Inclusive Semi-leptonic B Decays to order 1/m_b^4
We give a systematic way to compute higher orders in the 1/m_b expansion in
inclusive semi-leptonic decays at tree level. We reproduce the known 1/m_b^3
terms and compute the 1/m_b^4 terms at tree level. The appearing
non-perturbative parameters and the impact on the determination of V_{cb} are
discussed.Comment: 23 pages, 3 figures, uses phystex.st
Precision Measurements and Fermion Geography in the Randall-Sundrum Model Revisited
We re-examine the implications of allowing fermion fields to propagate in the
five-dimensional bulk of the Randall-Sundrum (RS) localized gravity model. We
find that mixing between the Standard Model top quark and its Kaluza Klein
excitations generates large contributions to the rho parameter and consequently
restricts the fundamental RS scale to lie above 100 TeV. To circumvent this
bound we propose a `mixed' scenario which localizes the third generation
fermions on the TeV brane and allows the lighter generations to propagate in
the full five-dimensional bulk. We show that this construction naturally
reproduces the observed m_c / m_t and m_s / m_b hierarchies. We explore the
signatures of this scenario in precision measurements and future high energy
collider experiments. We find that the region of parameter space that addresses
the hierarchies of fermion Yukawa couplings permits a Higgs boson with a mass
of 500 GeV and remains otherwise invisible at the LHC. However, the entire
parameter region consistent with electroweak precision data is testable at
future linear colliders. We briefly discuss possible constraints on this
scenario arising from flavor changing neutral currents.Comment: 44 pages, 20 ps files; VII, typos fixed and refs adde
NNLO fermionic corrections to the charm quark mass dependent matrix elements in B -> X_s gamma
We compute the virtual O(alpha_s^2) fermionic contributions to the charm
quark mass dependent matrix elements of the B -> X_s gamma decay. In the case
of a massless quark loop insertion into the gluon propagator, our result
obtained as an expansion in z=m_c^2/m_b^2 and an exact expression in terms of
multi-fold MB integrals, confirms the findings of Bieri, Greub and Steinhauser
[19]. We observe, however, large deviations in the case of a b-quark loop
insertion. The charm quark loop shows smaller, but still noticeable differences.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, 1 tabl
The Time of the Infant, Parent-Infant Desynchronization and Attachment Disorganization, or How Long Does it Take for a Preventive Action to be Effective?
The classical version of early development by psychoanalysis has been largely challenged by developmental psychology, and particularly by attachment theory. Psychopathology appears to be much more linked with a sequence of events involving interpersonal relationship disorders rather than with intra psychic conflicts, as hypothesised by drive theory. Establishing synchrony between parent and infant is probably one of the major tasks of the first year of life. Attachment theory appears to be the modern paradigm to understand how the several types of answers from caregivers to stressing situations in the infant give way to different emotional and cognitive regulatory strategies, with impact on the effectiveness of the stress buffer systems. This paper presents what we can figure out about what is time to the infant, the importance of synchronization within infant and caregiver, the key concept of attachment disorganization, the concept of sustained social withdrawal as a defence mechanism and an alarm signal when synchronisation fails, and finally the key issue of conditions for effectiveness of early parent- infant preventive intervention.Parent- infant synchrony, Attachment Disorganization, Parenting, infant social withdrawal behaviour, early prevention and intervention
Leadership in Collegiate Soccer
One of the most significant athletic and social changes in the United States over the past two decades has been the growing popularity of soccer. Since the mid-1990s, soccer popularity has exploded, fueled by the emergence and growth of Major League Soccer (MLS) (Saporito, 2010). Though soccer is the world’s most popular sport in terms of attendance, U.S. soccer matches have modest attendance; however, this may be changing. Soccer popularity has increased through participation and media coverage while becoming integrated into the U.S. culture (Saporito, 2010). This research examined an extremely important aspect of the sport . . . the leadership of coaches

Pseudoscalar mixing in J/psi and psi(2S) decay
Based on the branching fractions of J/psi(psi(2S))-> VP from different
collaborations, the pseudoscalar mixing is extensively discussed with a well
established phenomenological model. The mixing angle is determined to be -14
degree by fitting to the new world average if only quark content is considered.
After taking into account the gluonic content in eta and eta prime
simultaneously, the investigation shows that eta favors only consisting of
light quarks, while the gluonic content of eta prime is Z_{eta
prime}^2=0.30\pm0.24.Comment: 8 page
