Factorización para invidentes
Planteamos la utilización de la Áreas Mágicas, un material didáctico para la factorización de polinomios que consta de figuras geométricas (cuadrados y rectángulos) de ciertas dimensiones que, dispuestas de la forma correcta, proporcionan al educando la opción de deducir las expresiones utilizadas en los llamados “casos de factorización” sin recurrir a la memorización. Esto facilitaría un aprendizaje significativo de dicha temática sin caer en la rutina de solucionar un gran número de ejercicios que le limitan a la aplicación de cierto algoritmo que, en ocasiones, no comprenden. Presentamos la utilización de este material con niños invidentes

Computational Fluid Dynamics in Turbulent Flow Applications
This chapter is intended to present to readers a general scope of the technical, theoretical, and numerical applications of computational fluid dynamics using the finite volume method, restricted to incompressible turbulent flows (Ma < 0.3). The main objective of this chapter was to provide readers of a starting point to select an adequate numerical model for the flow regime of interest. Such knowledge could be a key at the moment of extending the analysis to more complex problems, for example, the ones found in heat transfer and fluid flows, multiphase flows, and compressible flows

La Comunidad de Madrid reúne en sus poco más de 8.000 km2 una notable riqueza florística gracias a la variedad de ambientes que contiene. Así, su flora vascular no bajaría de las 2.700 especies, más del 30% del catálogo florístico total español. Esta diversidad se repite asimismo entre los briófitos, grupo menos explorado pero del que no menos de 450 especies, el 40% de las peninsulares, viven en el territorio madrileñ
La formación del concepto de función en alumnos de educación media superior
En este artículo se describe la realización de un taller cuyo diseño responde al marco de una investigación en proceso, que explora los saberes que sobre el concepto de función tienen los alumnos de educación media superior (EMS) y pretende analizar los efectos que presenta la puesta en escena de situaciones didácticas sobre la formación del concepto de función. En la primera etapa de la investigación se están explorando dichos saberes en 30 alumnos de EMS y 10 de los primeros semestres de la licenciatura en matemáticas en Acapulco, Guerrero, México. También se han diseñado situaciones didácticas para abordar este concepto, a fin de que se instrumenten en la escuela. Con estos avances se estructuró el taller para interesados en este campo y realizado en Relme 17 con la participación de siete profesores
Desgaste psíquico y vulnerabilidad social de mujeres zapotlenses. Un estudio descriptivo
Introduction: Numerous studies have documented the impact of psychosocial risks, and particularly the psychic wear on workers’ health. However, women in a situation of social vulnerability have not been the subject of exploration. Objective: To characterize the psychic wear in a sample of vulnerable women. Materials and methods: An exploratory, descriptive and correlational study was conducted. The dimension number 4 from the Battery for the study of the working conditions of psychosocial character was applied (CTCPS-MAC), which evaluates psychological wear and 3 particular factors (cognitive-emotional response; behavioral response and physiological response) at 99 Vulnerable women of Zapotlán el Grande. Results: A 75.8 % of the participants presented optimal conditions with ratings between good and very good, 24.2% between normal and harmful, which indicates that they require immediate assistance. The most affected factor was number 1 (cognitive-emotional response), 52,5% presented negative symptomatology. There were no significant associations between the sociodemographic variables studied and the psychic wear. Conclusions: The results allow to open doors for deeper investigations with the population studied in order to guarantee mental health and quality of life for women with social vulnerability in Zapotlán el Grande
Susceptibility of different life stages of <i>Blattella germanica</i> (Blattodea: Blattellidae) and <i>Periplaneta fuliginosa</i> (Blattodea: Blattidae) to entomopathogenic fungi
The susceptibility of nymphs and adults of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica Linnaeus (Blattodea: Blattellidae) and the smokybrown cockroach, Periplaneta fuliginosa Serville (Blattodea: Blattidae) to Argentinian isolates of the entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium anisopliae (Metschn.) Sorokin (CEP 085) and Beauveria bassiana (Bals.-Criv.) Vuill. (CEP 077) was evaluated. Fungi were tested by using two different methods: bait and direct contact. Mortality was monitored daily for twenty days to obtain LT50. M. anisopliae produced 60 and 93% mortality in nymphs and adults of B. germanica, respectively, when conidia were applied by direct contact. The LT50 for adults was 3.8 days, and 8.6 days for nymphs. Direct contact of B. bassiana produced 80% mortality on adults of B. germanica with a LT50 of 4.9 days, and for nymphs 40 % mortality in 10 days. When B. germanica was exposed to bait, the level of mortality was significant in adults. Nymphs of P. fuliginosa were treated with bait with M. anisopliae and B. bassiana and they caused 50% mortality with a LT50 of 22 days, and LT50 of 27 days respectively. Nymphs and adults of P. fuliginosa treated by direct contact and adults treated with bait showed that mortality level was not significantly different as compared to the control. Results showed differences in susceptibility between the two species of cockroaches and between nymphs and adults of the same species. In addition, different responses to the fungal species with the two methods that were used in the bioassays have been demonstrated. This is the first report of susceptibility of P. fuliginosa to entomopathogenic fungi. This study demonstrates the potential of fungi as biocontrol agents against this pest.Centro de Estudios Parasitológicos y de Vectore
