Paham Qadariyah dan Jabariyah pada Pelaku Pasar Pelelangan Ikan Bajoe Kabupaten Bone Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan

This article discusses the thoughts of fish auction market in Bajoe on Qadariyah and Jabariyah and the role of Qadariyah and Jabariyah theology on the fish auction market of Bajoe. The methodology used for this research is a descriptive method, to explain the problem, events, and any recent phenomenon. In Islamic thoughts, human activities are interpreted in two mainstreams of thoughts. Firstly, the interpretation that human is a free to will, that human activities are created by his self. Secondly, human actions are not created by man, but by God. For this group, a human is not strong enough to do anything, God controls everything. The first stream, in Islamic thought known as Qadariyah, while the second is called Jabariyah. Several people in the community of fish auction market of Bajoe agree on the opinions of Qadariyah and Jabariyah, while some others disagree. Similarly, most of them are affected by Qadariyah and partly influenced by Jabariyah

The Attitudes of Students From ESL and EFL Countries to English

This research is to study the attitudes of English students from English asa Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL)country in English and Foreign Languages University (EFL University),Hyderabad to English. This is a descriptive-quantitative research with asurvey method. The attitudes researched include those to listening,speaking, reading, and writing. The data was taken through questionnaireconsisting of 20 questions. The findings of this study showed that theEnglish students in EFL University have neutral-to-positive attitudes toListening, positive attitudes to Speaking, positive attitudes to Reading,and poor attitudes to Writing. In addition, the English students from ESLcountry have better attitudes to Reading (positive) and Writing (neutral)and those from EFL country have better attitudes to Speaking (neutral-topositive)and Listening (neutral-to-positive). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti sikap mahasiswa jurusan bahasaInggris yang berasal dari Negara yang menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa kedua (ESL) dan yang menggunakan bahasa Inggrissebagai bahasa asing (EFL) di Universitas Bahasa Inggris dan BahasaAsing (English and Foreign Languages University/EFL University),Hyderabad terhadap bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini adalah penelitiandeskriptif-kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey. Sikap yangditeliti termasuk sikap terhadap mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, danmenulis. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang terdiri dari 20pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa di EFLUniversity memiliki sikap netral ke positif terhadap mendengarkan, sikappositif terhadap berbicara, sikap positif terhadap membaca, dan sikapyang kurang positif terhadap menulis. Mahasiswa dari negara ESLmemiliki sikap yang lebih baik terhadap membaca (positif) danmenulis(netral) dan mereka yang berasal dari negara EFL memiliki sikapyang lebih baik terhadap berbicara (netral ke positif) dan mendengarkan(netral ke positif

The Band of Abdul Qahhar Mudzakkar: Biographical Sketch of Rebelious Leaders of Islamic State-Indonesian Islamic Army (Di/tii) of Sulawesi

The rebellious movement of Islamic State-Indonesian Islamic Army (DI/TII) began from dissa­tis­faction towards the secular state of newly indepen­dent Indonesia. Abd. Qahhar Mudzakkar, the leader of DI/TII in Sulawesi and his followers revolted against the govern­ment, and subsequently formed their own Islamic government. Since Qahhar graduated from Muhammadiyah school, his theological basis in his cause to establishing an Islamc state is very prevalent. He believed that his Islamic state is to uphold the truth and to defend the religion of Allah. Thus whoever opposed his DI/TII movement would be considered infidel simply because of favoring or supporting the Indonesian government they considered secular and communist. His followers and supporters were preachers and clerics, who helped Qahhar by carrying out specific functions and positions in his Islamic state. In addition, those people played an important role in getting recognition and acceptance of Sulawesi muslim society for Islamic state campaign launched by Abdul Qahhar Mudzak­kar. Without their involvement, DI/TII would never had been so popular among muslim community in Sulawesi

Konsep Jiwa dan Pengaruhnya dalam Kepribadian Manusia (Studi Atas Tafsi>r Al-Mishba>h Karya Quraish Shihab)

