    The research about Waste of Corn as Substrate In Produce Poly-β-Hydroxy Butyrate (PHB) by Bacterial Isolates Origin Sugar Factory Arasoe Bone. The research purpose to determine the ability of bacterial isolates from sugar mills Arasoe Bone is BA9 and MA4 and nitrogen concentration optimal for producing the PHB. With usewaste of corn as a source of carbon with a concentration 1%, 2%, 3% and as control positive glucose 1%, as well as use of ammonium sulfate as nitrogen source at a concentration of 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.15%. Total Analysis of PHB done with use UV-VIS spectrophotometer and a wavelength of 235 nm and using analysis a regression equation. The result of this study that use of corn as a source of carbon waste can produce PHB either by BA9 and MA4 isolates though still lower than glucose as the carbon source. The concentration of nitrogen source (ammonium sulfate), which accumulate PHB optimal concentration of ammonium sulfate that is at 0.1%

    The research about potential of some probiotic isolates as an antibacterial on the growth of Vibrio spp had been done. This research aimed to know the antibacterial potency from some isolates probiotic on the growth of Vibrio spp. This research to tested the inhibition on the three species of Vibrio that are Vibrio harveyi, Vibrio prahaemolyticus, and Vibrio cholerae using agar diffusion method. Probiotic isolates come from lactic acid bacteria group that provide beneficial effects on health and its host. Used also commercial probiotic (S.NB) as a positive control. From the results of the inhibitory effect on the growth of pathogenic bacteria test showed all isolates probiotics have the ability to inhibit Vibrio spp. At 1 x 24-hour observation shown isolates B most excellent in inhibiting the growth of Vibrio harveyi, against Vibrio parahaemolyticus obtained isolates C most excellent inhibited bacteria, whereas against Vibrio cholerae isolates H was most excellent in inhibiting the pathogenic bacteria. After 2 x 24 hours observation was to known that all isolates probiotics used have the ability as antibacterial that was bactericidal on the growth of Vibrio harveyi, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio cholera

    This research aims to investigate the maximal generation time and the characterization of chitinase enzyme of Chitinolytic bacteria from Anadara granosa shell in various pH, temperature and substrate concentration. The result of the maximal time of Chitinolytic bacteria was showed at 120 hours. The result of Chitinolytic bacteria characteristic in various pH shows that the highest activity of chitinase is on pH 6 and in various temperature shows that the highest activity at 350C while in various substrate concentration shows that the highest activity value of chitinase is on substrate concentration 0.5%

    The research about ???Production of poly-??-Hydroxy Butyrate (PHB) by the Bacteria Isolates from Molasses and Sugar Factory Land' was conducted as a purpose to determine the quantified of PHB production by bacteria isolates from molasses and sugar factory land. The research was carried out by cultivating the three isolates are A1 and A2 were isolated from the sugar factory land and TS2 were isolated from molasses, in PHB production medium, where all the three isolates have been known to accumulate PHB qualitatively. Incubation is carried out for 72 hours, then the bacteria cultures were centrifuged at 4000 rpm for 15 minutes, the supernatant was discarded and the pellets were formed suspended with 5 mL of aquadest. Then 1 mL of cell suspension was taken to measure the dry weight of the cell mass and 1 mL else was taken for analysis of PHB content by spectrophotometer-UV at a wavelength of 235 nm. The final result is obtained that isolate A2 from the sugar factory land have the ability to accumulate PHB is better than the other isolates, that is 14,79% by weight of the dry cell mass, while the isolate TS2 from molasses have the ability to accumulate PHB as much as 5,65% by weight of the dry cell mass and A1 has the ability to accumulate PHB as much as 5,65% by weight of the dry cell mass

    The research on the potency of tunicate Rhopalaea sp as a source of inoculum fungal symbionts that produce antimicrobial has been done. This research aimed to know the tunicate's potency as a source of inoculum fungal symbionts and to characterize isolate symbiont fungal Rhopalaea sp. Isolation of fungi was performed using a PDA medium (Potato Dextrose Agar). Characterization of isolates fungal symbiont through macroscopic and microscopic observation, and testing its activity against pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The results showed there were three isolates(Asc 1, Asc 2 dan Asc 3) of fungal symbionts Rhopalaea sp. The results of macroscopic observation colony showed that Asc 1 had a flat surface such as cotton while Asc 2 and Asc 3 had a surface such as flour; Colours of isolates : Asc 1 (yellow), Asc 2 and Asc 3 (dark green). The result of microscopic observation reveals that Asc 1 had septa, Asc 2 and Asc 3 hadn't septa; Asc 1 with blue brownish hyphae, while Asc 2 and Asc 3 hyaline (colorless); Asc 1 had asexual spores sporangiophores, while Asc 2 and Asc 3 had conidioshpore. Asc 1 isolate was suspected, belongs to the genus Penicillium and Asc 2 and Asc 3 isolates were suspected to be classified into the genus Aspergillus. All three isolates were able to inhibit the growth of Salmonella thypi bacteria and Candida albicans fungus
