    Latency for patients with presumed low grade glioma tested with Boston Naming Test

    Syftet med detta examensarbete var att mĂ€ta och analysera svarstid pĂ„ bildbenĂ€mningstestet Boston Naming Test (BNT). En patientgrupp bestĂ„ende av 23 deltagare med förmodade lĂ„ggradiga gliom (LGG) samt en referensgrupp med 103 deltagare genomförde en BNT-testning och svarstiden för varje bild mĂ€ttes. Gruppernas resultat jĂ€mfördes för tre svarstidsmĂ„tt samt antal korrekta svar. Patienterna med förmodade LGG testades bĂ„de före operation och tre mĂ„nader efter operation. Resultatet kunde inte pĂ„visa nĂ„gra signifikanta skillnader i svarstid eller antal korrekta svar i patientgruppen före och efter operation. Patientgruppen skiljde sig inte heller signifikant frĂ„n den Ă„ldersstratifierade kontrollgruppen för varken antal korrekta svar eller nĂ„got av svarstidsmĂ„tten. Patientgruppen var heterogen och resultaten skiljde sig mycket deltagarna emellan.The aim with this study was to measure and analyze latency time for participants tested with the picture-naming test Boston Naming Test. A group of 23 patients with presumed low grade gliomas (LGG) and a reference group of 103 participants were tested and compared. The groups results were compared and measured for three latency measurements and accuracy. The patients with presumed LGG were tested before and three months after tumor resection. There were no significant differences between the control group and the patients with presumed LGG for either picture-naming latency or accuracy. When comparing the patients before and after surgery there were no significant differences for any of the measurements. An important finding was that the group of patients were a heterogeneous group and the patients’ results differed

    The increasing integration of technology in education has led to significant changes in the way teaching and learning is conducted. This study aims to investigate the impact of digitalization on schools and the teaching of social studies subjects. The research focuses on identifying changes in learning, teaching, the role of teachers and student engagement as a result of the implementation of digitalization in the classroom. The study also aims to explore the challenges and opportunities that have been created by the increasing use of digitalization in schools and society-oriented education. Data was collected through five interviews with teachers who use digital ways in their teaching of social science subjects, and the results were analyzed qualitatively. The findings indicate that digitalization has positively impacted student learning and engagement, but also highlighted challenges. The study concludes that while digitalization presents challenges, it also creates opportunities for improving teaching and learning and increasing student engagement. The results of this study can be used to guide teachers and schools in the effective integration of digitalization in society-oriented education

    Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka sex elevers uppfattningar om boksamtal, med fokuspÄ deras lÀsförstÄelse och lÀslust. Detta görs inom ramen för lÀsprojektet 16-Ärsboken pÄKullagymnasiet i HöganÀs och utifrÄn boksamtal om ungdomsboken Bergtagen avCamilla Sten (2020). Studien har en fenomenografisk ansats och den kvalitativaundersökningen utgörs av tre semistrukturerade intervjuer dÀr sex gymnasieeleverintervjuas parvis. Studien visar att bÄde lÀrarledda boksamtal i helklass, och boksamtal i mindregrupper utan lÀrare, uppfattas ha en positiv pÄverkan pÄ sÄvÀl lÀsförstÄelse som lÀslust.Utbyte av tankar och idéer i den sociala interaktionen pekas ut som en frÀmjande faktor.En annan Àr kunskap om litteraturvetenskapliga begrepp och metasprÄk för att tala omdet lÀsta och kommunicera sin lÀsförstÄelse. LÀrarens stöd och frÄgor fick informanternaatt utveckla sina tankar och resonemang i boksamtalen. Studien argumenterar för att boksamtalet ur ett lÀrarperspektiv bör ses som enenhet.     How digitization has affected history teaching for students withneuropsychiatric disabilities

    The purpose of this work is to investigate how the school’s digitization has affected history teaching for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities. In order to fulfill the purpose, the following question has been formulated: “What consequences does the school’s digitization generate for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities within the frame of history teaching?” The method for this work is based on systematic literature research through three databases, SwePub, Google Scholar and ERIC. These three databases were used to produce articles to further strengthen our question. The searches were done in both Swedish and English to get the largest possible selection of items. The results show that the school’s digitization has a positive impact on students with various neuropsychiatric disabilities but also all students. However, there are a limited number of studies that show the positive effects on NPF students. But based on the research found, it can be stated that digital tools play a crucial role in the child developing knowledge in order to achieve the goals in their education

    Professionell livskvalitet hos individer i trauma- och krishanterande yrken

    Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur individer som i sin yrkesroll arbetar med flyktingar tenderar att uppleva medkÀnsletillfredsstÀllelse, utbrÀndhet och sekundÀr traumatisk stress. En kvantitativ enkÀtstudie utformades baserad pÄ frÄgeformulÀret ProQOL version 5. FormulÀret mÀter professionell livskvalitet hos individer som arbetar i hjÀlpande yrken. Till mÀtinstrumentet adderades demografiska frÄgor för att se om utbildning och upplevelse av trygghet i kris- och traumahantering, yrkesverksamma Är och Älder var faktorer som kunde ha inverkan pÄ utfallet. EnkÀten distribuerades med hjÀlp av utvalda arbetsgivare till arbetstagare som innefattades i urvalsgruppen. Urvalet bestod av individer som i sin yrkesroll möter och hjÀlper flyktingar. Resultaten visade att medelvÀrdena för delskalorna medkÀnsletillfredsstÀllelse, utbrÀndhet och sekundÀr traumatisk stress lÄg inom de etablerade normerna. UtbrÀndhet och sekundÀr traumatisk stress korrelerade positivt med varandra. MedkÀnsletillfredsstÀllelse korrelerade negativt med utbrÀndhet och sekundÀr traumatisk stress. De som hade utbildning inom kris -och traumahantering upplevde lÀgre grad av sekundÀr traumatisk stress Àn de som inte hade utbildning. Resultaten tyder pÄ att högre grad av medkÀnsletillfredsstÀllelse kan hjÀlpa till att förebygga utbrÀndhet och sekundÀr traumatisk stress. Det finns Àven indikationer pÄ att utbildning kan hjÀlpa till att minska graden av sekundÀr traumatisk stress

    International audienceThe water column chemistry of lake St Eloy (St Eloy-les Mines, Allier, France) was monitored over a period of a year. This is a small stratified lake created by subsidence of an underground coal mine. The results show a permanent stratification and the development of two water bodies with contrasting chemistry. The superficial oxic layer (i.e. the upper 5 m) is of high water quality and the water, not affected by seasonal changes, is suitable as a source of drinking water. In contrast, the deeper layer is permanently anoxic and the waters have a conductivity which is six times greater than in the epilimnion. Due to density difference and the small size of the lake, no turn-over occurs and all elements that diffuse from bottom sediments are strongly concentrated in the hypolimnion. Arsenic concentrations are very low in the epilimnion, but they increase quickly with depth below the oxycline, to reach up to 7 ÎŒM below 8 m depth. Different solid phases could control the fate of arsenic in this lake such as gypsum for As(V) in the hypolimnion, mackinawite for As(V) and As(III) in the hypolimnion, and close to the oxycline, Fe(III) oxyhydroxides are possible hosts for both As(III) and As(V)
