The impact of organisational antecedents on employee job The impact of organisational antecedents on employee job satisfaction: An empirical evaluation of public sector employees in Pakistan
Human resource development is one of the important issues in the field of organisational behaviour.
It affects employee performance in the organisation. Job satisfaction is one of the important issues in
the developing country particularly for Pakistan. This study focuses on the employee perception
towards job satisfaction. In this regard procedural justices, on job training, esprit de corps and job
clarity variables have been examined. This study is a cross sectional study which applied a survey
questionnaire for data collection. In this regard employee of public sector health organisations
selected for data collection. Based on one hundred ten randomly selected participants, results show
significant and positive impact of procedural justices, on job training, esprit de corps for job
satisfaction. However, employees reported less job satisfaction with their jobs due to lack of fairness.
With few limitations this study contributes to literature in the field of human resource management
and organisational behaviour and can support public sector management to design policies that may
help to enhance employee job satisfaction in the context of developing countries i.e. Pakistan

Determinants of work attributes and personality aspects towards employees’ job satisfaction
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University.Organisations are constantly dealing with challenges to stay on competitive and doing
well, that induces organisations to consistently reassess their plans, formations, course of actions, procedure, and development to remain cost-effective and retain effective workforce. To keep employees highly motivated, content, and effective is however a focal and major issue in the domain of employee job satisfaction because of enormous human involvement. Consequently human resource managers are keen to find the strategies to keep their workforce fully motivated and dedicated to their jobs. In this study dissimilar from prior studies researcher has applied work attributes (Herzberg, 1968; Adams, 1963) and personality aspects (Judge etal, 2001) to examine the relationship of work attributes and personality disposition with job satisfaction. In current era of Information technology revolution organisations across the globe confronting several challenges on different counts including to keep workforce
motivated and effective to gain maximum from their skills. Keeping workforce motivated to reduce tardiness, absenteeism, misuse of resources, and turnover are major issues of concern in the domain of employee job satisfaction and human resources management. Therefore, human resources management practitioners, managers, and policy makers are enthusiastically concerned to know about the factors that may help to make workforce effective, motivated and contend with work. The aim of this Doctoral thesis was to study the determinants of employee job satisfaction. The objectives were to explore the organisational work attribute factors and employee personality aspects in Public healthcare sector of Pakistan Where various reforms introduced after implementation of new health policy called Health for All(HFA)
lately. This study was categorised in seven parts staring with introduction stating the
setting of the study which covers background of this empirical study and supplies the
transparent context information. In second phase systemic carefully carried literature
review led to theoretical frame work and hypotheses development in third phase.
Onwards Survey Questionnaires were administrated to General physicians working in public hospitals for data collection purpose. Descriptive statistics, multi analysis of variance, and exploratory factor analysis with the help of Statistical package for social science (SPSS) was applied to analyse the data, hypotheses testing and confirmatory factor analysis were done with the help of structural equation modelling(SEM). Outcome generated discovered that perception of procedural justice, on job training, working conditions, esprit de corps (team work) and personality aspects self esteem, and self efficacy belief, were significantly and affirmatively correlated and neuroticism personality aspect negatively correlated with employee job satisfaction. However, employee job clarity, task significance perception and personality aspect of locus of control orientation were not found to be related with job satisfaction. Implications and recommendation of research for employee job satisfaction are also discussed
Race Against the Machine: a Fully-annotated, Open-design Dataset of Autonomous and Piloted High-speed Flight
Unmanned aerial vehicles, and multi-rotors in particular, can now perform
dexterous tasks in impervious environments, from infrastructure monitoring to
emergency deliveries. Autonomous drone racing has emerged as an ideal benchmark
to develop and evaluate these capabilities. Its challenges include accurate and
robust visual-inertial odometry during aggressive maneuvers, complex
aerodynamics, and constrained computational resources. As researchers
increasingly channel their efforts into it, they also need the tools to timely
and equitably compare their results and advances. With this dataset, we want to
(i) support the development of new methods and (ii) establish quantitative
comparisons for approaches originating from the broader robotics and artificial
intelligence communities. We want to provide a one-stop resource that is
comprehensive of (i) aggressive autonomous and piloted flight, (ii)
high-resolution, high-frequency visual, inertial, and motion capture data,
(iii) commands and control inputs, (iv) multiple light settings, and (v)
corner-level labeling of drone racing gates. We also release the complete
specifications to recreate our flight platform, using commercial off-the-shelf
components and the open-source flight controller Betaflight, to democratize
drone racing research. Our dataset, open-source scripts, and drone design are

Molecular characterization of interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma
Interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma is an extremely rare cancer that lacks a standard treatment approach. We report on a patient who was surgically resected and remains disease- free. The tumor was assessed for druggable targets using immunohistochemical staining to identify potential agents that could be used in the event of disease recurrence
Impact of physical exercise on behavioral and social features in individuals with autism spectrum disorder
Background and Study Aim. Physical exercise is linked with several physical and psychological health advantages. A range of investigations has revealed the presence of a significant association between physical exercise and indicative improvements in subjects with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This systematic review aims to update the literature about the impact of physical exercise interventions on social, behavioral, and other outcomes for individuals with ASD.