This article attempts to explore Qur\u27anic notion on soul and its influence on human personality as Quraish Shihab constructed in his Tafsi>r al-Mishba>h. Using psychological and semantical approaches, it parallelizes psychological with Qur\u27anic perspectives on the concept of soul. Then, it examines how the soul influences human personality. This paper concludes the following. First, Quraish Shihab\u27s view of the concept of soul can be understood by explaining his thought on the basic concept of human, psychical structure, and human behavioral motivation. Quraish Shihab said that humans\u27 basic character is kindness. The psychical structure consists of al-fit}rah, al-nafs, al-qalb, al-ru>h, al-‘aql. Then, human behavioral motivation is to complete their physical/biological needs and/or spiritual needs. Second, the soul influences and shapes human personality through integration process among those psychical dimensions

This article wants to examine the extent of radical thought in the minds of the younger generation pervasive in Aceh. With the new Aceh conditions experienced several years of post-conflict situation safe again struck by discovered a number of terrorists who make Jalin mountains forest, Aceh Besar, as a military training ground. Also found are also a number of books that have a narrative that can bring inspiration radicalism and terrorism acts. The results of in-depth interviews of young activists in Aceh, can be explained that the concept of terrorism models struggle can not be accepted by young activists in the city of Banda Aceh. They have to understand the teachings of Islam that is relatively comprehensive and proportional. But their ideals in order to uphold Islamic shariah in Aceh is a necessity.

Relevansi Al-khilaf Al-fiqhi dan Toleransi (Analisis Toleransi Antar Umat Islam dalam Fiqh)

Para fuqaha dalam istinbath hukum dari nash-nash tentu akan berhadapan pada berbilangnya pendapat, baik secara juziyat atau kulliyat. Bila terdapat perbedaan pada dasar kaidah dan hukumnya yang kulli, maka tentu akan terdapat perbedaan pada furu`. Realitasnya bahwa pengetahuan dan kemampuan yang berbeda-beda menjadi sebab dari ikhtilaf fiqhi, karena dalam ketetapan kaidah berimplikasi pada perbedaan. Masalah toleransi dalam memposisikan pada permasalahan perbedaan atas ketetapan hukum sehingga al-khilaf al-fiqhi tidak dapat dielakkan. Islam sebagai agama yang sangat mengarahkan umatnya pada kesatuan dan diumpamakanlah umatnya bagaikan satu jasad. Relevansi sikap pada Kenyataan al-khliaf al-fiqhi datang dari para fuqaha yang berpegang pada al-Quran dan Sunnah. Tapi daya upaya yang dikeluarkan fuqaha dalam memahaminya menjadi fenomena yang tidak dapat dielakkan terjadinya perbedaan sehingga membangun sikap untuk saling menghargai, saling menghormati antara satu dengan lainnya adalah mutlak

Designing Fractional Task using the PMRI Approach

Fraction was very important to be taught as a basis for learning mathematics for the next stage. This research aimed to design fractions learning for fourth grade students. The method used was design research with type of validation studies which consists three stages, namely the preliminary design, the design experiment, and the retrospective   analysis. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Jambi City with research subjects were eleven students in the fourth grade. Based on the research       findings, it was concluded that students really followed the command of questions, so as a teacher or question maker, we must design questions clearly. Menjaga atau meeruskan tradisi dalam arsitektur tradisional tidak berarti dengan mengulang bentuk yang sama, karena didalam arsitektur perkembangan desain dan struktur berlanjut seiiring dengan perkembangan/ Perubahan budaya dan teknologi. Hal ini perlu dijaga agar kreativitas tidak mati. Hal ini bisa terwujud dengan meneruskan tradisi kebijakan lokal sebagai konsep dalam membangun.Kebijakan lokal yang diteruskan memberikan banyak memberi mamfaat bagi kehidupan manusia. Karena kebijakan lokal sendiri adalah bagian dari budaya yang dihasilkan dari pengalaman-pengalaman dan tindakan manusia secara trial dan eror demi mendapatkan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik. Kebijakan lokal tidak hanya merupakan suatu tradisi yang harus di teruskan tetapi membentuk identitas dak karakter kewilayahan manusia sendiri, terutama didalam budaya dan arsitektur. Kebijakan lokal ini juga menjaga keseimbangan hidup antara manusia dan lingkungannya. Nenek moyang kita belajar dari pengalaman mereka hidup bersama dengan alam dan belajar bagaimana memberi kepada dan menerima dari alam sehingga alam tetap terjaga kelestariannya. Hal-hal ini lah yang dijadikan kebijakan lokal dan tradisi ini perlu diteruskan karena dengan menjaga tradisi ini maka kita akan tetap hidup seimbang bersama lingkungan kita
