This bachelor thesis is focused on the intergenerational analysis of consumer attitudes in the tattoo market The theoretical part describes the environment and characteristics of this market and tattoos. The second part is focused on the theoretical basis of the analysis of consumers attitudes. Primary and secondary data were used for this thesis. To obtain primary data, a questionnaire was created which was completed by 904 respondents. Secondary data were taken mainly from professional literature and internet sources. Interpreted data taken from research shows opinions on tattoos by the baby boomer generation, X, Y and Z. They also show motives as to why people may or may not want tattoos and how opinons differ in relation to gender or education.116 - Katedra marketingu a obchoduvýborn

This diploma thesis deals with the behaviour of customers in the travel market. The aim was to compile their typology. This research deals with the opinions and travel options which the consumers used. Additionally, the reason for the consumers to travel was also determined. The results of the analysis set out the specific reasons for these preferences. The secondary goal of this work was to establish what impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on the behaviour of consumers from both groups.116 - Katedra marketingu a obchoduvýborn

Stochastic optimization of laboratory test workflow at metallurgical testing centers

    Get PDF
The objective of the paper is to present a way to shorten the time required to perform laboratory tests of materials in metallurgy. The paper finds a relation between the time to perform a test of materials and the number of technicians carrying out the test. The relation can be used to optimize the number of technicians. The approach is based on probability theory, as the amount of material to be tested is unknown in advance, and uses powerful modelling techniques involving the generalized estimating equations.Web of Science55478277

Problems of application of measurement system analysis (MSA) in metallurgical production

    Get PDF
This paper lists the most fundamental problems related to the application of measurement system analysis (MSA) in metallurgical production and outlines ways of solving them. Based on the real measurements it was found, that the width of the confidence interval constructed for the value of combined gage repeatability and reproducibility (GRR) can be reduced (and thus the reliability of the GRR value can be increased) more by raising the number of trials than by increasing the number of samples. The basic assumption for the use of analysis of variance (constant variance and the occurrence of outliers) can be verified by using the proposed multiple box and whisker plot.Web of Science55353753

Use of quality planning methods in optimizing welding wire quality characteristics

The quality of a product is given by the extent, to which the product meets customer requirements. It is generally accepted that the extent, to which the product meets such customer requirements, and, consequently, the resulting quality of the product itself, substantially depend on the early stages of the product lifecycle, i.e. on the design and development stages. Appropriate means for eff ective product quality planning can be found among quality management methods and tools. These methods are typically employed in engineering production and automotive industry. This paper focuses on exploring the potential of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Failure Mode and Eff ect Analysis (FMEA) methods for use in metallurgical production, an industrial branch where they have not been commonly employed as yet.Web of Science52453252

Quality 4.0 maturity assessment in light of the current situation in the Czech Republic

    Get PDF
Production companies throughout the world are currently facing challenges with the extensive transformation of their processes with regard to digitalisation and other features of Industry 4.0. Simultaneously, traditional quality management processes must be significantly changed, and the umbrella term "Quality 4.0" is used to represent this transformation. Many companies, including Czech enterprises, are still struggling with the concept of Quality 4.0, as there are a lot of uncertainties, misunderstandings, and false approaches. Additionally, a lot of questions arise about how to provide an objective and comprehensive assessment of the company's maturity or readiness for Quality 4.0. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to present our proposal of a framework and methodology on how to assess and measure the maturity level for the implementation of Quality 4.0. This proposal will be supplemented by a presentation of the main results obtained from a special field study, which was conducted at Czech production companies with the aim of obtaining a representative set of information showing their readiness to adopt Quality 4.0 and convert existing quality management systems into the new era. The authors also identify some research gaps, including the necessity to confirm the mutual relationship between the dimensions and items of Quality 4.0 and the sustainable development of companies or society.Web of Science1412art. no. 751

The aim of this article is to create a customer typology on the travel market in the Czech Republic according to what way of travelling abroad consumers prefer. Quantitative research was used for conducting primary data, which were obtained through an online questionnaire survey in February 2022. The researched population consisted of residents of the Czech Republic, who are over 15 years old and travel abroad on holiday at least once a year (before Covid-19 pandemics). A total of 579 respondents completed the survey, from which 399 respondents travel abroad on holiday, remaining 180 interviewed people were excluded from the research as they do not travel abroad. All data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics program. Respondents expressed their agreement with a total of 14 statements depending on if they prefer individual or organised way of travelling abroad on holiday. Based on how they evaluated these statements they were divided into several segments, according to their common characteristics, using factor and cluster analysis. Four segments were defined for individual travel market: “Trendy travellers“, „Adventurers“, „Easy- going travellers“ and „Open-minded travellers“ and also four segments for the organised travel market: “Influenceable travellers“, „Indifferent travellers“, „Conservative travellers“ and „Loyal travellers“

In the first part is an analysis of current approaches to solving the cost of quality. The second part is devoted to research of organizations approach to evaluating the economic aspects of quality management tools. In the third part are presented the facts that influence the determination of the costs of different tools of quality management. The last three chapters are devoted to specific tools of quality management – control chart. The first of them describes the development of economic models, which stands on the principles of Duncan model. The second is devoted to the determining of the costs in choosing the different parameters for the using control chart. The last part is devoted to the practical validation of the economic model.Prezenční639 - Katedra kontroly a řízení jakostivyhově