Materials and Methods. The study design followed the PRISMA guidelines. A systematic search of electronic databases—PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Jane Publications—was performed from 2010 to December 2023. We searched for related research papers in English using keywords 'Autism Spectrum Disorder,' 'exercise,' and 'physical activity.
Results. This systematic review employed a four-stage screening process, which resulted in the inclusion of 18 trial studies. The intervention period varied from three to forty-eight weeks, with a frequency of 3-7 times per week. The results demonstrated that physical exercise had a substantial positive impact on communication, social interaction, and motor skills in subjects with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Conclusions. This review supports physical exercise as a powerful tool in decreasing stereotypical behaviors, and in improving social communication and motor skills in subjects diagnosed with ASD. Regular physical exercise therapy can have a greater effect on improving the quality of life for ASD subjects
Psychiatric rating scales in Urdu: a systematic review
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Researchers setting out to conduct research employing questionnaires in non-English speaking populations need instruments that have been validated in the indigenous languages. In this study we have tried to review the literature on the status of cross-cultural and/or criterion validity of all the questionnaires measuring psychiatric symptoms available in Urdu language.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>A search of Medline, Embase, PsycINFO and <url>http://www.pakmedinet.com</url> was conducted using the search terms; Urdu psychiatric rating scale, and Urdu and Psychiatry. References of retrieved articles were searched. Only studies describing either cross-cultural or criterion validation of a questionnaire in Urdu measuring psychiatric symptoms were included.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Thirty two studies describing validation of 19 questionnaires were identified. Six of these questionnaires were developed indigenously in Urdu while thirteen had been translated from English. Of the six indigenous questionnaires five had had their criterion validity examined. Of the thirteen translated questionnaires only four had had both their cross-cultural and criterion validity assessed.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>There is a paucity of validated questionnaires assessing psychiatric symptoms in Urdu. The BSI, SRQ and AKUADS are the questionnaires that have been most thoroughly evaluated in Urdu.</p
Reproductive health and access to healthcare facilities: risk factors for depression and anxiety in women with an earthquake experience
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>The reproductive and mental health of women contributes significantly to their overall well-being. Three of the eight Millennium Development Goals are directly related to reproductive and sexual health while mental disorders make up three of the ten leading causes of disease burden in low and middle-income countries. Among mental disorders, depression and anxiety are two of the most prevalent. In the context of slower progress in achieving Millennium Development Goals in developing countries and the ever-increasing man-made and natural disasters in these areas, it is important to understand the association between reproductive health and mental health among women with post-disaster experiences.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>This was a cross-sectional study with a sample of 387 women of reproductive age (15-49 years) randomly selected from the October 2005 earthquake affected areas of Pakistan. Data on reproductive health was collected using the Centers for Disease Control reproductive health assessment toolkit. Depression and anxiety were measured using the Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25, while earthquake experiences were captured using the Harvard Trauma Questionnaire. The association of either depression or anxiety with socio-demographic variables, earthquake experiences, reproductive health and access to health facilities was estimated using multivariate logistic regression.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Post-earthquake reproductive health events together with economic deprivation, lower family support and poorer access to health care facilities explained a significant proportion of differences in the experiencing of clinical levels of depression and anxiety. For instance, women losing resources for subsistence, separation from family and experiencing reproductive health events such as having a stillbirth, having had an abortion, having had abnormal vaginal discharge or having had genital ulcers, were at significant risk of depression and anxiety.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>The relationship between women's post-earthquake mental health and reproductive health, socio-economic status, and health care access is complex and explained largely by the socio-cultural role of women. It is suggested that interventions that consider gender differences and that are culturally appropriate are likely to reduce the incidence.</p
Big data in an HR context: Exploring organizational change readiness, employee attitudes and behaviors
YesThis research highlights a contextual application for big data within a HR case study setting. This is achieved
through the development of a normative conceptual model that seeks to envelop employee behaviors and
attitudes in the context of organizational change readiness. This empirical application considers a data sample
from a large public sector organization and through applying Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) identifies
salary, job promotion, organizational loyalty and organizational identity influences on employee job satisfaction
(suggesting and mediating employee readiness for organizational change). However in considering this specific
context, the authors highlight how, where and why such a normative approach to employee factors may be
limited and thus, proposes through a framework which brings together big data principles, implementation
approaches and management commitment requirements can be applied and harnessed more effectively in
order to assess employee attitudes and behaviors as part of wider HR predictive analytics (HRPA) approaches.
The researchers conclude with a discussion on these research elements and a set of practical, conceptual and
management implications of the findings along with recommendations for future research in the area
