Ge/SiGe Quantum Well p-i-n Structures for Uncooled Infrared Bolometers

Cataloged from PDF version of article. The temperature dependence of current is investigated experimentally for silicon–germanium (Si-Ge) multi-quantum-well p-i-n devices on Si substrates as uncooled bolometer active layers. Temperature coefficient of resistance values as high as −5.8%/K are recorded. This value is considerably higher than that of even commercial bolometer materials in addition to being well above the previous efforts based on CMOS compatible materials

Aegean International Textile and Advanced Engineering Conference (AITAE) -- SEP 05-07, 2018 -- GREECEWOS: 000481769900036The properties of biochars obtained by the torrefaction of acrylic based textile wastes were investigated. Waste fibres were torrefied at 300-400 degrees C and the results indicated that acrylic based textile wastes could be converted into biochar with a high mass yield. Resultant biochars had similar properties to bituminous coal.Ouzo Plomari, CreThiDev, IGFAScientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK)Turkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu (TUBITAK) [216M406]; Ege University Scientific Research Projects Coordination UnitEge University [16-TKUAM-002, 17-FEN-063]The authors would like to gratefully acknowledge the financial support for this research received through the project (No: 216M406) of The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK); and the projects (No: 16-TKUAM-002 and 17-FEN-063) of Ege University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit

Cognitive dysfunction of right hemisphere-like Todd's paralysis after status epilepticus: a case report

    Get PDF
We describe a case with symptoms of transient diffuse right hemisphere dysfunction (hemispatial neglect, dyscalculia, and disturbance of both spatial construction and visuospatial perception) occurring after status epilepticus. The clinical picture of this case suggested to us that these features could be understood as a variant of Todd's paralysis. (C) 2001 BEA Trading Ltd
