ukuran ruangan dan beban kalor yang terdapat pada ruangan tersebut sehingga menghasilkan AHU yang dapat mengkondisikan udara dalam ruangan secara efektif dan efisien. Pengkondisian udara tersebut meliputi suhu, kelembaban dan kebersihan udara. Ruangan yang akan dijadikan sebagai tempat penelitian yaitu ruangan kantor di PT Klimatek. Setelah didapatkan ukuran ruangan dan jumlah beban kalor yang ada pada ruangan, maka kapasitas AHU sudah dapat dihitung. Perhitungan kapasitas AHU dilakukan secara manual dengan menggunakan rumus berdasarkan standard American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) yang telah diterapkan pada PT Klimatek. Setelah didapatkan kapasitas AHU, selanjutnya akan dibuat desain AHU dengan menggunakan aplikasi Autocad. Desain AHU yang telah dibuat akan diproduksi langsung secara nyata pada pabrik di PT Klimatek. Setelah selesai pembuatan AHU, selanjutnya akan dihitung jumlah ducting yang diperlukan sebagai saluran keluar masuknya udara. Perhitungan jumlah ducting dilakukan secara manual yang disesuaikan dengan jumlah air flow AHU. Dari hasil perhitungan yang didapat, selanjutnya desain instalasi yang meliputi AHU, ducting dan chiller sebagai satu kesatuan sistem tata udara yang akan mengkondisikan ruangan kantor di PT Klimatek dapat ditentukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Solidworks. Ducting dibuat dengan pengerjaan tangan menggunakanbahan polyisoschanurate. Chiller yang digunakan adalah mini chiller yang telah tersedia di gudang pabrik PT Klimatek. Terakhir,AHU tersebut dipasang di kantor PT Klimatek sehingga udara ruangan kantor dapat terkondisikan dengan dirancangAHU Standard yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi ruangan kantor PT Klimatek, yaitu memiliki return air temperatur sebesar 30,7C,relative humidity sebesar 42,5%, supply air memiliki temperatur sebesar 9,5C, relative humidity sebesar 80,9%, udara ruanganmemiliki temperatur sebesar 17,3C, dan relative humidity sebesar 82,4%

    Along with the proliferation of smartphone manufacturers, the latest innovations and fascinating features are presented, such as selfie cameras, VOOC flash charge (the best fast charging) on their products, providing that selfie cameras accommodate people who love to upload their photos to social media. Nowadays, consumers’ needs have called attention to a lifestyle that requires them to make choices on goods or services that are compatible with their needs. This study employed a survey method, with samples comprising millennials in Kuningan Regency with a total of 283 respondents, in which the data collection was done using questionnaires, validity and reliability tests were conducted. Multiple linear regression was used in data analysis. The results showed that product features, lifestyle, and price had a positive and significant effect simultaneously and partially on brand switching decisions. However, price had a greater influence on consumers’ decisions to switch brands.&nbsp
